An appointment was made at a mutually acceptable time, I took the car in and the work was performed! No fuss, no muss, just done expertly. Other items for my consideration were detailed and I was on my way.
I have used this shop for many years in this and the previous location and have found Andy and his staff to always do excellent work in a timely fashion.

They are extremely capable and pleasant to work with. I find them very honest and very reasonably priced for the quality of work. I recommended them to a coworker for brake work and she was stunned at how reasonable their prices are. They are very accommodating and I wouldn't hesitate to bring any car I own to them. I feel that they have a more of a personal touch with service than the high end chains and they go the extra mile. I couldn't recommend them to others highly enough!

Andy Trexler (owner of AVEC) has serviced and repaired my cars for years and years. AVEC is the only place to go for reliable care service and repair. This is especially important for those of us who know next-to-nothing about cars. Andy is fantastic: professional, friendly and honest. He gives reliable information, advice and service. I know others who also go to AVEC and wouldn't go anywhere else.

When clutch failed, had car towed to AVEC. Problem diagnosed within 48 hours (I have a back-up vehicle so he has permission to take his time). Discussion about opening transmission. AVEC was able to find transmission kit from UK with shipping by boat. OK'd length of time to wait for repair (4 weeks to get part). At the five week mark, MINI was being test-driven by AVEC to make sure rebuild was solid. Mechanic explained in detail exactly what was discovered when the transmission was opened and what was replaced when I arrived to pick the car up.

AVEC is not on Angie's List, so I approached this contact with care. Andy and the team at AVEC put my mind at ease. AVEC has been around for many years. Their current location is just off Glenwood Ave near Fred Anderson Toyota and Angus Barn. After dropping off my car, Andy called to provide me with the assessment of what needed to be repaired. He also provided additional service recommendations, but was not pushy about getting them done. The work was performed and the problem with the check engine light was resolved by replacing the engine's thermostat. After finishing the repair, I returned about 1 week later for my vehicle inspection - after verifying the check engine light was not going to come back on. Andy was very good about answering my questions and making recommendations for future service and repairs.
