Caravan Rugs Cleaning

Caravan came to measure and give me quotes for all area rugs. They priced pads for rugs that had none. I asked them about rugs with damaged fringe, and decided it wasn't something I was ready to deal with yet. Rugs were cleaned well and replaced on floors, including pad under two of them. Also had two rooms of carpeting cleaned. Estimates and work were handled professionally.

I hired Caravan Rugs to clean 4 oriental carpets, and I specifically requested an odor-free cleaning process (both in conversation and by email). Jason was very courteous and prompt in picking up the rugs, but the result was very poor. It was supposed to take 2 weeks, but it took 6 weeks, and when my carpets were returned they had an unmistakable odor like a cheap shampoo. I tried to live with it, kept the windows opened and the air running for days, but the odor is deep in the carpets. Any object that comes in contact with the carpets -- or ourselves if we sit on them -- ends up stinking like perfume. I contacted Jason by email and spoke with him on the phone, and he continued to insist that he did use an an odor-free process on my carpets, and refused to adjust the price in any way. Obviously, I am going to have to have my carpets cleaned again by another company that really does understand the concept of fragrance-free cleaning. I was ripped off and treated disrespectfully. I do not recommend this company at all, unless you enjoy the smell of cheap perfume in your home.

Had two couches, a chair, and an ottoman cleaned; they did a fabulous job--thorough and attentive to the work. Also had two rugs cleaned (one hand-knotted, one Karastan), and I was so impressed that I gave them two more large rugs to clean. Jason, the owner, is friendly and professional, and the men who did the upholstery cleaning were equally so. Overall, very pleased.

Jason was terrific! I had 3 rugs that had been in storage for 5+ years. Jason was very prompt, courteous, and the rugs look brand new! I am thrilled with how they turned out.

Jason has an expert repairer who re-sewed the fringe onto the ends of the rug and fixed it with a strong thread so it won't fray anymore. He also added a fabric tab on the back so I can display the rug on a wall. I didn't know that was an option. The rug was also cleaned.

I scheduled a pickup with them and they came on time (round trip delivery fee of $45). They let me know an estimate on the charges, how long to expect for the rugs to be done and ready for return delivery. They sent an invoice via email confirming the costs (consistent with the estimate). They scheduled an appointment to bring the rugs back, and again were on time. I appreciated their willingness to help in placing the larger rug back in a 2nd floor bedroom under some heavy furniture. They were very friendly and organized, and gave me some helpful information about the kind of rugs I had.

Caravan Carpet Cleaning provided excellent service for cleaning a 10' X 14' Karastan wool rug. Prior to choosing a company to clean the rug, I did research for the proper way to have a wool area rug cleaned. When I called Jason took time to explain every detail about how they clean area rugs, he gave me a cost for cleaning, and worked with my schedule to pick up the rug. When he arrived to pick up the rug, he helped me to choose a rug pad which would keep the rug in place. I had tried numerous types of rug pads and none had worked. He even gave me a small sample of the pad so I could think it over before making the purchase. Again he explained the cleaning and drying process. The rug was ready for return delivery in one week but I was traveling so they stored the rug for two weeks until my return. When the rug was delivered it looked better than the day I purchased it. The rug was also very soft feeling. I purchased the rug pad which Jason had suggested and have had no problems with rug movement. I could not be happier. The rug cleaning cost was $395, the one-time trip charge was $15, the new pad purchase was $280 and as a member of Angie's List I received a discount of $40 off the total which brought my total payment to $650.00 which was reasonable for what I received and the excellent service.

I have used them in the past and their recent job show what I called them again. The job was a commerical building and they did a wonderful job. The light colored carpet had some challenging stains to remove and they were able to get everyone out. 

They arrived promptly on August 25th to pick up the rugs. They measured the rugs and took great care getting them in their van without bending them. I was having my hardwoods redone at this same time and Caravan was very accommodating when I changed the drop off date to make sure my hardwoods ready. When they brought the rugs back, they moved my furniture to put them where they needed to be. They even used their tape measure to make sure they were centered exactly where they needed to be!  Great job overall. My only 4 star review is for the price. It was fair but higher than I originally anticipated the service to cost. But quality costs more and I am happy to pay it after seeing how well the rugs looked after being cleaned.

I had Caravan Rugs pick up and return a large oriental rug to my home.  I was really impressed with the punctuality of the service.
The rug looked old and drab before pick up but was returned looking like new.  I asked Jason about  one of my other rugs. He  told me that it would not be worthwhile to clean  it  because it would  be cheaper to replace it.  I appreciated his honestly.

They did an excellent job.  I took it to them, they cleaned it, it looked great, and I picked it up.  They charge per square footage.  I don’t know what people charge for Persian rug.  You go in, tell them, and they tell you when to come back pick it up, as I recall it was in couple of weeks and it was a done job.

Wayne is outstanding and professional. You will never take your rugs elsewhere once you see the quality of his work.

Jason is the only person I will call for carpet cleaning!! He is prompt, professional, affordable, and fast. Plus I don't have to worry about chemicals in my carpets, especially with a baby crawling all over the place. He has convinced us that chemicals are not necessary to clean carpets as each time we've used him our carpets look amazing and we don't have any gray build up! It was a terrible experience.  They picked up my carpet, then called to tell me the carpet had been torn.  I went to preview the damage and was devastated when I saw the damage to the fringe on my carpet.  They said it was dry rot....which was NOT true.  Not once did they apologize for the damage and were very rude.  They loaded the torn carpet into my car and said just take it....you don't have to pay for the cleaning.....which, even that, was not a good job.  I would NEVER, NEVER use these people again and suggest that no one else use them.  The owner is not professional and very rude.  I ended up taking my carpet to be repaired and they confirmed that the carpet was not dry rotted.....Caravan just screwed up!  I should have sued them for the damage and the cost to have it repaired.

I was a bit nervous about having the cushions cleaned since they are filled with down but the result was great.  The sofa was only slightly damp after all the cleaning was completed and dried very quickly.
