Footprints Floors of Raleigh

Footprints Floors of Raleigh did a fantastic job all around - the floors look great, they were at our house when they said they would be, they took care to protect the house while the work was being done (plastic covering almost everything), and the communication was above and beyond! Shawna was responsive to my many questions and sent progress pictures as the work unfolded. We would definitely hire them again!

We were extremely disappointed with Footprints Flooring of Raleigh. We chose to install COREtec Plus LVP (which has been on the market for about 20 years) in our living, dining and kitchen areas and down the hall leading to the bedrooms along with an upstairs landing/hallway. Shawna gave us a "shopping list" of the amount of COREtec LVP and accessory pieces they'd need to complete the job. Imagine my surprise when Amanda approached me on Day Two of the installation and told me that the crew could not get the COREtec threshold to work on the transition between the LVP and the bedroom carpeting. She had already purchased some vinyl threshold that blended with the flooring and wanted my approval. I was flabbergasted, to say the least. I'd never had an installer say they didn't know how to install something (she blamed it on the COREtec product.) I felt that I had no other choice at the time, so I went along with it. A simple Google search and a few YouTube videos later I can see how the carpeting to LVP transition should have been handled. Certainly, as professional installers, they should have been able to figure this out. They later managed to install the COREtec threshold on one of the doorways leading into a carpeted bedroom. They didn't bother to change the other two thresholds at the end of that hallway (same carpeting in all bedrooms.) Now I have mismatched doorways at the end of my downstairs hall, and they refuse to make it right. The threshold we purchased was enough for about twelve doorways; we have seven and only two have COREtec installed. According to Amanda, they "damaged some" when they were trying to "make it work." Shawna claimed that "as measured" there was only enough COREtec threshold left to do one more doorway. I took her at her word, but after they left I measured for myself and found that the remaining piece will do the other two doorways at the end of the hall, so that at least all the downstairs rooms would have matching thresholds. She refuses to come back. They did a terrible job on the base molding; joining pieces along the wall with 90 degree angles and smearing caulk all over the joints without wiping away the excess when it was still workable. Shawna claimed that was a job for the painters. She was good to work with...until there was an issue. Then she refused to apologize, take ownership or make things right.

Footprints did a fantastic job in properly preparing for the replacement flooring, then they installed it quickly and efficiently and completely cleaned up before they left. Their price was most reasonable. I will surely use Footprints again.

We are so happy with Footprint Floors! They installed vinyl plank floors and quarter round in our entire main floor plus the bathrooms and laundry room upstairs. Shawna and Amanda were incredibly helpful throughout the process, answering all of our questions and even sending us picture updates during installation. The installation crew worked very fast and even finished installation a day and a half early! You would hardly know there had been anyone working in the house with how fast they worked and how neat they left things when they left. We would definitely hire Footprint Floors again!

Footprints Floors was great to work with from start to finish! They quickly quoted our project for leveling and installing LVP in our home office, and they got us on the schedule quickly. From the first contact with Shawna and her crew to the last day of installation, communication was excellent! The hardwood floors were installed in our kitchen and family room. The LVP was installed in a bathroom. We have an older home on a sloping lot which means uneven floors. Shawna's crew worked hard to make sure that the sub-flooring was even and square. The crew's expertise ensured that no corners were cut. Their pride in their work showed and we could not be happier with the new floors! We highly recommend Shawna and her crew! Shawna and her crew were amazing. She spent a lot of time explaining the process and approximately how much time each part would take, when and for how long we needed to be out of the house and more. She did not have the lowest price but we chose her and her company because of her knowledge and professionalism. She also made some important suggestions about things she could do to make the result look more finished; this involved the choices on the shoe molding and a "picture frame" around the fireplace hearth. Her crew showed up on time and went to work quickly. Most of the new floor was in place by the end of the first day. Her crew also finished and stained three spots on the floor at the junction between the old hardwood and the new to let us see how each of the stains would look on both floors. This helped immensely in getting the correct color. The work went faster than we expected. Started on Monday and back in by Thursday noght and they moved the furniture back on Friday morning. Excellent work and I will use them again and definitely recommend them highly.

Smoothly! From my first meeting with Shawna (she knows her stuff and is a great listener) until they finished everything. Very professional crew and very clean. They had to remove 3 different types of flooring and deal with some mold. They stayed on schedule and worked around the fact that we had to work from home part of the time. Best experience with installation we’ve ever had!

It was a pleasure working with Shawna. When we first met in my home she listened to my requests and within a day or two had a reasonable quote. There was no pressure to proceed at any point. She located, ordered, and delivered the materials needed for the project at reasonable price. My installer Brett was respectful, professional, and fast. I love my new flooring!

It was excellent. They were polite, on time, and did the job efficiently.
