Very well- only problem was they started late so the job ran over until the next day- which meant. Had to board my dogs

I've used Capital Mulch for years to deliver hardwood mulch to my home. They offer a good product at a fair price and have excellent service.

I was very pleased with the service that I received from capital mulch. 

I found their price on Premium Triple Shred Hardwood Bark Mulch to be competitive and I am quite happy with the product so far (only had it about 2 weeks).  The fact that they offered a reasonable price on the installation was one of the reasons I choose them.

Rich was very helpful in explaining my options and delivered the mulch on time.  He uses a sub-contractor for the installation.  I was quite pleased with both and must add that the installers did a great job.  I was pleasantly surprised when the installer lightly edged by beds before doing the installation as I hadn't expected that.  I think that was a nice touch and it definitely enhanced the look. 

Assuming the color holds up well, I will order from them again.

I left a message to arrange to have mulch delivered on short notice. I got a response quickly, made arrangements for delivery. They called day of delivery to let me know they were on way. Arrived and dumped mulch where I asked them to. Was able to pay on the spot. Would definitely use them again. The mulch was very nice quality.

They arrived at our house on time, and it was excellent quality mulch.  We would definitely buy from them again.

This is the 4th delivery of different products from them and they consistently beat the competitor on price and always provide great service.  Nice people in the office and driving the trucks!

They are fantastic. I usually get a load of mulch in the spring. The guy that delivers puts it right where you want it. The other guys used to always get it all over the driveway and we have to shovel it off. He is very experience and skilled in driving the truck. He knows where it is being dumped. The mulch itself is very good. The other people's mulch used to always wash off with the rain and his mulch just seems to stay where you put it. It is a little bit expensive.

It was uneventfully smoothly.  He arrived a little later than plan, but not to the point that it caused any problems.  It took two loads to deliver 12 yards.  His subcontractor was great as well ... two guys spread it all within about six hours.  The only  issue I had was with the sub - he didn't quite listed to the boundaries of where to put the soil, but the error was not a problem.

They were great! On time delivery and very hard working. The yard looks great.

Capital Mulch Company was prompt, professional, and providing value-added service.  As we walked around the property, the owner gave advice about plant and lawn care.  The men who spread the mulch also pulled weeds (I didn't even ask!) before laying the mulch down.  They cleaned up after themselves and left everything looking picture perfect.  I would definitely hire them again!

Overall this was a very positive experience working with Capital Mulch, compared to other available options.  One landscaper was going to charge me double the cost, and overall I thought the quality of the product and the service was top-notch.  They came right on time, and in only about 2.5 hours had 20 yards of mulch installed, the beds cleaned, and the spot where the mulch was placed cleaned too. I'd gladly work with them again next year.

I called to understand what their "basic" mulch product looked like and originally didn't get a return call. (after I left a vmail) I followed up with a call a few days later and the phone was answered by the owner. He suggested a time that I could come by and look at the mulch (which I did) and we agreed that this would work for me as I had so much mulch to install. I scheduled a day/time right then with him that included the mulch installation.
He arrived on that day/time to deliver the mulch. (it actually took 3 loads since it was so much mulch) And his crew (of two) started installing the mulch. I can't say enough about the quality of work of this installation crew. They were very careful and also cleaned out some of the debris in the beds before installing the mulch. The mulch installation was probably the best I have had in the 10 years I have lived in my house. Truly excellent work by someone who cared about doing a great job!
Overall great experience and three of my neighbors have used Capital Mulch also and they are all happy. The only additional comment is to remember that this is a single man running a fairly busy operation (especially in the spring) and you may have to follow up yourself if you don't hear back. But given the prices and quality of service, this is a truly minor complaint and not one to hold against them.

Ordered online and requested next day delivery. Rich called to let me know what time he was coming the next day.
He came the time he said, was friendly and helpful.
He also waived the out of area delivery fee.

There were a few challenge scheduling the installation crew, but we were kept well informed throughut the scheduling process. The mulch looked as expected, and installation went quite quickly. Ot having to spread the mulch myself or find someone else to do so was a huge plus. We'll definitely use Capital again.

We ordered a truckload of mulch a few weeks ahead and were able to have it delivered exactly the day and time that we needed. He showed up on time and was very friendly. Just what we needed right when we needed it! Price was very reasonable.

Promptly at the scheduled time Rich arrived with a large load of shredded mulch.  He unloaded every shred of it just where we designated (a rather tight spot), easily avoiding the surrounding shrubs and trees.  The mulch is light and fluffy and is of the best color and quality we have ever gotten.  The price was just what we had agreed.  We are very happy with the service provided by Capital Mulch Company and will without reservation use this company for our next mulch order.

I used Rich at Capital Mulch once in 2010 at this property ($275 in mulch), then again in 2011.  The second time we did our business over the phone and he gave me a quote for the delivery of mulch and clay soil, then an additional figure for spreading it all out.  No problem, I ordered the work done.  When the day was done I ended up needing more soil and some branches hauled away.  Rich obliged, but at this point the quote jumped up to $365 and I kept getting interrupted when I asked for a breakdown of the charges.  No hard feelings, I paid it that day because he helped me out of a jamb and it was my own fault for not getting things in writing at first. 
Then a day later he calls and says that he needs another $100... says he forgot to add in the branches.  I felt that had already been taken care of, but again, nothing in writing; ultimatly I foresaw using him again the following year, so I paid the additional $100 as he asked.
Here's why he's getting a bad rating: In 2012 I called again and set up the usual order--  $300 of mulch.  No call back, no reply.  I called again a few days later; same result.  The following week I placed the order through his online service; yet no delivery came.  Finally I called again and left a message explaining that I would use Angie's list if I didn't get a call back explaining why he wasn't taking my business... after all, all of his bills had been paid without delay.  No call, no reply, and so here we are.
Rich, call me anytime and if this is addressed to my satisfaction, i'll re-edit the post.

Very well - quick response to initial inquiry, delivery within a day, good price.

.I ordered 11 cu yds of basic mulch - very reasonably priced. I called in the early AM and Rich was able to fit in a delivery today. I had tried a few other companies but they were booked through the weekend. I really appreciate him coming out with the mulch on such short notice. He arrived about an hour and a half early which was fine, as he knew I would be home. He was very adept at maneuvering the dump truck and was very careful to avoid the low-hanging power lines. Before he left, he gave me advice about "Snapper" mowers which I thought useful. The mulch is, well, basic mulch. Looks clean and fresh. Rich was very pleasant and friendly. Thanks!!

The office staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable.  The mulch was delivered in a timely manner.  The truck driver placed the mulch (all 20 yards of it) right where we wanted it--not spilling into the driveway as others had in the past.  It was a pleasure to do business with Capital Mulch.  I expect to be calling them next Spring for another load.

Called Capital Mulch to get a quote on top soil. After getting a price I considered fair, he told me he could deliver it within 2 hours. He was here in less than 1 and 1/2 hours. He was able to unload the dirt just where I needed it. Very friendly and professional. Will definitely use him again, and highly recommend his services. The screened top soil was very clean and free of debris.

Excellent service every time. Very reasonable prices. I can't say enough about the excellent service. Highly recommend.
