Custom Heating & Air

My Heating system stopped working Saturday morning. Since Custom Air installed the system & I had a 1 year full warranty on my new house, I called their hot line. To my shock, I was told by the tech who answered the phone, that they only do "warranty work" during regular business hours (Monday thru Friday). He added that they would need to charge me $200 + parts if they made a service call on the weekend. Ridiculous!!! Be guarded against signing up for a Maintenance Contract or working with them at call. Harv

On time.  Called when 10 minutes from arrival.  Efficient; good explanation of issues. Professional

Bruce, the technician, arrived on time and was very personable.  He was very neat and considerate of my furnishings and floors.  During the inspection, he confirmed that I needed a vent cut into the water heater closet to allow gasses to escape.  He willingly took photos and provided a description of what was needed, for me to send to my builder for correction.  He also checked with his boss to see if the lack of a vent was Custom Air's oversight during construction of my home.  It was an oversight on the part of my builder, who remedied the problem within two weeks.  I appreciated the extra effort Bruce took to take care of a potentially dangerous situation.  I will recommend Custom Air, especially Bruce, to anyone who needs their HVAC and water heater systems maintained.

Temp upstairs was running 88 degrees. Called Custom Air. The came out, on time, and evaluated the problem. Had the fix available and repaired within 45 mins. I reccomended them to another friend 2 days later with same results.

Placed call to Custom Air as soon as we determined the upstairs was heating up.  They agreed to send tech by the end of the day.  He arrived around 3:45, checked the outside unit, then went up to the attic to check refrigerant pressure.  Didn't have enough refrigerant left on truck so went back to company for more, returned, and refilled as needed.  The tech was friendly, professional and helpful.  I have used Custom Air over the past 4 years to handle problems, and been very satisfied with their service.

They do a great job. They could have told me to replace my A/C unit and I would have done it, but instead they were able to fix it with an inexpensive part. The compositor had gone out, the service man actually cooled it down with our garden hose and waited around for it to restart.

I've used this company before. They are very honest, timely and effective in repairing the air conditioner. He replaced a capacitor in the electrical system and could have easily talked me into replacing the condenser (very expensive). Instead, he indicated it may simply need to cool down to allow the condenser to reactivate. He used my garden hose in the 100 degree heat to cool down the unit and it restarted. I was expecting a very expensive repair. Now I'm sitting in my very cool home office and only needed to pay $136. You can trust these guys.

This company was OK. They met their deadline and did their job very well. My biggest issues were the charges I didn't anticipate. Had I known, I would have probably would have went with someone else. They were my top 2 companies that were competitive, but if I had known what I was going to incur down the road as the work was being done, I would have went with a different manufacturer to avoid the charges.
