Arborex Tree Services

I got in contact with the service provider right after we purchased the big deal, he was very nice and very professional. He called to let us know that he had sold more big deals than he originally thought and there would be a bit of delay. We agreed to the service anyway. Before he delivered the mulch, he also let us know that other patrons weren't happy with how the mulch was. We still decided to go ahead with services. He delivered the mulch on the morning of the 6th, and was covered up until the 11th. On the 13th, I spread about 10% of the mulch on the lawn. I realized quickly that there were mushrooms sprouting out of the pile of mulch sitting in my driveway which was clue #1. Today on the 16th, I realized that the mushrooms were gone and had began to spread an additional 10% of the pile and realized that it was infested with termites. I have written him an e-mail and left a voice mail and have gotten a response from the service provider that he will not be back until June 27th. I am contacting Angie's List to get the situation handled.

Arborex was offering such a good price because the mulch they produce is fresh from their tree trimming business. it includes the leaves sticks and chips from chipping up the branches and trees they cut down during their professional tree trimming jobs. It is not triple shredded or dyed. Usman was very professional and responsive in communicating with customers when he realized that some had purchased his mulch with miss set expectations about what their mulch would look like. He gave everyone the chance to cancel their order if they were not looking for the kind of mulch he was offering. I did want that kind of mulch, but didn't have the ability to install it myself. Since Usman couldn't offer installation, we agreed that canceling the order would be best. However, if I can arrange to get help with installation, I would purchase that deal again or use their services for tree trimming as well. I found communicating with Usman easy, straightforward and very honest. I recommend them, from what little experience I ultimately had of their business.

They did the job in two parts. They completed pruning and the taking down of dead limbs in May. We liked what they had done so we hired them to take down the Maple in June. The final cost was just as it was invoiced for the estimate. They brought a crew of three men and they were very professional and great. The tree they took down was very difficult. They brought it down in pieces and were very careful. It was a great experience and they were terrific! We have even recommended them several others as well.

I was really please with Arborex. They came out and gave me an estimate and also advised me on other services that I might need done, but was not pushy for me to purchase additional services. They gave a professional opinion on what should be taken care of most urgently and prioritized the other things for me so that I could make a more informed decision on what I wanted done in this trip. I appreciated the help they gave me and the great job that they did for me.

Generally, I am satisfied with the delivery and value of the mulch although this mulch is not the quality and appearance of what is in bags at the home centers. It is the complete tree shredded and includes lots of leaves and long branches. But, if you need lots of mulch and are covering areas that are not in the most visible areas of your property, then this should work fine. It is certainly a lot less expensive and it is delivered.

I purchased a big deal for them on Angie's List. It was fine. I know that they had issues with the kind of mulch they were selling with other people. It didn’t matter to us about the mulch. But it took us a little bit to connect with them.

We had to re-schedule several times but Usman kept us informed on schedule. Usman provided honest feedback on our needs and was very knowledgible on his business

They were very good. My wife found a groupon for it, and it was a good deal. The price was fair. They were good, I would use them again in a heart beat.

When I ordered, I did not realize the mulch that he was to deliver would contain twigs and leaves.When he did not deliver at the time we had discussed, I called him and he told me he was running late. However, at the same time he told me he was not a mulch dealer, so his delivery would include twigs and leaves...something that I did not want.He was nice, told me to contact you for a reimbursement. He also explained that he did not realize that his advertisement should have included this information.

The work went smoothly and efficiently. They arrived on time and well equipped with sufficient staff to get the job done quickly. Arborex will likely be contracted again to remove the entire wax myrtle in future.

They did a very efficient and neat job. This is the second time I have used their services. I had an Angie's Deal for $249 for $500 worth of service which I supplemented with $150 to get the work completed. I did not get other estimates so cannot comment on the price for the service.

Arborex offered a "deal" on fresh hardwood mulch. I understood it was not tripled shredded mulch and was fine with the condition of the product. The customer service exceeded my expectations. I was contacted several times and given status updates. Arborex even gave me the opportunity to receive a refund before delivery because the mulch did not meet the expectation of customers. I was not at home during the delivery and had to deal with the dump location via phone. They took care in the placement of the huge mulch pile. There was no damage to the property. I rate the overall experience very positive.

We had a couple of good quotes, but Usman impressed us the most with his professionalism. He met with me initially, then came again to talk with my husband and to reassure our next-door neighbor, whose yard we thought might need to be used in removing one of the trees. The team arrived on schedule and worked quickly but carefully. When there was a change of plans in how one of the trees needed to come down, we were informed. They ground all stumps including several from a previous tree removal, and located one we didn't know we had! By mid-afternoon everything was back in place and the yard looked wonderful! Usman came by later to make sure we were pleased with everything. He took into consideration the overall look we were trying to obtain, and wanted to make sure that was accomplished. Arborex does excellent work, and is a company run with integrity. We would absolutely use again.

Could not deliver. Nice guy, though. Very honest about the situation.

The service turned out well. The staff came to take out a large Elm tree and ground the stump. They also trimmed up some trees in the yard. The technicians were polite, professional and knew what they were doing. They were great with the clean up afterwards. Scheduling was not an issue.

I rated the overall experience as an 'A' because the company contacted me to let me know that other customers who purchased this big deal were unsatisfied with the type of mulch they were delivering. They explained very clearly the type of mulch and what was making the customers unhappy. They informed me on how to obtain a credit if I thought I would unhappy with this mulch as well. I thought about it for a day, and decided I would probably use the mulch more for decorative purposes and so the color (and how fine it was) would matter, so I pursued a credit. I therefore thought the company was very responsible and up front and out to please. I would use them again.

Everything went great, Usman was very professional and helpful in scheduling the initial visit. I had a very tight timeline to get the work done in time for my daughter's graduation party that was scheduled only 7 days away. Usman was able to reschedule another client's work which allowed him to be able to get the work done in time for my party. Usman assured me that the work would be done in plenty of time before my first guest would arrive and that he would clean up all evidence of them being there. He and his team, which involved many extra workers arrived the morning of the party, he brought extra workers so they could be sure to get the work done and cleaned up in time. They also brought along a wood chipper to dispose of all the branches and leaves as they cut them from the trees. They also cut down some branches from a very high tree, that were hanging over the house which was needed in case they fell on the house. Usman was true to his word, the work was done efficiently and in time and the yard looked great when they left. I am planning to have him come back later next month to take down 2 additional trees in my back yard. I high recommend Arborex Tree Services and plan to use them again as needed.

This was an Angie's list special. I corresponded with Arborex about the delivery time, date, and location by email. It was very easy and delivered promptly. They were very polite and punctual. The mulch has been spread and looks great.

I have so much mulch I will be able to do everything in my yard. I would use this company again!!!

When I arrived home the mulch was on the front yard on the tarp just like I asked. After examining the mulch it was not aged mulch like I expected but fresh clippings with leaves, green pine needles and green bark.

Arborex did an outstanding job. I had two trees near the corner of the house and deck and a propane tank on the other side. Usman and his team arrived on time and went right to work and completed everything in three hours. They were not only quick but very good and safe. They dropped both trees down without touching the house, deck or tank. Awesome to watch. They cleaned up all the debris and did a couple of other things for free. Very professional and Usman is great to work with. Afterwards you couldn't tell there had been trees in the space. I recommend them highly.

It was a pleasure to work with the team from Arborex! Ahmad came to the house and helped us assess the most urgent issues that we could have performed and stay within our budget. He kept us abreast of his schedule on the day the work was to be performed. It was amazing to see the energy the guys expended dragging limbs to be chipped, etc.......especially since they had started working at 7 am the morning before they arrived (at 2 pm) at our house. Ahmad was willing to work with our special requests such as cutting the trunks as low as possible to the ground, and the placement of the wood chips. As other reviews have indicated, this team performs flawlessly, and cleans up the grounds after the work is completed. The "icing on the cake" was not discovered until the next day, when I discovered that a huge pile of pruning branches, blackberry branches, and weeds that I had piled on the lawn the previous day (so they could work around the holly tree) had mysteriously disappeared! This saved me much time and effort. Ahmad told me that his team has been with him for 8 years. The team members are experienced and work well together - a reflection of the effectiveness of Ahmad's management style.

It did not go well. His estimate was 2.5 times higher than the others. My husband canceled the service. He did give us a discount but, it was still way high. We would not use them.

Usman came with a full crew and all the equipment. The whole job took a little over an hour, and the front and back yards, minus the 4 removed trees, looked better than before removal. Arborex had all the right equipment - a remote control stump grinder, a chipper for grinding up the debris, and a front end loader to remove the tree trunks. It was impressive to watch the way team all knew their roles and jobs. Every one was very good at those jobs, very professional. I've seen other tree removal contractors, but the way Arborex approached the job was indeed impressive. Usman talked to us after the work was complete: He said our trees (we've got a lot of them) are all healthy - he didn't see any problem areas. We talked about future plans to expand our deck - Usman suggested getting two large trees in the back yard, which would be very close to the deck, removed before we do that job. If we built the deck before removing the trees, the price would be four times higher (cranes, etc.). Good advice. Usman and Arborex will be handling any and all future tree removal needs for us. I highly recommend them.

We ordered the deal and spoke with a company representative to schedule a delivery of mulch. Delivery was scheduled on May 22 between 12 and 1 o'clock. At 5 PM on that date, we contacted the facility because we have not yet received our mulch. At that time we were told that our mulch have been delivered to the wrong person. The agency called us back and rescheduled our delivery for Friday, May 23. They reported they would call 45 minutes before the delivery. We did not hear from the facility on May 23rd, so we contacted them that afternoon. We were told they would try to deliver mulch, but they could not guarantee delivery that day. By this time, we had no confidence that we would get our delivery of mulch before the weekend, if at all. Therefore, we cancelled our order and purchased mulch from another provider.
