Bartlett Tree Experts

Jeff Kish, Bartlett Tree Experts Mgr, and certified arborist, came out to do an estimate and look at all our landscape. He was extremely knowledgeable and also assured me that all of their employees who do the actual work have horticultural degrees. That definitely impressed me. If it weren't for the white peach scale, Mr. Kish wouI have only recommended the fertilizer. His approach seemed to be "less is best", which I totally agree with. I appreciated not being talked into a monthly spraying as some companies will do. It is not so much of a cost issue as I appreciate Bartlett's conservative approach to chemicals. They recommended a horticultural oil in the fall to help with insects over the winter. I had heard of this type of pest management like Neem Oil, which is very environmentally friendly. All in all, I was very happy, would definitely use them again, and will this fall.

They are professional and fine. They knew what they were talking about. They did a good job of removing the stump and the cleaning up after the tree and stump removal as well. We are going to use them again this spring and I just got a new quote from them, but I haven't responded.

Last fall trees were treated for mold and mildew disease. They arrived and diagnosed the trees immediately. Their knowledge of trees and diseases was impressive. Several trees have been fertilized. We also had roots removed from under our driveway without any damage to the tree. Service has been prompt and professional. Before calling them for the trees that were diseased we had a local company come out. The advised we should cut the trees down. This was never an issue with Bartlett. They assured us the trees could be saved and they have been.

I liked their professionalism. The workers were great. They weren't sloppy and did everything we needed done to our satisfaction. They cleaned up the mess after the work was complete.What I really like is they continue to keep in touch with us and send emails with tree information.

We have always been very pleased with them. They are always very prompt. They are very quick to get you estimates and follow-up. We have just always found them very good to deal with. I have never really used anybody else for tree removal but it seems like their quality of work is good and they come highly recommended.

Bartlett Tree Experts - 61121 were prompt when I called them to cut down a tree. But then there was another tree that was about to fall over that I hadn't seen before. It was a very tall pine tree. I called Bartlett Tree Experts on Monday and they said they couldn't come until Tuesday morning. And it ended up falling across the road in the middle of the night. They came and totally cleaned it up. Their prices might be a little bit high, but I think their service is better. I was satisfied with that work and would hire them again for similar work. They were very tidy and cleaned up everything. I appreciated that.

I found my experience with them a very useful. I found them very professional and helpful, since they gave me a lot of estimates for various options. They were personable and competent, specially in explaining everything to me like a layman, while discussing in detail about things I did not know in tree Management. They remained very patient on my queries. I don't remember their estimate but that too was pretty reasonable.

They were very professional, prompt and the gentle who came by was pleasant. The pricing on the quote was reasonable.

They were great about working with us to get exactly what we wanted done. The work was excellent quality.

The tree has improved with Bartlett's help. They have come while I'm at home and always knock on the door and are dressed professionally. The treatment plan involves regular visits which were outlined in their proposal and they stick to the schedule without us having to call and schedule. They have also trimmed branches from the tree.

This was a two step process. First, a Certified Arborist came to the house and provided a proposal in a day or so. Then, we scheduled a team of three men with two big trucks to come do the work. They arrived when scheduled and worked diligently for most of the daylight hours (this was in January). They cleaned up and removed all the debris. The bill (for the proposed amount) came by mail a week or so later. All their people were polite, professional, and friendly. The work consisted of pruning eight LARGE (50-70 ft tall) oaks, one big hickory, and four medium-size (maybe 30 ft) pecan trees. The purpose of the pruning was to maintain the health of the trees by removing deadwood and weight reduction where needed. They brought a bucket truck, a big towed commercial chipper-shredder, and a dump truck for debris. The price is comparable to what I paid seven years ago for similar work. I think their price was reasonable considering the size and number of trees and the fact they traveled some distance to do the work. I am not a tree person so I can't say if they trimmed all that needed to be trimmed. I can say that the crowns of the trees look natural (not butchered), which is probably a good indication. So overall, I'm satisfied with the work they did. Update: I called Bartlett in the fall of 2012 but they could not schedule the work until Jan 2013. By then the trees were bare and the dead limbs probably weren't obvious. Now that growing season has passed I can see that they missed several dead limbs, branches were not cut back from power lines, and low'hanging branches were not pruned. I was impressed with the arborist who took the order and did the original assessment but he was not present when the work was done. The work crew split up and worked several trees at the same time so I couldn't really monitor their work. The boss left with one of the vehicles before the job was done. The rest of the workers seemed eager to wrap things up. Again. I'm not a tree guy but I now feel they didn't do the best job.

Called them last year because we had a problem with our ornamental Cherry Trees loose their leaves mid summer. The Arborist came out and spent time with me looking over my trees and garden in general. We did the periodic service to inspect and spray anything with problems, especially the Cherry trees. I am very pleased with thier service and amazed at thier knowledge. The techs that come out for the services are also extremely knowledgable as well as very professional. My Red Oak tree is my baby, and they were very careful and did an excellent job trimming it last fall. Also last fall we did the tree & shrub fertilizer "boost' and I saw a significant difference in all of them this summer, especially the Dogwoods looked healthy, where in the past have looked tired and wilted most of the summer. Overall very pleased. They do get behind for appointments from time to time, but probably because when they come, they will spend time answering any questions, are very patient and friendly.

I did not hire them to do the job

They responded quickly with an estimate, scheduled the service and were very professional when they arrived to perform both services. When the workers arrived to do the tree work, they checked in to make sure we agreed on what they were doing (a lot of clean up around the yard) and then asked me to review the work afterwards to make sure everything was done. When they came to spray for mosquitos, the serviceman was very helpful, checking in before they sprayed to make sure we had no questions and understood exactly what they were doing. We have a HUGE amount of mosquitos normally and the next day we could walk in the back yard with no bites!

I wasn't there when they came out but the trees looked fine and they did exactly what they said they would do. They cleaned up afterwards. I have used them before and they are very professional.

They were excellent. I like them. I compared them to two people and they had a better rate. The quality of their work is very good. I cannot name anything about them that was not good.

They are pricey, but they did a good job--they took down trees and didn't harm the azaleas that were growing all around the bases. I wanted to be here when they were, so that led to some phone tag about when they would come out but when we finally set a date, the crew was here on time and did the job quickly.

We were expected to have the tree stumps ground down. There was a miss communication between the Bartlett and myself. Bartlett said they would come back and grind down the stumps.

They did an excellent job. They were courteous and on time. They were very helpful when I ask them questions. After they cut down the tree the hired someone else to take care of the roots and they hired a good company. They cleaned the yard after the tree came down, even though it could not have been convenient for them. They were always taking an extra step.

They are great at what they do. They are punctual, knowledgeable, and leave the place looking as good and clean as it did when they got there.
