BELL'S CARPET

We chose Bell's because of the other Angie's List reports. From the beginning, in choosing the colors and styles they were extremely helpful. We had two different crews to install the different flooring. They came when they said they would, and were very professional. Everything was cleaned up after they left, and all old flooring was removed. Very pleased with the way our new floors look.

Bell's Carpet came over to my home and measured for a wall-to-wall replacement job. After taking measurements, we visited their showroom to look at carpets. They turned us on to Smartstrand carpeting, which is partially constructed from renewable resources and is highly cleanable. The product is very good and priced well. They also helped us pick sealed padding, which helps to keep stains from pooling below the carpet. They gave us a discount for being Angie's List customers. They let us take samples home so that we could decide on the type and color of carpet we wanted to purchase. After selecting the carpet we wanted, we were put on the schedule four weeks out. They sent us information on how to prepare the house for the installers, which was helpful. There was an additional delay in procuring the product, but we weren't on a tight schedule, so it didn't bother us. What did bother us is that Cell's Carpet called us on Friday and told us they'd be there at 9:00 am the following Monday. The following Monday at 9:30, the installers weren't at our house. I called the store to find out that we had actually been scheduled for that afternoon, but they couldn't tell me what time. I had to go to work, so I told them not to show up until the morning. To fix this oversight, they were able to add an installer to their team to finish the job in two days instead of the two-and-a-half that they originally planned for. The installers showed up on time the next day and they started working. The only other complaint I have is a mild one. I had moved a bunch of stuff off of the carpeted area to a hardwood floor section next to my stairs. In the process of replacing the carpet on the stairs, lots of debris from the carpet ended up on my belongings. Had I known that would have happened, I would have put a drop cloth on top. The installers were indeed able to finish the job on time. I walked through the house when they were done, and it looked like they did a thorough job. I didn't see any damage to my furniture or baseboard molding. Once we vacuumed the entire house, you couldn't even tell they had been there, except for the new carpet. The installers left two small rolls of carpet, which might be useful in the future.

Selected carpet. Fred came within two days to measure and gave me the cost. The carpet came in 3 weeks later and installed. The men were very courteous and efficient. They used old carpet from bedroom and installed it on stairs going up to bonus room. They cleaned up thoroughly and I would definitely use them again. The furniture was moved and put back in the same order it was. We were must pleased with the entire experience.

We got a good price on the carpet. We were pretty specific in what we wanted and feel that the salesman gave us good advice. Bell's had lots of samples and lots of carpet to look at. The carpet we bought has been just what we wanted. The installation was expert. There is a flaw in one place-- Bell's offered to redo a seam to fix the problem but we weren't sure that redoing a seam was a good idea in a high traffic area. It would have been helpful if the installers had noticed the problem before the job was finished. The installers did damage one wall-- Bell's had it fixed, with no problem.

They have been family owned for years and I believe their work is excellent. They are competitive with larger retailers. I did not feel rushed while I was deciding what I wanted. I think they were very patient and gave great feedback when I asked for it. I have used this company before and had a good experience then as well.

I thought that this job turned out terrific. The people there were really helpful and really good. I appreciate the sales staff as well. The installation people did a wonderful job. I know that they have two big sales though. One on Labor Day and one on Memorial Day. They are very professional and they are worth hiring.

They did a superb job. The carpet fits the room exactly and did not damage the hardwoods underneath. They came on time and cleaned up after they were done.

THEY ARE AN EXCELLENT BUSINESS. THEY REALLY DO GREAT WORK. THEIR PRICES ARE ALWAYS FAIR. THEY ALWAYS SHOW UP ON THE TIME THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO START WORKING. WEVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THEM WHATSOEVER.

THE CARPET LOOKS REALLY LOVELY AND FITS MY HOME REALLY NICE. THEY DO QUALITY WORK. THEY HAD NO PROBLEMS INSTALLING THE CARPET. IT WAS NOT EXPENSIVE BECAUSE THE ROOMS WERE REALLY SMALL.

AS FAR AS I COULD TELL, THEY DID A FINE JOB. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE WORKERS OR THE COMPANY. THE ONLY THING THEY DID WRONG WAS SCRATCH THE BASEBOARD A LITTLE BIT BUT THE CARPET LOOKS GOOD.

THE CARPET ITSELF WAS GOOD, BUT THEY KEPT TAKING BREAKS THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND DID NOT STAY ON THE JOB. IT WAS AFTER DARK BY THE TIME THEY GOT DONE. THEY HAD STARTED LATER THAN I WANTED TO (AT NINE IN THE MORNING).

THEY WERE QUICK TO MEASURE AND ORDER THE CARPETING. THEIR PROMPTNESS WAS A BIG FACTOR IN THE REASON THAT I WENT WITH THIS COMPANY. ALSO, THEY WERE HELPFUL IN MOVING SOME OF THE FURNITURE AROUND.
