"[Member Name Removed] - we so enjoyed meeting and working with you both! It's gratifying to design art glass around the grills in your insulated sidelights and transom and know from your reaction as soon as it's installed that it was the perfect solution. Thanks so much for your recommendation!"
"[Member Name Removed], We enjoyed working with you and are so pleased that your custom front entry and art glass complemented your home. Thank you for your kind words!"
The installer, Rocco, was great - very efficient and didn't leave any mess.
I'm very happy with my entire experience with CG&D and highly recommend them.
Thank you!
"[member name removed]- thank you so much for your kind feedback! I will pass your note on to our hard working and "friendly" staff. We enjoyed working with you as well!"
"Hey [member name removed], So glad that the odd shapes of the glass fit your cabinet perfectly! Thank you for your kind feedback - I will be sure and pass your note to our team. Please let us know if we can help with future glass needs!"
I wanted to change out the brass custom glass on our transom and side lights to update it a bit. I met with Trip on Jan 26 and all was great. He gave some great design ideas and explained the process. I signed the contract and gave him 50% deposit. Within 2 weeks an installer came and measured for the glass. Then he had to come back again within a week as apparently they needed more measurements or something. They had said 6-8 weeks for installation. On 3/12 I approved the final design and was told installation would be around 4/21 as apparently the 6-8 weeks is after you approve design (I was never told that). I sent a note on 4/11 and asked for an update. Apparently the glass had been backordered and Lisa would let me know of a new installation date. I heard nothing...I followed up with a note on 4/24 with Lisa. Again I was told they were backlogged and she would let me know of a new date. I heard nothing. On 5/4 I sent another note and got a little short with them asking what the deal was. It had been 4 months since I wrote the check and I had nothing done yet. Trip called and was really nice - wanted to come out and measure. What?? He had already had someone measure twice! He came out on 5/5 and took another template. Apparently our front door was installed backwards and the transom had some manual adjustments done to it so he wanted to verify the template. Why he didn't come out sooner, I have no idea. He said it would be ready in 2 weeks. I sent a note after 2 weeks as I had heard nothing (reoccurring theme...I had to keep following up with them!). Installation began the next week. The outside clear glass was done by a contractor, and was put in great. I am not pleased with the installation of the leaded glass which was put in by Trip himself.. A piece of the leaded tape they used on the inside came off within a week. There is a smudge right at eye level that was not cleaned off before they installed so there is no way to clean it now. Trip came and put silicon on the piece that had come off and said this is only the 2nd house he has ever had this happen to. Regarding the smudge he first went in to a talk about how standards say you stand back so many feet from the glass and if it looks ok, it's good. I don't care what standards are! He did offer to remove and reinstall the side light to clean the smudge but at this point I just want them out of my house. I've had to take off work way too much for this installation. I would not use them again. The leaded glasswork is really good, but the process of having to always follow up and the fact it took almost 5 months was just not a good experience.
"[Member's name removed]- Thank you for the wonderful feedback. You and [Member's name removed] were a wonderful couple to work with, and it's great to hear that your art glass doors fulfilled your expectations! Thanks also for the great pictures! It can be challenging to work over long distances, so it is especially gratifying when our long distance customers are so pleased with the end result! Our creative team looks forward to the next opportunity to work with you to create a beautiful art glass window!"
