We were very happy with our purchases. Things began to fall apart with scheduling the installation. There was some confusion during the scheduling process; it took 7 days to deliver the tv and cabinet, but the installation wouldn't take place for another 7 days. After complaining to the store manager, the installation took place in an additional 3 days (10 days total from date of purchase). The two "geeks" who performed the set-up were efficient, but could not get the ipod controler to work. I would have to exchange it for another and they showed me where to plug it into the amplifier. I made the exchange immediately but the new one didn't work either, I called Geek Squad to ask them to come back, as I was beginning to supspect the problem might be with the amplifier. They would charge me another $100.00 to come back out. I complained to the Best Buy store manager and he scheduled them to come back to trouble shoot. He said if they charged me, he would credit that amount back to me. The second "geek" couldn't get the new unit to work, either. It turns out that the ipod docking station they sold us will not work with the model of older ipod we have (Nano, 3rd gen.) and the only solution is to buy a new ipod. So actually the upgraded amplifier we bought to work with the wireless docking station is useless for that purpose as well. We are currently experiencing a problem with streaming movies from Cinema Now, the Best Buy movie application on our tv (our tv locks up each time we try to stream a movie) and Geek Squad can't help us with that, either, since it's an "application problem." We were sold this "black tie support" with the idea that they would actually help us if we have problems, but that has not been the case. I give the Best Buy Store Manager, Jeff Casillas, significant credit for working with us. Otherwise, I am not impressed with Geek Squad's claims of support nor the sales person (J. DiMatteo) who sold us equipment that doesn't work with our ipod.

They never returned my money even though I cancelled the service. They kept bouncing me around between corporate headquarters and the local store, and I was never reimbursed.
