B MOORE CONSTRUCTION INC

B Moore Construction was recommended to me by a neighbor.  Throughout the process, they were difficult to get hold of and not very responsive.  I had to contact the OWNER of the company twice in order to get the manager to call me back.  We were finally able to get the work scheduled and it wasn't until the work began that we learned B Moore Construction doesn't actually do any of the work.  They sent a sub contractor to our house. It continued to get worse from there.  On the following day, I caught a crew member of the sub contractor stealing from our property.  The police were called and once the sub contractor admitted to the theft, he was removed from the premises.  In the midst of this, I called the owner of B Moore and he sent the manager to my home.  The manager offered to have the rest of the crew removed from the property.  Given the fact that they were in the middle of the reconstruction process, we decided to just move forward toward completion.  Once the work was finally completed, we didn't hear from B Moore's owner or manager again until we received the bill for the full amount in the mail.  We were shocked that given the difficulties that we experienced with their company, no one from B Moore Construction called to follow up or came to inspect the final job.  We are left with items that still need attention and are very disappointed.

What was going to be a very quick and easy job turned out to be much more difficult once the overall damage was discovered.  B Moore handled it all in stride.  Their people were professional and very good at what they do.  In fact, I would describe the carpenter on this job as an artist.

Please note that the Contractor is no longer located on E 7th Street, but at 1705-H Orr Industrial Dr in Charlotte. The contractor hired a subcontractor, JMS Home Improvements to do the actual work , with Mr. McDaniel of B Moore managing the project. At first JMS appeared to be doing good work and their work on the roof was satisfactory. Once they started on the siding, however, the job quality deteriorated and they even took their crew accross the street to do a neighbor's roof leaving only one worker on our job. After 2 to 3 weeks of both us and Mr. McDaniel pointing out errors and shoddy work, JMS walked off the uncompleted job. Had it not been for Mr. McDaniel & B Moore, we would have been left holding the bag. However they brought in another sub who did an excellent job and completed the project under difficult weather conditions to our satisfaction. There were no additional costs passed on to us, as B Moore absorbed whatever over runs there were. They have also come out and touched up a few places at our request, with no complaint at all. We have no hesitation in recommending them to any who need their services

B Moore was a great company to work with. They were knowledgable, explained the extent of the damage and the best way to get everything fixed. We were completely satisfied.

They were punctual and professional. They completed all the work. They communicated well. They were easy to work with and answered my questions. They were attentive and responsive in every way.
