Home Building
Our Expectation: When you pay a builder to build a 500,000 home, the builder will be onsite and quality control all contractors putting effort into the construction of the home. What we received: We received a home that has issues with squareness, level, and overall quality. We were forced to fight Beazer to have the contractors fix subpar work during the duration of the build. We are two years past our closing date and continue to have issues. The newest is black mold in the attic unit of our HVAC system. After meeting with Yellowdot and Beazer, neither of them will be paying the potential 1800.00 bill for mold remediation as well as installation of a UV light and scrubber. Yellow Dot Heating & Air Conditioning says that Mold in attic units in the southern US is common and the Builder would need to make it a standard to either install UV light and scrubbers in the systems or notify customers of the potential for Mold.
