They arrived promptly, right on time to test for mold in our apartment ac unit, and fit us in, schedule wise on short notice. They were extremely thorough, checking each and every inch of the apartment for possible exposure. Bill took the time to explain the procedure and when the results were returned, he took the time to thoroughly explain the results, as well as answer the questions I had regarding the report. I will definately hire this company if the need ever again arises. Very pleased. May I also add that the company that did the remediation was also pleased with the report from Bill.

I fell completely ripped off. First of all this guy forgot to send in the samples he came and got. We had to call him weeks later to inquire only to have to remind him who we were. (1000.00 yeah) then when they came back to test again they drilled holes in my bedroom ceiling, the repair was black electrical tape yeah, on my ceiling. Never heard back from them again. Still do not have the results. Total scam.

I hired Certified Indoor Air when my dad became very ill a few months after water damage occurred in his rental apartment. The level of knowledge and expertise was invaluable!! I followed their recommendation for the DNA testing and the result came back that the place was unlivable! My dad was saved by getting him out of there and an unsuspecting new resident was saved from becoming ill. The Stare of NC Real Estate Commission used these results to shut down the apartment and move out two other residents. The work done by Certified Indoor Air saved lives! I highlyrecommend them and suggest that you follow their suggestions to get the best results. For me, it made all the difference in the world! I am forever thankful.

I posted regarding Mr. Dolch before and it has appeared to be removed. This man is a scam and a con. He up charged me, tried to charge me for services I did not need, and then when was questioned, he lied about it all. Use this man and his son at your own risk.

The owner and staff were VERY professional. The owner went above the call of duty to explain everything and to review the report in detail. He also provided information on some at home, affordable things we could do to improve air quality. If I have the opportunity to refer anyone to this company, I surely will do so!!!

I hired Certified Indoor Air because I was cleaning out a closet and found mold in the floor and going up the baseboards of the closet. They came, and were here for three hours doing the inspection. They were so amazing in the detail of their work. They climbed up into the attic, as well as checking the original place in the bedroom where the mold was discovered. When they went into the attic, they took pictures of everything they found. They found leaks in the roof, mold in the attic, mold damaging the internal ceiling, a crushed area of the air flow of the air conditioning vents and ducts that were needing repair work. They documented all of it with pictures, and took 8 samples of mold in the areas found, They also took air samples. They found mold in very high concentrations when the reports came back two days later. The air samples revealed very unhealthy air and the molds were toxic levels, but not black mold. However, the mold was a mold that was still toxic with Mycotoxins. The reports were very detailed, with explanations broken down. They took time to talk to me on the phone about the lab results. (As they came an hour away from the Raleigh area) down to Pinehurst. The final report on the condition of the house included so many revealing problems that needed attention, broken connections in the water drainage off the roof, the attic had need of total replacement of the insulation (had not had any attention in 12 years), the vents and ducts and carpet needed replacement. The house had been without any inspections for 12 1/2 years, and so, when he did the inspection, he fortunately spent the attention and time to look at everything that was damaging the house. I was so grateful, as I have very serious medical problems, and my cat also had started to develop a lot of wheezing, biting her skin and scratching...all signs of exposure to toxic levels of mold. The reports they completed were filled with pictures, with a lot of detail and very accurate representation of all they found. I had wanted to buy this house in 2 years....so this gave me a clear picture of the real condition of the house, and all the repairs that it was in serious need of. They were outstanding, accurate, courteous, professional and thorough. Took the time on the phone to talk to them as many times as I needed to. Also was willing to talk to the landlords, and anyone I needed them to also explain their findings too. They were excellent....totally excellent!

They were very nice to work with and prompt too. They took 31/2 hours to do the house and crawl space. It's a father son team. Very pleasant.

I have not received the the results report yet, but expect to hear from them within the next business day. They were very prompt and professional when they came to do the inspection.

The cost of this service is based on how many samples are submitted for testing. We had agreed in advance to 3 air samples, they took about 8 in all and then tried to upsell the extra tests - at $100 each. They take samples, send samples off to labs. He stated at one point that he's not a scientist, but threw a lot of scientific mambo jumbo into the conversation. To avoid any further attempts at upselling, I had a third party (actual environmental scientists) interpret the test results. Nice guys, yes. Thorough, yes. Fast turn around, yes. But value for the money, no. Salesmen, not scientists...

Bill and Dave, the owners, took a fair amount of time to explain the process of the IAQ testing. I had the VOC testing done which took a few hours. During this time, Dave went through other areas of my home inspecting it and sampling air and dust. He went into every area, and left no room uninspected. Dave was courteous, and professional. Always answering questions. I felt safe knowing my home was being so well cared for. I would definitely recommend Certified Indoor Air when you have the need of doing this kind of testing.

Bill was very kind and welcoming. He was available and answered all my questions. We never felt pressured to do more testing than needed. Quick turn around.
