I chose to use them because of the reviews on Angie’s List. I had a little more confidence in their process. Their quote was not more expensive than the others. I was pleased with their service. They came here and did the job quickly. They cleaned up well. They were not the cheapest and they were not the most expensive ones either. Their professionalism was good. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of Everett Tree Service on the 17th of November. They took down a number of trees for me in the front and the back. It was a total of 12 trees. Some were small and some were dead, but one of the trees was big.

Well, I'm a believer! Jimmy recommended that I pay by the hour, $70 per man, per hour, and he estimated that they would be done within two hours. His crew of 6 men were very professional, well equipped, worked fast and worked safely. They were done in 1.5 hours and did a great job at everything. I had marked the trees for removal with one ribbon and the trees for limbing with two ribbons on Jimmy's recommendation, and that worked out great. As they were working, I noticed a couple of other trees that needed limbing, and pointed those out. Zip, zip and they were done, too. The ground was a little soft from rain the night before, so they kept the Bobcat on the hard surfaces, but that didn't seem to slow down the removal of the trees or the limbs. The guys were careful with my property as if it were their own. I've had two other tree services work for me, and both were slow and always seemed to have equipment issues. Not Jimmy's crew. He has the right size crew to get the job done fast. They had a mega chipper and a first class stump grinder, and everyone was in constant motion from the time they stepped in the yard until they drove away. I couldn't have asked for a better job, and I wouldn't call anyone else in the future. Highly recommended!
Description of Work: Jimmy's crew cut down two good size trees (10"-12"), four large red tips, ground 8 stumps, limbed 6 other trees and cleaned up everything.

Jimmy came out and did an excellent job cutting down a massive oak tree that was dying. He has a really unique lift that gets into almost any tight spot and goes much higher than most lifts. As a result he was able to do the job cheaper than his competitors. He also did a bunch of tree stump grinding jobs at another location a few months prior to this job. Excellent pricing, timely, and jobs well done. THANKS. would highly recommend

I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Description of Work: Steve was incredibly helpful. He told me upfront the distance from his work site to my rental property may be cost prohibitive for the work I needed to have done. He then proceeded to give me references and made sure I knew to call back if I couldn't get the service I wanted or if I had any questions. He was a true professional and a pleasure to deal with...I'll keep his number close for any larger projects I may have in the future.

The men and the crane arrived on time. The crane had to get to the tree through my side yard. They dug up several of the plants that I wanted saved and laid large sheets of plastic over the area that the crane was to drive over. They were very careful to only drive on the plastic sheets. The crane was used to gently lower the cut branches and the large logs from the trunk. The Bobcat was used to haul the large logs to a central place and then to haul them out of the yard into a truck.. Concern for the safety of the men and my landscaping was very evident. I greatly appreciate all the care that was taken.
Description of Work: Company took down a very large tree in my backyard. The tree was in a hard to reach spot and the company was very careful to protect the surrounding shrubs, trees and the small creek that flows through the area. It only took them about 6 hours to completely remove the large logs and clean up. I am very satisfied with Mr Everett and his team. Many thanks!!!

Years ago, I did tree work for a living, so I knew what I was watching. This is the most professional job I've ever seen. Along with the regular tools like chain saws and chippers, the crew showed up with a bobcat loader and a really good size crane. The climber went up a tree, attached the crane hook, came down and cut the tree almost flush with the ground. The crane operator lifted the entire tree, Jimmy ran the Bobcat, grabbed the trunk to guide it, and the tree was lowered to the ground whole. The crew then went to work limbing it, the cutting the trunk into 10 or 12 foot lengths, and the bobcat loaded those onto a truck while the crew chipped the branches. It took about 10 minutes from first cut to nothing but a few chips on the ground! Yes, it did take longer for the larger trees, they had to reach from one side of the yard to the other, and the 5 biggest trees had to come down in sections. They were there from about 8 AM to approx 5:30 PM, whenever it started to get dark. I had spoken to Jimmy last year, he said to get the most for my money, wait until winter, he was not as busy, and the men can work more quickly without all the leaves on the trees. They were basically working by the hour, I could have gone with less trees removed had I wanted to save some money. Another big plus is Everett tree service has full liability insurance and workers comp insurance, so if anything had gone wrong (which it didn't) my homeowner's insurance would not be affected. Without those, if the your property gets damaged or one of the workers gets hurt, it falls on YOUR insurance. But that is not the case with Everett. By the way, I got 2 estimates last summer, one from another highly rated tree service on Angie's List, and one from a couple of guys with a chain saw and a pickup. Those ran $2000-$2600 for only about 1/3 of the trees. At the end of the day, there were 5 or 6 stumps left, Jimmy said they should have finished them, so one of his men came back Saturday morning to finish, no charge. I can't say enough good about this company. Our yard was so shaded, grass wouldn't grow, and we had problems with mold on the house. Even though the trees are bare right now, I can tell our yard will be much sunnier, by next year I'm looking forward to enjoying the back yard, thanks to Jimmy and his crew. And just to reiterate, all in one day!
Description of Work: 32 trees removed from .4 acre. Mostly oak, a few pine and other types, 1 oak was quite large, most of the others were medium to large. Also ground all the stumps.

A lot better than I could have hoped. The tree's roots had been slowly cracking the cement patio behind my home so it had to be taken down as soon as possible. The Everett team arrived at 08:00 as promised and began the necessary preparation work to remove the tree almost immediately. They then proceeded to dismantle it in under an hour and managed to leave little trace of their handwork aside from a few barely noticeable patches of sawdust. Due to the location of the stump, it would have been next to impossible to grind it down without damaging the landscaping, so I opted to not have this portion of the work done. The owner then subtracted the cost of the stump grinding from the total, even though I gladly offered to pay the quoted price of $700. Overall I was very impressed by the quality of the work and the friendliness and professionalism of the crew. I will gladly recommend their services to anyone in the future.
Description of Work: Removed a tree from my backyard and removed all branches and other leftovers from the tree. The stump was sawed down to within 3-4 inches of the ground.

Overall they did a fabulous job! They bid the job in the morning and finished it that afternoon (they happened to be working in the area already that day). Mr. Everett was professional, responsive, and friendly. His workers were efficient, professional, and did a fabulous job. The price was extremely good for the services performed, below the other estimates, and included all the work and then some.
Description of Work: They removed a very tall, dead poplar tree and removed dead branches that were encroaching on the house from seven different trees. All wood and debris were removed at the end of the job.

Jimmy came over to give me the estimate within a few days. He gave me several options at different price points and made recommendations. We made an appointment for the work and he came on time. The trees were taken down and only a couple of limbs off neighboring small trees were lost. Excellent job. I have used him before and would call him again.

They went over to my house while I was at work and walked me through their estimate over the phone. We scheduled a date for them to do the work, and it was done. When they finished, my husband paid them. The yard looks much better now, and I have peace of mind knowing there aren't tree branches scraping across my roof or banging into my chimney.
Description of Work: Branches hanging 12' or less over my roof were trimmed back to the trunk. Some trimming was done around the periphery of the yard. A small cherry tree was cut down.

His name is Jimmy Everett. I just called him for some pruning and he is going to come over and give me an estimate. I loved him and am happy to have him for our person that we have replaced. I was very satisfied with his work. He was very professional and went above and beyond. He said that he normally charges a certain amount for an estimate but he didn't want to do that because it was such a small job so he just took care of it while he was here to look at it. I was satisfied with his work and he cleaned up and didn't leave any work for me. I was very satisfied with his price.
Description of Work: We needed tree work done and we couldn't get hold of our former tree person so we called Everett Tree Service. We had a small tree or bush die and he also cut off some limbs on an oak tree in the front.

I chose Everett Tree Service for three reasons. First was the extremly high rating on Angies List along with the very high number of reports. Second was that I was looking to remove one tree in particular because it was precariously hanging over the roof of my house and I was risking severe damage. Because of the location, I was expecting this to cost me about $3000 or more just for the single tree. And third, Jim Everett is very personable and easy to work with. When he came out to look at what was involved, he explained that they would bring in a crane to assist in the removal of these trees and that the crane would start at $2000. There was a second tree that would have to be removed in order for them to be able to use the crane to get at the tree I wanted removed. So, he indicated that since the crane would be there, that I should make up a wish list, since bringing out the crane a second time would cost the minimum of $2000. So I added three more trees that were up near the house. The cost of these extra tress was only an extra $400. Then there were some additional limbs and one tree that he added in the rear of the house for an additional $300. They arrived at about 8:30AM about 15 to 20 minutes late, due to difficulty finding a road that would permit them to move a heavy crane to my home without damage to the roadways. Once there, they immediately setup and started removing the trees, with the one overhanging my home being the last of the large trees removed. It was an interesting process to watch. As the trees were cut up into large sections, they were lowered down to the driveway where they were cut up into smaller sections and then loaded into a truck and hauled away and donated to "Warmth for Wake". Once all the wood was removed, they then cleaned up the driveway, my back deck, and even the roof using leaf blowers to remove the leaves small branches, that had fallen. Overall I was very pleased with the experience.
Description of Work: Everett came and removed five large trees and several small ones, using a heavy crane. This took the better part of about five hours. They arrrived at about 8:30AM and were finished and gone by about 1:00PM.

After receiving HOA approval I called Jimmy Everett on a Thursday afternoon, and he was able to fit us into his schedule the very next Monday despite his calender being booked out until December. I felt very comfortable having Jimmy come out without an estimate as we used his services last year. The previous service went so well even though it was a very difficult job requiring a crane to take trees down adjacent a power line. When I told him about the trees and their locations, he said it would take about 2-3 hours and that it should not cost more than $1000. He informed me that he would be able to arrive after a job that he was doing nearby. He said he would call me at home and work about an hour before he would arrive. He did just that and arrived exactly when he said he would. After he assessed the job, his crew of four to five men arrived and promptly started to work. Many of the trees were located within landscaped areas, and Jimmy's crew used ropes to safely take down the trees without causing any issues to the landscaping. After the second tree was taken down, the sky opened up and it started to pour. I was very concerned that he would have to postpone the work. However, he and his crew continued to work and finished the entire job. We are extremely happy with the job and would recommend Everett Tree Service to everyone. Do not be afraid to have Jimmy work on an hourly rate. His crew is very efficient and the cost is surprisingly low.
Description of Work: Took down 8 trees in and around a highly landscaped area. The crew chipped all the tree material that could not be used for firewood for a local charity. He also hauled the larger tree trunks.

They arrived on the agreed upon date. They were a bit late but called the night before to explain that they had an emergency to take care of. They arrived with a Crane, a Bobcat, and about 8 workers to remove the trees. It was great to watch. They were very efficient at their jobs. They set up the crane, cut down the trees, cut them up into sections, loaded the logs onto a trailer, chipped all the limbs in a very large wood chipper, ground all the stumps, then cleaned up all of the yard when they were done. They accomplished all of this in about 3 1/2 hours. They did not damage the house in any way nor the yard. Great job.

Jimmy, the owner was great. He said he would be on site for the actual work, and he was, the entire time. I was apprehensive because they used a 40 ton crane to pull the trees out by the roots and lift them over my house. I thought my concrete driveway might be damaged in the process. Jimmy took precautions, though, and placed six sheets of plywood under each outrigger (the platforms that help stabilize the crane). No damage whatsoever. Also, I have a lot of landscaping including a palm tree and a somewhat fragile dogwood tree that were in the path of the leyland cypress as they were being removed. Not a single branch or plant was damaged. Fantastic job.

I started by asking for estimates of what I thought were four of the best tree removal services on Angie"s list. All four of them were competitive with one another as far as price goes, but Jimmy of Everett Tree Service impressed us right from the beginning with his enthusiasm and attitude. He wants your business and is always willing to work with you. His mantra is "please the customer!!" He responded quickly to my request for an estimate, I was always able to contact him or he very quickly returned my calls. I never had to wait days for a returned call or make multiple attempts to speak with him. He was able to accommodate our schedule and was very prompt . On the day of the scheduled removal, his crew arrived exactly as scheduled, in a convoy, with all of their equipment. There was a crew of about eight, a huge crane, a Bobcat, stump grinder, very large wood chipper, a ?bucket lift? and several trucks and trailers. The entire crew was very courteous and professional. They were very attentive to all of our concerns. They were very careful not to do damage to our yard, irrigation system and septic field, even though it was necessary to move large equipment throughout the area. The huge crane that was necessary to lift the large trees was parked very precisely in our driveway and was done with such care that there was no damage to the concrete or adjoining irrigation ? despite lifting multiple tons of trees. Jimmy was on site the entire time and was very responsive to all of our concerns. As the job progressed, we made some amendments to our original plan and he was very fair with his additional charges. Several things were done at no additional charge in the spirit of customer satisfaction. Cleanup was very thorough and efficient. Much of it was done as the job progressed and respected our neighborhood and our neighbor?s property. Our yard may even look better than when they started. There is no doubt that I will use these guys again. Jimmy Everett is my tree guy!!
Description of Work: Removal of at least nine trees, plus also removed several very large branches (as big as some trees), raised the "drip line" on about six trees along the street and trimmed back branches that were hanging over our house. Additionally, they ground down all stumps and very thoroughly cleaned up and removed all debris. Offered us any amount of resulting mulch that we wanted and placed it where we requested. At least four of the trees "towered" over our two-story house and were very close to the house. One was an oak which had our deck built around it. That tree was probably at least 40 feet tall and within ten feet of our house. Another was a pine that was probably about 50 feet tall. A third was already leaning toward our house, stood within 5 feet of the house and was probably about 35 feet tall. A fourth tree was probably about 30 feet tall. All the rest were smaller, but at least 20 feet tall.
