Everything went great. I can't recommend Earl enough!

He offered these two options to my mother who was in her early 70's at the time. I was living at my mother's home but traveling for work when Earl had been hired. Upon my return I realized that Earl was following option two which my mother opted for due to the cost of option one, $1200.00 versus $5000.00-Not a difficult choice. Upon hearing this I contacted Earl to have him explain this substantial difference in costs. He told me that that option one required much more work than option two. When I asked for more details and why it would cost 4 times as much he couldn't explain why. I then told him we no longer required his services and stated that I believed he over inflated option one so that my mother would select option two by virtue of the difference in costs . I told him that I would be getting more estimates and that if those new estimates came in close to his, I would call and apologize to him. Otherwise I suggested to him that he was taking advantage of my mother and her lack of expertise in this arena.

We contacted Cantor electric and we were shocked at the bids that were submitted. Shocked in a good way. Earls estimate of $5000.00 came in at $1600.00 from Cantor and his $1200.00 estimate was $650.00 from Cantor.

Needless to say, we hired Cantor and did not call Earl back. Just another example of a someone exploiting another persons lack of expertise. By the way, he referred to us by the utility company as a and quot;good christian manand quot; Go figure.

See above! I would definitely use Earl again, and would highly recommend him.

Fast, efficient, and hospitable.

Mr. Winstead and his son arrived on time and got right to work. They quickly diagnosed the electrical issue in my guest bathroom. Once they replaced the light switch they were able to reinstall the electrical box and hang the light. After completing the guest bathroom they moved on to the master bathroom where they separated and relocated the electrical boxes for the lights. They then hung the two new lights and cleaned up. I was so pleased with the work Mr. Winstead and his son completed I went next door to my neighbor's house who I knew needed some electrical work done and offered Mr. Winstead's services.

Upon completion of my two bathrooms, Mr. Winstead and his son went next door and provided my neighbor with an estimate. I later was told the estimate was so good she agreed to the work being done on the spot. Latter that evening my neighbor came over and thanked me for recommending Mr. Winstead and his son. She informed me she will call upon him again.

I highly recommend Earl Winstead Electric. Try them, you will not be disappointed.

Earl and his son are the best! Period! They work hard, are honest, well priced and a delight to have in your home.

Earl and his son were very honest, experienced, and knowledgeable electricians, which was just what I was looking for to address my concerns about prior work we had done by a different company. They definitely knew what they were doing, and I had no doubts that they would do their best to inspect the electrical meter box and fix any issues they possibly could. As it turned out, they found and fixed some issues, and I feel better about the whole situation.

Earl Winstead and his son showed up promptly at the appointed time to install two new outlets in a brick wall. I had envisioned a surface mount but Earl suggested mounting the outlets in the brick and I’m certainly glad I went along with his suggestion as it looks so much better. He quoted me a price before he began that was quite reasonable. The work involved cutting into the brick in two places and running wire to a junction beneath the house. While working under the house he discovered a problem with exixting wiring requiring him to install an additional junction box. When he presented the bill, he had not charged for the additional work and stuck by his original quote. Very professional and courteous. I will use him again.

As always, with Earl and his son, it was a great experience. They are hard workers. They are honest and are very caring of the folks who have hired them. He remembered a detail that I had told him over a year ago about one of my kids. How much better does it get-great work, great work ethic and two wonderful men.

Called Earl's office to set up an estimate. He called me back that evening, I described the job to him and he told me right away it would be between $200 and $250. That was a great price, compared to other estimates I'd gotten and I liked his Angie's List reviews, so I set up an appointment right then. Showed up promptly at 8am just as scheduled. Worked quickly and efficiently with partner. I'm pleased with the price and the quality of the work. All in all it took them about 2 hours. Earl also gave me some advice about dealing with the aluminum wiring in our home and bringing the sockets up to code.

He first came out and gave me a more than reasonable estimate. He stuck to that and finished the work in a timely manner. He did the work perfectly. He even solved a tricky problem on how to light the backyard while also installing the motion lights. Earl and his son are the absolutely kindest, caring working people I have ever had in my home. They are the best!!!!

I called Earl Winstead Electric after two failed attempts calling two other electrical companies on Angie s List. The first company stated they were now working part-time and I would be better off calling someone else from Angie s List. The second company I called informed me it would be at least 2 weeks before they could provide service. I then called Earl who scheduled an appointment within 3 days. Earl and his son were prompt with their appointment. They were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to hire or recommend them to anyone.

Mr. Winstead was willing to schedule the appointment for an estimate after normal business hours so I could also be home. He arrived on time, spent just a short time looking over each job, then wrote a detailed estimate. We were pleased with his prices. My husband and I weren't sure if we wanted to do all items on the list at one time, and Mr. Winstead suggested we think it over and call him. I called the next day to give him the go ahead to do the majority of the work, and he called back shortly giving me an 8 a.m. appt for a few days ahead. Today, he and his son arrived promptly, worked most of the day on the jobs he had estimated for us, completed those and then my husband had them add a few more outlets and receptacles for convenience. They charged us a fair price for the additional work, and a great price for all the jobs. We would highly recommend Mr. Winstead and will definitely call only him in the future for other electrical projects that we may have.

This is a father/son team who work well together. They're very polite and professional, clean up their mess, and are very prompt. They return all phone calls and are true to their estimates. I would highly recommend them.

Earl was very responsive in setting up the appointment and was able to accommodate and reschedule a late cancellation by us. He and his son are both licensed electricians that are professional, hard-working, punctual, and friendly. They said they would be here at 8:00 a.m. and they arrived at 7:55 a.m. Then they proceeded to work straight through to 1:00 p.m., when the job was done. You will find them very conscientious, thinking through the best way to do steps in a project.

This is a father and son team. Mr. Winstead return our call right away. He showed up as promised, diagnosed the issue and followed up through. During all this process he kept us informed on the work he was doing at the meter as well as when he was labeling the circuit breaker. We are very happy with the job they did and will definitely hire Mr. Winstead again, should we have any problem with electricity in our house.

They did an outstanding job. They did not leave any mess behind and they were pretty quick. The fans work great, I have not had any kind of problems with them and this is a company that I would definitely recommend to other people. I would rather not disclose the price, but it was a very good deal.

He does everything to code and does a great job with it. I am very impressed with the work of the company and I would recommend them to anyone. The guy that comes is very professional and works very hard. I would recommend him to anyone. The prices are reasonable as well.

They did an excellent job. They were here on time and finished the job before they left. They always do great work. I was very happy with the service. Most of the cost was covered by our insurance. I would recommend their services to other people.

We have used Earl for service many times in the past. We will not call anyone else for electrical work in our home. He just does fine work that is always perfect. In fact, I have recommend him to many people. His prices vary by job and are quite reasonable but I do not remember what I paid him the last time he was out.

I have already referred them to several people and I think they do excellent work. They did exactly what I wanted and I am very happy. I used a contractor to do some other building work on my house so he subcontracted with them to do the porch. The price was included in what I paid the general contractor.
