I expected them to be sharper than they are when I got them back. It wasn't a bad job done but not as good as I had hoped.

They are an old-fashioned hardware store. They have the best variety I found here for the things that you need that sometimes you won't be able to find on some of the big home-improvement stores. Their prices are reasonable.

Burke Brothers is without question the best hardware store that I have ever visited in this area. I used to do a lot of home repair and light construction work and made a lot of hardware store trips. Whenever possible I would use this store. They are well stocked, friendly, and the prices are not unreasonable. Yes, you sometimes (not always) will pay a bit more than Lowe's or Home Depot, but it is well worth it for the great customer service from the knowledgeable employees. It is hard to say enough good things about these folks. I used to live close to the store (ah, the good old days!) and would look forward to a visit, particularly if I had some hardware-related problem and needed their good advice. Try them out and see what an excellent hardware store is all about.

We have been going to Burke Brothers Hardware for twenty years, and they have never let us down. There are a few items on which they can't compete with the superstores, but you can buy nuts and bolts and many hardware items by the piece, so you only pay for what you need and no more. They are unfailingly courteous and helpful, and I recommend them without hesitation.

As soon as I walked in the store someone asked if they could help me. The salesman led me back to the correct area of the store and asked me questions to assess my needs. He checked with another salesman to make sure that they were giving me just the right thing. Then he carefully explained how to use it. And as always, they thanked me for coming in.

Was able to recommend the appropriate ant killer for my kitchen, and carpet spot cleaner. This is an old fashioned hardware store, who basically assign a salesman to each person who walks in the door. No wasted time going back and forth the the big box store and I save money on the parts that I buy. I don't have to buy 10 items to get the 1 I need.
