Before they came, I had made several specific requests to speed up the moving process (like leaving dresser drawers packed). The things I packed prior to their arrival I was told were too heavy for them, yet the things they packed I couldn't even lift. They were very rough with my furniture and I thought it was going to come through the ceiling; they smashed and ruined several other items, too. They made fun of my furniture. They drank bottled water (which I offered) and put the empty bottles back in the case so that I wouldn't notice. They were very inefficient in their packing and created a lot more work for themselves. They labeled everything in Spanglish so neither of us were able to locate the boxes when I needed to find things. There were other boxes left unlabeled and in the wrong rooms. They used my bedding and clothes to wrap up my things, damaging both the item and my clothes. Their was a small TV that was on their list of items to move, but the foreman was making such a big stink about it that I ended up moving it myself. They even asked me to go get lunch for them!
Upon completion of the move, I was asked to sign a paper saying that there was no damage to my home, without even doing a walk through. When I pointed this out, the worker told me "Well, there are no holes in the walls!" I was also asked to sign a blank form that was supposed to dictate how much I was going to pay them. I said I wasn't going to sign it and he argued with me and demanded that I do. I had a "do not exceed" amount that I wanted to pay and it was agreed upon that I would pay no more than this price (that was quoted to me 2 weeks beforehand) because I moved a lot of the small stuff myself. When I complained to the company the next day, they would not even call me back. It was their own fault for using extra packing materials and doing extra work that incurred these charges. They used expensive boxes when they didn't need to and wrapped non-breakable things in 4 sheets of paper.
The drawers that they emptied (after I asked them not to) contained my underwear and other clothes. All of my clothes were emptied out and jumbled together (yes, they went through my underwear drawers), but my desk drawers we not emptied and moved as-is on their side.
When I tried to issue a complaint to the company, I got four different answers as to how long I had to file a complaint (1 week, 1 month, 9 months, but in reality it was 90 days). I was afraid to complain too much so that they did not keep my belongings or cause further problems.
It was just one problem after another and I am so disappointed in their service. When I did complain, they did not offer to knock anything off the price, but just not to charge me more than my "not to exceed " price, which was agreed upon beforehand.
