DNJ Gateway Bank Mortgage

Easily the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The broker, Cari DeCandia, was completely MIA during my refi and when I did manage to speak with her, she was clueless. Ended up having to call principal Chris Corchiani, who basically told me I was stupid and didn't understand the mortgage loan process. They did finally refund my fees paid after I threatened to report them to the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself some serious heartache and avoid DNJ like the plague.

The experience was great. I didn't have the best credit score and was looking to purchase a home a little below 200K. Dan Stanton found a mortgage with a low interest rate and I signed application papers. Before it was too late in our short closing timeframe, he kept searching and luckily happened to find an available mortgage with an even lower (very low) rate, which is even more competitive with rates people with high credit scores could obtain. I appreciated his diligence in saving me a chunk of money on my monthly bills.

Sherry was able to keep me in the loop about rates. This company was the only one that I looked at that didn't require an upfront cost. She got me the best rate and took care of everything I needed for this transaction. What I experienced from her was great service and I felt as if I could depend on her for everything with this transaction. The only problem I experienced was the paperwork they handed me had a lot of errors that I was not happy about. They reassured me that it didn't need to be changed since there was another copy drawn up. But I insisted because I felt it was unacceptable to sign off on something that had that many errors on it. They granted my request. I would recommend this company and we will look into them again in the future.
