Arborex Tree Services

went okay.... if I had thought about it while they were here I would have picked up some of the fallen branches from this winter and had them use their big wood chipper to get rid of them for me.

After we had the last rain storm, I noticed a tree in the backyard had a fallen tree limb that was leaning against my house. I immediately looked at Angie's List for someone to come and cut down the limb and possibly trim the remainder of the tree. There was a "deal" for $500 towards tree service with Arborex Tree Services, so I purchased the "deal". That was a Tuesday - Mr. Usman Ahmad immediately contacted me and we discussed the possible dates for his crew to come out and do the work. However, he first wanted to come see what the work would entail. I gave him my address and shortly thereafter he called to tell me that the tree limb I thought had fallen was actually most of the tree itself! There was also a second tree entwined within the first tree that was also leaning and he thought it too should come down at the same time. I mentioned that I had a dead tree that I wanted to have removed and he agreed it too should be removed once he saw its placement. We were scheduled to have more rain, I believe, on Thursday or Friday of this same week and I originally had indicated dates and times for the following Monday and Tuesday. Now you have to realize that these conversations were all being done on the phone as I was at work in Raleigh and Mr. Ahmad was at my home in Durham. He called me, after ascertaining how long it would take to remove my trees, and told me he could do the work this date and have it done in the next two hours. I told him that I would be grateful if he could do that, but reminded him that I was at work, and I could not be there to pay him for his services. He told me to mail him a check! My adult daughter was home from her work so she was able to let Mr. Ahmad and his crew into the back yard to accomplish the work. She told me they were very nice, acted very professional, were in and out before she realized that they were there much less finished, and they didn't hesitate to clean up everything! When we had hard rain again that week, as had been forecasted, I was very grateful that Mr. Ahmad put a priority on removing my trees the very day that he came out to see what was needed to be done. The one tree had been leaning against my roof and I don't know what damage it might have caused if it had not been removed when it was. If I need to have more tree work done, I will definitely contact Mr. Ahmad again.

Scheduling and everything was great. The owner was there and he was a nice guy. It couldn’t have gone any better.

It went well. They came when they said they would and cleaned up all debris.

Arborex was extremely responsive, flexible, and professional. I was unsure of which tress and branches needed to be removed, and they provided helpful consultation and a variety of options for me to choose among. The work itself was delayed by the winter weather, so Arborex took the initiative to contact me to reschedule. The work itself was completed promptly, and Arborex called to verify that I was satisfied with the job. All of my interaction with them were pleasant and professional. I will definitely use this company in the future.

Overall, it went well. The end of February 2015 saw an unusually deep snowfall for my area, leaving behind broken branches and downed trees. On March 9, I placed a request for estimate via Angie?s List to Arborex Tree Services and within two days received an acknowledgement that someone would be calling to set up an appointment to review the work to be done. Mr. Usman Ahmad, the owner of Arborex, called me the first of the following week and came out that afternoon. He was very professional, yet with a pleasant, relaxed demeanor. He knew his trees and his offer on the work to be done was quite fair. He was also honest with me about his current workload, under the circumstances, yet it was only a week later that he arranged to be out that Thursday. And what a production it was! He brought in the heavy artillery along with an army of hard workers, tackling the cutting, clearing, hauling, chipping, and cleanup within two hours, including impromptu work for my next door neighbor. Just watching the speed and accuracy of these fellows fell trees, while heeding safety and property, was amazing. They are professionals all, taking pride in their work.

After two or three unavoidable delays, everything went very well. We were entirely satisfied with the work, withe the efficiency of the crew and with the great attitude of the company's owner.

My contact person was really a very friendly and knowledgeable person. I expected it to be a long wait (because I didn't have any experience with this), and was pleasantly surprised that it was done so quickly, especially not knowing when the next wind storm would hit and potentially hit the house.

Usman was very personable and easy to work with. He offered helpful knowledge of tree health and gave guidance regarding appropriate removal of unhealthy and dead trees. Initial request for service was for removal and stump grinding of one tree but this expanded to include others that needed to be taken out as well. Usman gave a nice discount for all of the work that he did and his team seemed very competent and worked efficiently. He return to take out addition stump quickly when we requested. Very positive experience. Recommend Arborex highly!

Arrived right on time and done in little over an hour. Worked quickly and efficiently. Even ground down an old stump that was not part of quote. Cleaned up and left no debris.

They did great!!! Super professional! On time! The manager of the job had a baby that early morning. He let me know and came later so that he was with his wife. He could have rescheduled me much later than he did. He had told me when he came to look at the tree that he would be there unless his wife went into labor. She did but he still made sure that the job got done. Everything this group did was excellent. I was concerned because the tree was right next to my neighbor's yard but they didn't even get a stick of a limb on the neighbor's property so we all were very happy! They were super efficient with their time. They were extremely neat and clean. I have called him since about another tree and he responded quickly. I have only the best things to say about the job they did at my house and would use them again. This was the first time I had tried an Angie's Special Deal although I have used Angie's List for years to locate good service.

This the second time that we have used Usman and Arborex so that alone should indicate are faith in them and how pleased we are with their service. They showed up at the arranged time and very efficiently completed everything that we had agreed to have done. Everything that was cut was chipped and what mulch I did not decide to keep, they took with them. In addition to cleaning up nicely, they finished the job by power blowing the lawn. Usman is always great to deal with and he has a great crew who are very hard-working and professional. We were as pleased this time as the first time we used them.

The estimate they gave me was almost more than double what I was quoted by someone else, so I requested a refund.

Arborex was knowledgeable, and thorough with his explaining the service. Shortly after meeting with them we got some severe winter weather and that caused a delay also Arborex, got very busy so the service was not done.

A number of limbs were either directly over or growing within power and telephone lines adjacent to my driveway. The workers also had to bring down some large limbs without falling them on an expensive fence. The job was completed in a professional and exacting manner. The work was exceptional and there was no damage to the lines or fence. The clean-up of the fallen limbs was very good. All workers were polite and very efficient. They used a bucket truck and tree climbing methods to accomplish the job. I am very pleased with the job.

I ordered an "Angie's List" coupon from Arborex. It was $250 for $500 services. The owner, Usman Ahmad, was very responsive and professional. He rescheduled once or twice due to other appointments and then there were several times due to the weather. We discussed what I wanted done. Usman was very friendly. As described above for $500 I think I actually ended up getting only $250 worth of services. We've had other tree services performed and I don't think there was any real savings using the coupon - but I shouldn't assume that instead I have to think that Arborex is very expensive. They do a good job. But the service I had done took 2 guys with one chainsaw a total of 40 minutes. That's a very small amount of work for $500. The other tree services we've used in the past were equally professional but not nearly has expensive. Due to that I wouldn't use Arborex again.

I think it was okay. They did what my husband told them but I was expecting to get more advice about tree services. I would have liked for them to say, "This kind of tree is worth keeping "or "We should take this tree out". They just chopped off what they thought was under brush. They didn't do stump grinding. There were no additional charges. I wouldn't call them again or make sure that when they come we communicate our concerns better. The price was good.

They did a great job! Usman and his team where professional in all aspects of the work performed. I will not hesitate to use them again.

The tree fell on a Saturday night and on Sunday we started to search for a tree service company. Usman contacted us very promptly on the Sunday, came to our property to assess the work, and then completed the job the following day. He was incredibly responsive, personable, and professional. His crew were very efficient and left our property in really good shape. They were even able to do a partial repair on our fence to keep the yard secure for our dogs. We were extremely pleased with the work that was done. Arborex really knows the meaning of customer service.

They responded very rapidly and did a thorough and very professional job. The overall experience exceeded my expectations. I hope to have them do more tree work later this year.
