Usman Ahmad of Arborex Tree Services, came out and gave me an estimate. He was very professional & punctual. We agreed on estimate, and set a date. It was during the time it was raining and he would call & let me know when the weather was right. So we set a date, he and his men came out and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend him.

The crew was professional and very efficient. I will use them again.

Usman came to the house soon after my request and gave what I considered to be a fair estimate for the work that needed to be done. The trimming and tree removal were completed while I was at work and the debris cleaned up and hauled away. Due to his chipping machine not working properly that day, Usman said he would get some good quality wood chips and bring them back to me as I wanted to use the chips in another part of the yard. Again I came home from work and surprise - a lovely big pile of wood chips piled neatly on the side of my driveway. I found Arborex Tree Services to be completely professional, courteous and prompt with their service. I would definitely use them again.

They removed the trees as discussed and cleaned up the area.

Usman is professional, a pleasure to work with. He came out to the house prior to the work date to assess the job, and he advised me on that day of an additional (reasonable) cost over my Angie's List coupon purchase that would be required for the work requested. Usman's crew was very efficient on the day the job was performed.

We bought the $500 tree service package, Usman said we would be call me the week after, I waited for thee weeks, and no callback. Finally I called him again, and he came a few days later. We needed to trim the bushes around the house and trim a few trees, his estimate was $950 for trimming the bushes and 1030 for trimming the trees. The total estimate was $1980. We thought it was too expensive and told him we would get more estimates. We found another company (Lush Lawn Care) for the bushes, and they trimmed our bushes for $375, and they did an excellent job, they actually did much more than Usman was going to do. This is the same job that Usman estimated for $950. A few weeks a later, we called Usman and asked him to come and perform $500 of services of tree trimming according to his original estimates ( for $500, he said he can trim two trees and remove one small dead tree), but he refused to honor his original estimates. He said he is not coming and will give us the refund. I think he offered this package just for the purpose of bait and switch, if you don't buy additional service from him, he won't honor the original package. I would have bought additional service if his estimate were not that outrageous. $950 vs $375.. BUYER, BEWARE!

Arborex Tree Services did a great job at my house yesterday. They were very friendly and professional. I was surprised to see them this week since the weather had been so unpredictable but they came in and had everything taken care of in about 1.5 hours. I had a huge overgrown bush/tree that had obviously never been trimmed back and was out of control. They came in and removed the whole thing. They also trimmed some pine trees I was concerned about because they were hanging over my fence line and getting close to the house. I was very pleased with the work completed and will use them again in the future.

From the moment I placed my request with Mr. Ahmad's tree service, Aborex Tree Services (through a recent "Big Deal" on Angie's List), his professional services began. This started with an email from Mr. Ahmad within 24 hours and quick responses to my inquiries. He worked within my timeframe for meeting/assessing the trees to be worked and came to my home within 4 days of the initial service request. He was very polite, understanding, and provided a very reasonable quote for any additional costs (e.g. increased time needed to cut limbs that extended over neighbor's fence without allowing any limbs to fall on fence/property). He had told me the work would be done within the next 2 weeks, which was fine with me. Two days later (in Orange County), another ice storm was brewing (all the trees were coated and roads slick). That morning Mr. Ahmad and his very professional team arrived at my home at 9am to start the work. I couldn't believe that he had moved my work from "last place on his list" to "first". He said that "in his business he has two lists - and one being - humanitarian." He knew that my trees were unstable and could fall on my neighbor's property - so he decided that with the impending ice storm the work at my home should be done ASAP. I can't tell you how quickly and efficiently they worked. Everything was done perfectly and without any damage. The work was completed around 11:30am. They even trimmed an adjacent tree without any additional cost. The services that Mr. Ahmad and his team provided exceeded my expectations and my words really lack how appreciative I am for all that they've done. Just for an FYI - it took Mr. Ahmad and his team 4+ hours to go from his business in Knightdale to Cedar Grove, NC that morning because of all the ice on the road. That's dedication and speaks volumes about Mr. Ahmad and Aborex Tree Services.

Provider did a great job cutting a couple trees, they cleaned up and were fast. Only trouble I had was getting an appointment, apparently they are very busy and I appreciated their willingness to try their best to fit me in. I would definitely recommend them.

Usman came out and detailed everything that needed to be done. Once we agreed on everything, he and his men showed up for two very long days to get everything taken down and ground up. Even though two of the trees were very close to the house and right by a deck and chain link fence, they were able to remove them without damage to anything. Usman and his crew were great to work with. They were very professional and diligent in getting as much accomplished as they could while they were here. The trees - except for the largest pieces - were reduced to mulch which I now have to start my re-landscaping project.

Arborex was ultra responsive. Very friendly! They did the estimate and returned the same day to do the work. They had a huge crew of about 5 folks, who worked for about 2.5 hours. They worked fast, efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. As usual, the job started small, and I added to it... which increased the price, which is to be expected.

From the initial purchase, through the day the was completed, Arborex Tree Services maintained excellent communication. Usman Ahmad first came out to look over my property, and recommend the work he felt I could use, in order of priority. He was very polite and professional, and while he did suggest quite a bit of work, he was never at all aggressive, and I welcomed and appreciated his advise. We easily agreed on the work that would be done, and he was quickly on his way. Even sooner than expected, he was back with his crew to do the work. His men worked quickly and carefully, and did everything that we had agreed would be done. My yard and street were cleaned well. I would certainly recommend Arborex, and will likely use them again.

Bought the big deal and was quickly contacted by Usman from Arborex to schedule service. Because of weather and our schedule we delayed service until end of February. I had no trouble getting in touch with Usman, and he stopped by my home to survey the work within 2 hours of our phone conversation. He was very frank and stated the work we needed done would exceed the $200 covered by the Big Deal we purchased by about $400. He tried to work with me to bring this more into our price range, but it just wasn't. He said he was more than happy to work with us or if I felt it would not work out we could part ways amicably. After discussing it with my husband we decided to hold off. Was very happy with the customer service, but can't speak to the service itself.

Arborex Tree Services responded soon after my purchase, and completed the work very quickly. Also, Mr. Usman was very professional and cordial.

They were out within a couple days to remove the 3 trees. Everything went well although the stump removal took a little longer than planned because of weather and machinery. They got it done!!!

I originally purchased a $99 for 2 hours coupon. After purchasing Usman called right away and setup an appointment to review what we needed done. When he came out, he told us the plan for the branch removal—which included spiking up several trees, tying ropes to the branches so that when cut they wouldn’t fall, then lowering to the ground to avoid damaging anything. Once lowered, they removed the branches and left the larger cut up pieces for me to use as firewood. After the initial meeting, the actual work was delayed by weather. We received 8 inches of snow and single digit temps. I wasn’t expecting anyone to be working outside in this weather but Usman sent an email to let me know that he would reschedule the work for the following week, then he gave me a choice of 3 days for the work to complete on. Once selected, he showed up as planned and performed all work that I asked for. In the end, I paid $150 more for additional trimming and cleanup but overall it was well worth the $$.

No complaints. I would highly recommend doing business with Arborex tree service.

The team of five guys worked for several hours to remove trees, cut down numerous branches and clean up after themselves. I was very impressed with the quality and professionalism of the owner and team members. Fantastic!

From the time I purchased the deal on Angie's list until the day of the tree removal was less than a week. We were contacted quickly via phone, walk through and estimate were done two days later. And the removal was two days after the estimate. We were given estimates for future work as well. Everything was very professional and done in a timely matter.

Usman contacted me promptly after I purchased the Angie's list deal. He was very courteous and professional. We had to re-schedule due to the snow storm but that was no issue since he was responsive. He and his crew showed up on time, did the work for the agreed to price, cleaned up the debris - all good! He even warned me about some of the little trees and plants that might get damaged due to the work but, in the end, his crew was able to do the work without damaging any of them, better than promised.

I called to make an estimative appointment. They had a schedule opening and arrived the same day. They quickly took down the deceased Bradford Pear and moved on to the Oak on the north side of the house. Squirrels used it a launching pad to the roof and attempt to scratch their way into the house. With extreme professionalism and care they cut down the 50+ foot tree, chipping the limbs and trunks of the trees on the spot. If I ever need another tree(s) removed I won't hesitate to call Aborex Tree Services or recommend them to others.

I called the contractor and he was able to meet with me the same day to go over what I wanted. He gave me a good price on the service and informed me of the time frame that it would be done. As I started hearing about the approaching snow/ice storm that was headed our way. I knew that this would delay the service and was very understanding of that possibility. But to my surprise, I receive an voice message a few hours before the weather was to turn bad, that they had completed the job, which was well ahead of my expectations. I am very pleased at the work they did, they cleaned up and the yard looks great. I would recommend them to anyone.

Usman contacted me shortly after I purchased coupon. He quoted a good price and planned to remove the tree within the week, weather permitting.He contacted me again, and was able to remove the tree the next day, the morning of our snow event. They arrived early, removed tree and roots quickly, and cleaned up well.

My first Angie purchase…my first ‘Big Deal‘…my first review. I wish I could give an A+++++. This will be a detailed review. As I read reviews of the performances of the different tree companies in the area the last couple of weeks I always wished I had a little bit more info. Arborex Tree Services was already on my short list, so when their Big Deal showed up on Friday morning offering $500 worth of tree service for $219, I decided to bite the bullet. It was the best decision I ever made. I knew I had more than $500 worth of work to be done, but I figured this would be a start and I'd see what they'd do and how much the other things would cost. Within an hour of my purchase, Usman had contacted me via Angie’s List mail and we set up an appointment to meet that very afternoon. He arrived promptly (what a likeable, polite, knowledgeable guy, btw) and I thought I knew what I wanted him to do. We had this huge red tip bush (tree?) that was over thirty feet tall and at least that wide with several offshoot trunks that were at least 8-10 inches in diameter. It had totally taken over that side of the house and yard. The house couldn’t even be pressure washed or painted there because the tree/bush was so big. I asked him about trimming it back and he looked at it and said, “I can trim it back but it will look ugly. There will be nothing left but these huge trunks and limbs coming out of the ground. For sixty dollars more, we can make it disappear.” I immediately saw what he was talking about. As we walked around the yard he pointed out what should be taken away and what could be trimmed back. We had several issues on both ends of the house where huge trees and/or limbs from huge trees were leaning over the roof of the house…in some cases, almost touching. There were 3 river birch branches at least 8 inches in diameter that were 30-40 feet long over one section of the roof. I had explained to Usman that we were planning on putting our house on the market in the spring and as he walked around the yard he talked about trimming the ‘canopy’ in the back and side yards to open up the yard to provide a more pleasurable view for potential buyers. I realized quickly that this guy knew what he was talking about and he knew a lot more than I did about it all. I decided to put my complete trust in him. That was the second best decision I ever made. Usman gave me a final quote for everything. I was astonished. It was hundreds and hundreds of dollars less than I thought it would be. I've read on Angie's List what people are getting for what they pay, and this was a heck of a deal. This is a very professional outfit.. My wife and I were out when the crew arrived two days after my Angie‘s List purchase (Usman and I had already discussed these details in an email…this guy is super conscious about communicating everything). We came home to find a crew of four dressed in the company logo, helmets on and a big truck and wood chipper in our driveway. All the company vehicles have the company logo as well. This is not a fly-by-night group. The red tip bush was already gone….what a huge difference already. The crew acknowledged us, but kept on working. Usman had come with the crew, showed them what needed to be done, supervised some and offered instructions and had left. No problem with that. I knew I would see him later on. The crew or ‘team’ is amazing. Absolutely amazing. I found out later that they are all cross-trained. All of them can shimmy a tree with a chainsaw without spikes, they all can toss the ropes (more about that in a second), they can all drive and operate the smallest and largest of the equipment and vehicles and man the bucket. The team worked from 12:30 to 4:30 without a break. One was cutting, one was throwing the ropes, one was hauling limbs to the chipper, one was cleaning the yard. Rope throwers. As I mentioned, several trees and limbs were either very close to and even overhanging the house. These guys are physic genius’s and probably don’t know it. I was completely marveled as they threw ropes up above the limbs they were going to remove, sometimes to adjacent trees at odd angles…..and when they cut the big limb or tree…..nothing happened. Absolutely nothing happened. There was no crash, there was no excitement, no…well nothing. They cut and then whatever they cut was suspended until they lowered it to the ground. Their concept of “for every action, there is a reaction” is overwhelming. I mentioned this to Usman and he told me about how on the day before they had removed two huge pines that were just feet away from a house. It took a while, but they did it the right way and without incident. We had a LOT done. Some big stuff (trees with a considerable diameter)….and some not so big. There are two huge crepe myrtles in the front yard. They, of course, needed trimming back. I told Usman I could do that. He smiled and said, “Let us do it for you. You will do it and have to pull all the limbs to the back”, smiling as he looked at my pile of brush I’d stacked over the years. LOL. He was right. I was quite amazed when I watched two of the crew trim the crepe myrtles. The last time it was done a few years ago, someone used a chainsaw. Today, one guy had a small saw and did the whole thing by hand. Same thing with the second crepe myrtle. I asked Usman about that later as I mentioned I was surprised they didn’t just use a chainsaw. His answer, “A chainsaw can kill these bushes. You wait….when you sell your home this bush will be the centerpiece of your home when people drive up.” Arborex took out a few trees we didn’t talk about. No problem here. Usman said that as they trimmed back some of the trees trying to clear the roof line that at some point there were no limbs…just tree. Ugly. The extra charge for taking down the trees? 0$. This was true on three occasions. No extra charge for doing the job right. Again, the folks on Usman’s team (he has just the one crew so you’ll get who I got) were amazing. When they were finished they blew all the leaves off my front yard, walkway, porch, driveway….even my backyard that I had ignored so far this year! At the very end, I asked the crew if they could remove a cherry tree that Usman and I had not discussed. The team had already shut down and cleaned up the wood chipper but did so without hesitation. Extra charge? 0$ Usman and I did a final walk through that afternoon. I was pleased, but he noticed a couple of things and had a couple of members of his team take out a few more limbs. Again, he was spot on. Usman sent me a follow up email that same night making sure that I was pleased with everything. I was. He pointed out that even though they had removed numerous trees, it didn’t look like it. It just looked good….and better. He was right. As we put our house on the market in the spring and the trees leaf out, I will remember Usman and what he did for us . I don’t know how I can recommend anyone with more enthusiasm. I found Usman personable, brilliant in many respects and totally trustworthy. I can almost guarantee that once you meet him, you will hire him. As a small business owner for 27 years who has just retired, I can tell you that the relationship that Usman has with his customers is exactly what kept me in business for so long….outstanding customer service….do the job right, regardless….if there is a problem, fix it. It was a great experience and I was extremely pleased.
