Arrangements for euthanasia and cremation were made on an emergency basis through Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospital and the price included all services involved, I do not recall the specific price of the cremation. All services provided were excellent. Carolina Pet Cremation provided excellent service and was extremely compassionate and responsive when contacted by phone.

The cremation of our pet was completed in a professional manner. Her remains were returned in a high quality wooden box that surprisingly provided comfort. We also received a plaster paw print that was placed in a lovely keepsake bag with a comforting poem.

My elderly, sick dog was being evaluated/treated at a veterinary hospital which was 100 miles from my residence, because of the serious nature of his health condition. When my dog was diagnosed with cancer, on top of his other health problems, I had to depend on the internet and phone calls to quickly select a reliable pet cremation service that I felt would be respectful of my pet throughout the cremation process and of my emotions at this stressful time. Carolina Pet Cremations had a website that compassionately described everything I wanted to know about the professionalism of the staff and the details/cost of their services. The other websites I reviewed were very commercialized, the telephone recorded messages were impersonal, and there were additional charges for pick up of the pet and for the type of urn for the pet's ashes that would be comparable to that supplied at no additional charge by Carolina Pet Cremations. Steve, the business owner at Carolina Pet Cremations, had promptly returned my phone call to him. I told him the date and time that I needed him to meet me at the veterinary hospital and he agreed to come to pick up my pet for cremation -- the scheduled time was after 5 p.m. but there was no charge for the pick up service. Steve's telephone manner was comforting -- he was patient and spoke with empathy in his voice when answering my questions -- he did not make me feel like I was merely conducting a "business arrangement." At the veterinary hospital, Steve had arrived on time and he compassionately lifted my pet onto his stretcher and took my dog to his car where he draped a black cloth over the animal. Steve treated my pet with dignity -- the veterinary hospital staff had merely offered to put my pet in a black plastic bag for transport. I knew my pet was in good hands with Steve and I could let my dog out of my sight for the last time. When I went to Carolina Pet Cremations business location to pick up my pet's ashes, I was impressed with the quality of the facility; and I was comforted by Steve's extra acts of kindness when I received a complimentary plaster cast of my pet's paw print and Steve's signed certificate of cremation. I could have been present during the cremation; but I was completely satisfied that Steve, having voluntarily become certified as a Crematory Operator, would take care of my pet just as if my dog had belonged to and had been loved by him. All deaths are hard to deal with; and when a business person truly makes that situation easier for those who are grieving, recognition is rightfully deserved.
Response from Carolina Pet Cremation
"Thank you for those kind words. I get a lot of satisfaction knowing that I have helped my clients through a difficult time. I hope this year goes well for you Steve"
