We knew we needed a crane to remove a very large tree near our house. We contacted Jimmy at Everett Tree and he told us that if we had the patience and waited until he had other jobs in Governors Club, our cost would be lower due to the expense of moving his crane and equipment. Because we were willing to wait, the cost was much less. He put down giant pads to protect the driveway, braced the crane on the sides of the driveway and when his crew arrived, they went to work. His workers knew just what to do and were extremely efficient, and the job was completed within two hours time. Jimmy is knows his business. He is a hard worker and very honest. It was refreshing to deal with people that cared about what they were doing. They used a blower to clean the street, and our deck, driveway and walkways were blown clear of remaining debris.
Description of Work: Removed a huge tree near our house. They, also, removed two additional trees and a large branch over our deck.

Everett called with an estimate. They were willing to add in a tree from my neighbor as they generally have a $500 minimum. I wasn't home when they came. The tree just magically disappeared. It's hard to believe how well they cleaned up. My neighbors knew something had changed but they couldn't see any traces of the tree removal. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job.

The job went very smoothly. They used a big crane and took great care not to damage my driveway, other trees and my lawn. It was very clear that they knew what they were doing in all phases of the operation. I think the job was a little more difficult than they expected, but they were more than equal to the problems they encountered. First class all the way at a better price than others quoted.
Description of Work: They removed a very large gum tree that was close to other trees and shrubs I did not want damaged and was close enough to my house to damage it if any mistakes were made.

I left a message asking for a quote on removing some stumps in our yard. Jimmy called me back and explained their process. They were able to get to us within a few days (we were not in a hurry to get these done so I told him he could do it whenever he could get to it). It was great because I didn't even have to be there while they did this. We had marked the stumps with spray paint and I came home one day to find it finished. We will definitely use them again on the many stumps we have in the back of the house. I highly recommend them.....and in fact, I did to the neighbor that backs up to our property and he said he'll probably have some done while they are out next time for ours.

Jimmy and his crew were absolutely wonderful! Came on-time this morning. Explained in detail what was going to occur to remove my 3 trees. Were VERY professional, courteous, and thorough. Best tree experience I have ever had! They got 'exceed expectations' in doing the extra things like moving birdhouses out of the way, saving me a nicely stacked pile of firewood, and sweeping up my driveway and even my neighbor's driveway. The entire crew worked hard and finished the job in less than 2 hours. Would definitely use them again and recommend to friends

Great experience. We decided to hold off through the winter so that we could see the yard at its most "bare" and make a determination on tree removal by the spring.
Description of Work: Jimmy replied to my email request same-day and drove over to give us an estimate on tree removal, approximately 14 trees. Super prompt, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He pointed out some issues that needed to be addressed in the long term and while it wasn't what I was hoping to hear, I appreciated that he gave me the opportunity to make an informed decision. He made a point of walking the property and explaining exactly where the crane would be set up, how they would remove the trees, and any areas that might be problem spots or opportunities for potential damage.

Jimmy and his team exceeded my expectations is all phases. I had a large oak tree to be removed but I wanted as little damage to my dogwoods and yard as possible. The team used a crane so that once the tree was cut, they could place it in the street to cut up. Thus I had no damage to my yard or other trees. They were in and out very quickly and did such a good job of clean-up that I did not have to do anything. The neighbors all enjoyed the show Jimmy and his team were very prompt and courteous. He seems like he genuinely appreciates the business. Best of all, once he finished the job he lowered his price from what he had quoted because the job did not take quite as long as he had estimated. I HIGHLY recommend this provider

Response from Everett Tree Service
Member, I sincerely apologize for your experience with my company. It is always in my heart to provide excellent customer service and your experience has hurt my feelings greatly. In my notes, I returned your call on the 20th, but I could have written your number down incorrectly or wrote notes in front of your information that was incorrect. Regardless, it is my responsibility to do a better job. I admit that I need much improvement in the sales portion of my company. My personal issue is that I focus so hard on customer arrive that I don't do a great job of going after new business. I want my current customer to have 100% of my attention, but doing so gives me little time for phone and estimating. I truly need a better balance and hope to accomplish that as I grow. I have called a second time and hope that I'm actually calling the correct number. I receive 20 to 40 voicemails a day this time of year, so please bear with me as I return all calls as fast as I can, between jobs and on my way home at night. Thanks again for making time to comment in Angie's List. It is good for customers to get feed back on all experiences good and bad. Sincerely, Jimmy Everett

I can't remember exactly how many crew members came to cut our trees, but I think there were maybe 6 or 8, and they showed up on a Saturday morning so they could pull their equipment into the parking lot behind our house so the job went more smoothly. For the larger trees, they would grab onto part of the tree using a large crane, and another workman would cut a piece of it off. That piece would then get lifted by crane over the fence and into a mulcher which dumped the wood chips into a trailer. At one point, they had to cut away parts of a chain link fence that one of the trees had grown into. In the meantime, other crew members trimmed back the neighbor's trees with a chain saw or cut down some of the smaller trees we were having removed. Luckily, there weren't many structures nearby to worry about hitting, but in any event the whole operation went smoothly and safely. The work in our yard took about 4 hours to complete, and they continued working on the neighbors' jobs for about another hour after that. At the end, one of the workmen came to give us our invoice, and I cut a check for the work right then. This was my second time using Everett Tree Service, and was at least the second time my next door neighbor has used them (she had a ton of trees cut down all over her yard about a year ago), so obviously we are happy with their service.
Description of Work: This is the second time I've had Everett Tree Service do work at my house. The first time I had them trim a bunch of trees that were overhanging my house back to the property line and trimmed a few others around the yard, for $700. I wasn't even home for that, but it seems to have gone fine. This most recent job was larger. They took down two very large, old trees which were covered in vines and growing into a power line, plus removed some smaller trees and cut another neighbor's trees back to the property line. At the end, we asked them to remove two new, small, weedy trees that had sprung up next to the house, which they did with no additional charge. The crew wound up doing work for both of my next door neighbors as well, who came out with their own requests when they saw the crew working in my yard.

Mr. Everett and his crew of four people took the tree down in very large sections, lowering each section carefully to the street with the crane. They had the entire tree down and cut up and hauled away in about three hours or less--his men were very efficient. There was no trace of a tree and no damage to anything when they left. I was very happy that I decided to pay a little more for the crane rather than having someone take the tree down in little pieces, felling them in a very small area that was available for receiving tree pieces, and working all day to finish the task.
Description of Work: I had a very large pine tree near the street whose roots were breaking up my driveway. I had three estimates with four different ways of taking it down. Mr. Everett convinced me that it should be taken down with a crane. I found him some other customers in my neighborhood so he gave me a $200.00 discount. Another company's estimate to take the tree down with a crane was $2,500.00.

Mr. Everett was called on Monday of this week after finding his name and company on Angie's List. When we spoke he indicated he was booked until Mid October and recommended I call a Colleague who might be able to get the job done sooner since the tree was a hazard. When I could not reach his recommended Colleague, I called him back to get on the October schedule and indicated I'd just take my chances. About thirty minutes after the agreed upon scheduling, Mr. Everett called me back and indicated he was worried about the tree and wanted to try and work us in as soon as possible. Less than three days later (but late in the day as he had already completed all scheduled jobs for that day), he was at my door with the entire crew and equipment to see if they could get to us since they were in the area and finished early. They took both trees out, cleaned up the mess, grinded both stumps, cleared the sidewalks, drivewaqy, and road, and was out of here in less than two hours. I have never seen a more efficient, well trained, professional team in my life! I highly recommend these guys for any work you need done. They are the best!!!!!
Description of Work: Mr. Everett was contracted to remove a very large old pear tree that was splitting down the middle and was positioned in front of my house on a cul de sac with risk of property damage if/when it fell. There was a second pear tree in the yard that he identified when the job was started that was also splitting and when ready to fall would hit the house and drains without question so I requested he take both trees out. (Thank goodness he saw the other one or I would have missed that altogether.)

If you have ten or more trees to be removed Jimmy Everett is your man! His crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day with a crane, chipper, stump grinder, bobcat and a very professional crew. They set up immediately and went to work removing selected trees while protecting the landscape. The use of a crane is instrumental in this protection in that nothing around the removed tree is disturbed but an area to lay down the removed tree is required, so they used half of the street on one side of the property and a field on the other side. Some minor damage to the grass on the field side did occur because of the use of a bobcat to lift the tree stumps. I considered this to be acceptable because of the amount of work involved. Cleanup was very good including the removal of existing rubbish. This amount of work required about ten hours, three loads of tree stumps cut to length and three loads of chipper mulch.
Description of Work: Removed 26 trees, trimmed dead limbs and interfering ones, removed rubbish and gave good advice.

Both Jimmy and I had busy schedules. Since I first contacted him, he called me several times to let me know how his schedule was changing and to work out a date that worked for both of us, both for the estimate and the actual work. I always felt informed about where my job was on his list. Jimmy came out to the house to give me an estimate and explained how he would do the work. He also brought up various options that would lower the cost, which i appreciated. He explained that he had a backlog of work due to recent storms, but that he would try to come by in a week. I told him that my job was not urgent and that I was ok with rescheduling if other higher priority jobs came up. When another storm came through, he called me to explain the situation and seek my approval for a slight delay. He added that he would come by on July 28, regardless of how late it got or any other jobs that might come up. He came on July 28 as promised. The birch was leaning toward the house, and constantly keeping gutters, roof and deck covered with leaves. He used a winch to pull the tree away from the house to drop it.
Description of Work: Dropped a 30 ft river birch that was within 5 ft of the house. Did not haul away (as I requested to lower the price). Ground the stump.

Sent Everett Tree Service an email first thing Saturday morning after checking Angie's List and they called me back by 8:30AM. Said they already had more than a full day because of the storm but would squeeze me in late that afternoon. They called several times through out the day to give an update with regard to arrival time. Showed up in 4 or 5 trucks and went to work. Were done in about 40 minutes and did a great job. I thought the $500 was a little pricey for the work but not considering it being a last minute call on Saturday, responding the same day, and considering the urgency of getting it off my roof. Overall a great experience and will definitely use them again and highly recommend their service.
Description of Work: In a severe thunderstorm on Friday evening I had a tree split and half of it landed on my room over my garage. It was still attached to the rest of the tree and it was about 10" in diameter. They removed the part of my tree on my roof, took all the wood, branches, and leaves with them, cleaning up after themselves.

Great experience, start to end. Jimmy did not stick around for my job, as he was busy giving estimates. That is fine with me; his crew knows what they are doing.
Description of Work: Originally, Jimmy was going to stop by on the afternoon of Aug 16 to give me an estimate. His first available date for doing work was September 19. Instead, he called me at home the afternoon of August 14, and said he already had crew & trucks just a short distance from my home. From the description I gave him over the phone of the job I wanted, he felt it was easy and could do it immediately. He showed up in a few minutes, took a look, and said they could finish in an hour, and he gave me a quote I could not refuse. They dropped seven trees, and ground up 5 stumps. I did not ask for any clean-up, or chipping, or haul-away. That is a big reason why the cost was so low. They still did some cleanup, however. The whole experience was superb. They finished in about an hour.Jimmy is getting my next tree job if his crew is available.

I called Jimmy Everett owner of Everett Tree Service after another local tree service failed to show up and perform the work that I had approved from their quote. Jimmy came out to my property and quoted the work right on the spot. I didn't have to wait 3 days for an email quote like the first tree service company. Everett's Tree Service quote was LESS than the other tree company quote and included removing additional trees. I was 2 month's behind schedule due to the first tree company failure to show and Jimmy was able to schedule my job into his already booked week. This is ABOVE and BEYOND what I had expected! The Everett Tree crew was fantastic, carefully downing several large Maple trees close to my house and taking care not to damage other plants and landscaping. The clean up was great. When I asked if I could have the woodchips for my landscaping they unhooked the truck from their huge chipper and dumped the load back in another location for me. This is first rate service from a true professional Tree Service Company!

Jimmy called and set up an appointment. He arrived promptly and was very courteous. After looking at the tree, Jimmy told me the tree was perfectly healthy and he could remove it for $500. He also said, since it was not likely to fall toward the house he did not think there was any need to remove it. I thanked him for his time and advice, and we parted friends. I will surely call him the next time I think I need tree service.

We ended up not using his company, but will in the future if we have a bigger job that needs to be done.
Description of Work: We have two fruit trees in your yard that needed removing after the storms. I called and left a message for Jimmy detailing what we needed. He returned the call within 5 minutes. He listened to what I needed and then suggested that I could save money if I went with a landscaper as they could do the job at a lower price. I love dealing with companies that keep the customers $$ in mind. We did not go with his company for these trees, but if we lose one of our larger trees, we will most definitely revisit this company.

Everett Tree Service responded to our request right away. He even postponed another job that same evening because our branch was actually on the roof and he felt that it should be removed as soon as possible. Because of the location of the tree, and the angle in which it landed on the roof, they told me that part of the gutter will most likely be torn off during the removal. The team worked quickly, professionally, AND the gutter was spared.

We had a number of very large trees that were hitting the walls and roof of our house. There was also a large tree in the front of the house we wanted taken down. Jimmy came to the house and walked us through what he thought should be done, and did a fantastic job of explaining how he would do it. Initially he quoted us $800.00, but when he asked where we heard about him and we said Angie's list, he told us he gives Angie's List clients a 10% discount and knocked $80.00 off the price. I honestly thought the job would be a lot more expensive, but he has state of the art equipment and a very efficient crew as we found out. Jimmy and his team came out, did the job in an amazing few short hours, completely cleaned up the yard after they were done, and other than the actual work they did, there was no evidence they had ever been here.I was extremely pleased with the job they did, and I will definitely be their customer whenever I need a tree service.
