They did a great job. They took out a few trees and limbed up some other trees. They were able to get right out to do the job and scheduling was easy. They did a good job with the clean up and a crew of about half a dozen employees came out to perform the service. I wished Angie’s List would let me give them an A+.

Arborex Tree Services was great but my wife and I decided to go with another service provider. We love Angie's List and we use is as much as we can.

We knew that we needed to have two trees removed from our back yard in order to have other work done. After joining Angie's list last on a Sunday, we did a little research on tree removal services near our area. Arborex had one of the better ratings and the hours showed they worked on the weekend as well :). We called after opening hours and Usman answered! He was very friendly and interested in what we were wanting to have done. He said he could come to our house that afternoon to give us an estimate! WOW!! WHAT SERVICE!! He was very friendly and professional when he showed up. We showed him the two trees we wanted removed and he gave us an estimate. We told him we wanted him to preform the job and wanted to pay cash. He even gave us a little discount for paying cash. Yeah!! He told us he could do it the following week. We had no problem with that. The night before the trees were to come down, he called and asked if he could bring by a few of his guys to show them what trees were to be taken out, as he wasn't sure he would arrive with them in the morning. We appreciated the fact that he wanted to ensure his people knew exactly what we had agreed upon before performing any work. While they were here the evening before, we (I) decided to have a dying bush removed as well. Usman wasn't thrown at all by us (me) adding the bush to the mix and we adjusted the price to include the bush. Five or six gentlemen showed up on Wednesday morning at 7:30 am. Because the trees were in our fenced-in back yard, they couldn't use their normal equipment to remove them, so they had to do it "old school." It took a TOTAL of 40 minutes from arrival to departure for the two trees and bush to be removed, stumps ground, and all cleared/cleaned. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Arborex (and Usman) and would state, without hesitation, that if you need any type of tree service work done, use Arborex -- you won't be disappointed you did!!!

We had trimmed a few trees ourselves the previous day and had already taken one truck load to the local dump. Usman cleaned up the next load for us, saving us the time and trouble of loading our truck and making a second trip. Usman is very nice and has an efficient team of workers.

I purchased the service, I received an email stating the time and date when they would come and give me an estimate. For some reason there was a miscommunication and I called and he told me he could come to my house within 45 minutes. The owner came and gave me an estimate. He told me he could have the crew at my house within two hours. I agreed even though the final price was much more than I had planned to pay. The owner came back with his crew and all of their equipment!! They started to work and I watched in amazement as they all worked together and each one did their specific job. My yard looks so good!! I am very happy with the job. I have had several neighbors to ask me about the company and I have even recommended the company to some of my friends. Even though I spent more than I had planned to spend , I am glad that I did, I will definitely call them again. JOB WELL DONE!!

The crew did a great job. They did an even better job than I had expected. I was very pleased with their work and will definitely utilize their services again.

i contacted arborex late last week to come quote on the removal of a large hickory tree that was leaning towards my house. if it fell on my house it would cut it in half like slicing a cake. mr ahmed called me right away and went by my house while i was at work, saving me the trouble of having to be there. from my yard he agreed that the tree was dangerous, shallow roots, and that he could cut it down and grind the stump for $1000. he set the date for monday, july 28. that morning he had a flat tire on one of the trailers for the stump grinder...you should see the rim. that put him behind for the whole day but at 6:40pm he showed up and had that tree down, the stump ground [ plus 3 other small ones for free] in less than two hours. that tree looked like it was at least 80-100 feet tall, a huge hickory, in my back yard. i am very happy with arborex tree service. they were fast, efficient, cordial, competitively priced, and didn't require me to lose time from work for the quote or to do the job. i would definitely hire them again.

I was very pleased with the project. I had worried about the trees being very close to my house, with my satellite dish nearby, but they removed them with no issues. Very professional work!

I had originally seen an excellent review on Angie's List by an Arborex customer and decided to call. My next door neighbor was also interested and I contacted the owner and asked if we should both buy one of the specials. The owner Usman Ahmad said "no"; instead, I should first have him come and do a free estimate. I was impressed! He came to my house, coordinating his visit so that he could also speak to my neighbor. He gave me his assessment regarding the trees on my property and gave me a very nice discount. I was not home when the work was done but my next door neighbor was and she was impressed with how professional the workers looked, how they wore appropriate safety items, how they helped each other and cleaned up after themselves. Usman came back himself later that evening to walk over the property with me, explained everything that was done and made suggestions for the remaining trees - for example, the crepe myrtles will need trimming back this fall, but no sooner than that due to the shock of nearby tree removal. Needless to say, whenever that needs to be done, I will have Usman do it! This is my first experience removing trees from my property and I had to have a lot removed. It's still a little strange to see all the open space but I am very happy to know the trees were removed appropriately (they were either diseased or causing a hazard to my house) with no compromise to my house or yard.

On July 5, 2014, I purchased a $219 Angie's List Big Deal for $500 of professional tree service from Arborex Tree Services. On July 15, Usman Ahmad, owner of Arborex Tree Services, came to my home to get an understanding of the work that I wanted to have done and provide an cost estimate to complete those services. I found Usman's advice as to what should be done to accomplish my objectives to be very helpful. The estimate provided included credit for the $500 purchased through the Angie's List Big Deal, and I believed that the estimate provided was very reasonable. I subsequently sought to schedule the service, and I found Usman to be very responsive to my inquiries. We agreed to perform the work on July 21 at 8:30 AM. Usman and his crew of 6 arrived at 8:20 AM, and by 10:15 AM the work was complete and they were heading off to the next job. I am totally satisfied with the work that Arborex performed. They completed everything that I expected. Usman effectively conveyed to the crew what needed to be done. He was careful to consult with me during the work to make sure that they were meeting my needs & expectations. The crew was hard working and efficient. Pruning the pine trees located near to the house required that each branch be tied off before the cut and then lowered to the ground. The process was coordinated perfectly. I will use Arborex Tree Services again for any tree trimming or tree removal needs, and will recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

They cut down trees on 2 of my properties. Cut down an apple tree and a pear tree in the front/back yard of 1 townhome. They also cut down a Red Tip bush that had grown to the size of a tree in the back yard of another townhome. He was excellent and he did extra work for me as well.

They say you shouldn't always go with the cheapest estimate, but we did -- and the job was done to 100% satisfaction. I called Usman on a Monday after having gotten three estimates from other companies. All four companies had top reviews on Angie's List. I don't hire anyone without good AL reviews. Not only were we getting our trees down, but I was also calling on behalf of our neighbors on either side. Our nine (9) trees were the smallest job of the three; the neighbors on both sides were having dozens of trees (mostly very tall pines) taken out of their heavily wooded back yards as well as tall pines taken out of their fronts. Usman was going to be in the neighborhood that night as he had another job nearby, so he was able to come and give an estimate the day I called. His estimate for 2 of the 3 properties was considerably lower (hundred$) than any of the others; I didn't have him estimate the third as that neighbor had decided to go with another provider (who I didn't get an estimate from as that provider didn't have a single review on Angie's). After more review checking that night, I called Usman the next morning and told him he had the job. As it turns out, a job he had scheduled for the next day or two cancelled as they had unexpected company show up early for the 4th of July weekend..... Usman and his excellent crew showed up at 7:30 on Wednesday morning, just two days after I called for an estimate, and began work at the neighbor's. They got everything she originally wanted done that day, but she decided to get even more done as the quality of the job and the price were so good. Usman gave her just as a good a price on the additional work as he did on the original estimate. Usman and crew showed up at 7:30 on Thursday to finish her job and to start and finish ours. That morning, the neighbor on the other side (who was going to go with a low estimate he got from some guy who put flyers in our mailboxes the prior week) spoke with Usman and got an estimate. Usman's estimate was higher, but after a bit of haggling, the neighbor got Usman to lower the price (as Usman's trucks, stump grinders, etc. we all here anyhow) and the new job for the second neighbor was scheduled. By the end of a second, very hot, very long day on Thursday (well past 7:00), they were done with us and had already begun work on the third job. They had even worked through a brief torrential downpour that day. His crew was excellent and thoroughly professional. According to Usman, they've been working with him for, if I recall correctly, 8 or 9 years. They're all related... fathers and sons, uncles and nephews, etc. As one ages out, another fills his place. They work seamlessly together, often communicating just with hand gestures and body language (the chainsaws make it a bit hard to communicate verbally). Not a one of them ever seemed to slack off... because their co-workers are family and they're all going home together. Among them are a few tree climbers and then the rest all seem cross-trained to do everything else that's needed. Usman himself was around all day and does more than just supervising... saw him driving the Bobcat, moving trees, etc. Always nice when the boss can actually do the jobs he's got his crew doing. Along with being professional, Usman seems like a really nice guy with a good sense of humor and an easy demeanor. He also cares about his crew. The third neighbor wanted his job done on the 4th of July, but Usman turned down some quick money in order to make sure his group got to enjoy the long holiday weekend. He also makes sure his guys are well fed and well hydrated throughout the day. Usman and his crew took every precaution possible to make sure that damage to the lawn, garden, etc. was as minimal as possible. They used one path between two properties to drive the equipment, Bobcat, stump grinder, etc. through. After the rain, as the ground was soft and wet, they discontinued using the Bobcat and moved the huge logs from the back to the front using a manual device that they physically rolled back and forth. I guess if we didn't want him to use the Bobcat at all (it does tear up the lawn), he would have done so (but the price would have been higher, I'm assuming). They moved my container gardens in the backyard out of the way at the start of the day and moved them all back at the end. In the front, they even dug up a number of plants around two of the pines before taking it down. After it was done and the stumps were ground, they put the plants back in. Even with precautions, though, there's bound to be some damage when huge logs and limbs are falling from the sky. One log rolled onto a plank in the ramp of our shed. They replaced it. While bringing some logs out on the Bobcat, one end got caught on some pickets in the fence and broke them. As these pickets were in the front of the fence and rather visible, his crew took matching weathered pickets from a not visible part of the fence in the back and used them as replacements. They then replaced the pickets in the back with new ones. They did exactly what I, as the homeowner, would do to make the best repairs instead of doing what so many others would have done... just put new (unsightly) pickets in the front where they had originally broken. Out of all three properties and nearly 40 really big trees taken down, these were the only damages that occurred. So... in short.... we had excellent work done at an excellent price. We will definitely hire them again for future tree work.

He listened carefully to our vision, walked about and added further details based upon a wealth of prior experience, knowledge of environmental and regulatory guidelines and an artistic eye. Work visit. The crew of 8 met and walked property for 30 minutes to ensure all were clear on scope of work. Continually stepped back to ensure that wishes of owner were carried out..not just what the climbers wanted. Mr Ahmad's team has been with him for 9 years. They are quick, coordinated and highly skilled. The overarching goal of increasing the beauty of the property was completed flawlessly.

Description Of Work: After finally convincing my husband that the pines in our front yard should be cut down to enhance the growth of grass, I read several reviews on Angie's List. I called Arborex, left a message, and Usman returned my called in a very short period of time. We scheduled an appointment and Usman arrived on time. He was cordial and we were impressed with his overall demeanor. We felt his price was reasonable and actually had approximately fifteen pines limbed, as well as having seven pines cut down. In fact, we were so pleased with Usman and his professional approach that we did not get another estimate, although while working I ALWAYS got three bids. We felt the price was reasonable and thus opted to go with the price quoted. The cost reflected is after a senior discount, as well as a discount for being a member of Angie's List. Usman and his team went above and beyond our expectations. He was prompt and thoughtful in our dealings with him. The pines were rather large trees. All tress were cut, limbs mulched, stumps ground, and all debris hauled away. The driveway was cleaned, debris blown off the street, the hammock was re-hung, and all outdoor tables, chairs, etc., returned to their original location --- after leaves, etc., removed. An example of the work ethic of this team was their determination to finish the job. A storm was approaching and Usman continued to use the remote-controlled stump grinder as the rain was coming down! I wouldn't recommend this, especially since it was lightning, but he continued as his workers waited patiently inside their trucks. The team arrived together and left together. Usman shared with us that he has had the same team (seven men) working with him for nine years. It is obvious he is committed to his crew, takes care of them, and they in turn are dedicated workers. Our neighbors were impressed and shared our opinion that they have never seen men work as fast as this team. They were knowledgeable, each knew their role, and were awesome! Needless to say, if we need a tree service in the future we will call Arborex. Just maybe I can persuade my husband to have more pines cut down. We only have 55 to go!!!! We highly recommend Usman and would use him again without hesitation.

Arborex removed a flowering tree which had branches overhanging my gutters and also removed a large shrub near my driveway. Also, a stump was ground. My flowering tree was surrounded by bushes, and the bushes were not harmed. I am very pleased with the results.

I called three companies from Angie's list and Usman from Arborex answered immediately and offered to come give me an estimate. My schedule is a little crazy so I mentioned the most convenient time for me would be a two hour time slot a week out and he didn't hesitate to say he would be there then. He showed up on time, early really, for the estimate, was friendly, super professional and obviously concerned with making sure he had answered my questions. At this point I still hadn't heard back from the other companies, but no matter. I was so impressed with Usman, I didn't even bother to get other quotes, I hired him on the spot. He scheduled our job and sent me an insurance certificate before they got started. On the day of the job, he and his team showed up at 8 am and got right to work. Everyone was friendly and polite and it was just awesome to watch them work. These men were so clearly experienced, it was like watching a well choreographed ballet. I have never seen such teamwork. When they were done, they cleaned up everything, including some brush that had been left behind by the city when they did the yard waste pick up in the morning. I realize this all sounds a little over the top, but I have hired over twenty different contractors in the last ten years to help update this house and I have never been happier with a job.

Excellent service, great communication. Usman is very professional and courteous. He quickly made an appointment, on the morning of the 9am appointment he called to verify and say he was able to come early. Usman arrived before 8am and gave me a written estimate. I was very pleased with the price. I purchased the Angies Big Deal for $219 ($500 worth of services), the estimate came to $875 total. I only had to pay an additional $375 with the Big Deal credit. Usman was back in fifteen minutes with a crew. He was like Gru and his minions, about seven little guys in yellow T-shirts and hard hats running around and climbing trees. It took about two hours to complete the work and clean up the debris. I could not be happier with the service. Usman was very helpful in suggesting what needed to be done and to make it look right. I would definitely use him again.

Everything went well. Usman called to say he was running late for the estimate through no fault of his own, gave a good price, and scheduled the work within a week. He and his crew showed up on time, got right to work, suggested a few other branches that should be removed, finished and cleaned up quickly and thoroughly. Good job all around.

The team was very complete with their process. Precision was required to remove the tree. They came in and in no time the tree was down and the yard was cleaned up. I highly recommend this company.

I had some sick trees that I wanted to keep and some trees that needed dead branches removed. When the guy came out his only solution to the sick trees issue was to cut them all down, much more expensive - about 800 a tree. I had him trim the tree that needed the top cut off since it had been broken off before I owned the property 3 years ago.(One of the ones he wanted to remove) I felt somewhat trapped to use them since I had already bought the coupon before he came on site. Get estimates before you do this so you know what it should cost. This is one time I didn't heed my own advice. I then went to Bartlett Tree Experts, who treated the 6 trees in the back for rust and told me all the trees would live. So if you want to keep trees that look like they need help, I would call them. They charged me 189 per treatment to treat 6 trees for rust. You need 2 to 3 treatments. In other words, I got to keep my 6 trees for what Arborex was going to charge me to remove one.

It was a Big Deal purchase. They were fine and it worked out well. I was just going to get the large tree in my yard trimmed and then I decided to go ahead and just cut it down and get some other trees trimmed because some of the limbs were hanging on my power line. When I called them, the gentleman was really nice and cordial. We talked and set up the time they had to come out and do the work. He even trimmed a tree that I didn't think he was going to trim but he ended up trimming it. I spent an additional $700. He was very responsive.

Mr. Ahmad provided consultation, expertise in recommendations and together we determined I did not need significant tree removal. However, Mr. Ahmad was most courteous, responsive, helpful and kind. Moreover, Mr. Ahmad has the highest integrity for the provision of services, in this case not overselling and meeting the needs of the customer at the time of service. A true testimony of character in addition to the tree expertise for which he is known. I know who to call when needed. I have referred several neighbors to him for services needed. Thank you.

Arborex contacted me shortly after I had used Angie's List to notify them of my interest in having my very large, old oak trees trimmed for safety reasons. The trees are only 15 ft from my house and overhang our roof, barn, deck, several sheds, and our child's play area. We set up a date for an estimate, at which point I was told the work I wanted done would cost far more than the $500 I had budgeted ($750 minus $250 for Angie's List "Big Deal" = $500 out of pocket). But, they said they would come out and get the highest-priority dead limbs cleaned up and then keep working until they had done $750 of work. When I returned home after the workday, I saw that they had actually ended up doing all of the recommended work, much more than had been promised. They had cleaned up the yard and deck nicely. The trees looked really good, and all the dangerous limbs were gone. I was very happy with the work and will be calling Arborex back when I need work done on the giant oaks in my front yard.

They were prompt with communications and service, offered us a good deal on the work, and did a great job. We would definitely hire them again!
