Richard Holt promptly returned my call, conducted a site visit shortly after, and provided plans for removing a load-bearing wall and installing a steel beam. Chris walked through the home with me explaining anything that looked odd or unsettling. He was able to uncover some issues that others had not and provide a detailed report. The report restated everything we had discussed in the meeting and recommendations on what needed to happen next.
He also made himself available to the contractor to answer questions and address future concerns.

The inspection report for the home I was purchasing noted there were cracks / settlement in the front stoop and recommended further evaluation by a structural engineer. Criterium Giles was very flexible with scheduling and was able get someone to come out later in the week since my due diligence period was ending. The engineer arrived on time and answered all of my question; the final written report was also delivered when promised.

Although a little more costly than most reputable structural engineers, they were very professional. Work was complete and well-explained. We were provided with complete documentation for our construction crew to provide the appropriate repair, which involved sister joints in the crawlspace area.
