If your home is larger than 2,000 Sq. Ft. and you care about your belongings DO NOT hire these guys! We were told they would help us pack and move. On "packing day" movers, not packers, arrived about two hours later than scheduled, 11 am. They began by throwing our things into boxes, all together, without paper or bubble wrap. We had to ask the men to use packing materials and they would if we were watching, then go back to throwing our things lose together into boxes when we weren't looking. We had to provide markers, they didn't bring any, and asked them to mark the outside of the boxes they were packing. They marked a handful but the rest of our "packed" boxes weren't labeled. We had been told to expect these guys to carefully wrap our furniture. On "loading Day" they started by putting our things into piles, many of which weren't boxed or wrapped, to be loaded into the truck. My husband and I had to pull things out of these piles and ask for things to be boxed or wrapped. There were several of our things we didn't catch before they snatched them up and hauled them out to the truck. These men were setting delicate decor on the floor while moving furniture, leaving pictures on the walls and things in closets. We had only one bedframe to take down and they couldn't do that without my husbands' help. There was complete chaos and disorganization. They were working in all rooms all at once instead of staying and finishing up in one room at a time. If my husband and I hadn't have followed them and stayed right behind them, more things would have been damaged and forgotten. All My Sons claims to be a caring family run business. They do not care and their moving crew is not trained properly to pack nor move your things carefully. They were overwhelmed and improperly trained for the size of our house and the number of possessions we needed to have packed. They are a rinky-**** moving business who are not telling the truth about what they are capable of doing. We are now compiling a list of all the decor and furniture that was damaged. It is a long list. BEWARE, DO NOT HIRE this moving business!! All My Sons is a nightmare!!

Overall it went very smoothly. the movers were very professional and polite. One of them offered to bring my garbage container in from the street. They put the workbench back together and moved it into place. It was a smooth, excellent experience all around. We would definitely hire this company again if we have need of their services.

They were quick to respond to a quote request - however never rec'd the quote in writing as they said they would provide (my bad - lesson learned). There were technically 3 guys and only two working - I know there was an issue at my mom's building but for pete's sake they were in air conditioning anyway and dragged their fannies extensively. I tried to contact via email a couple of times and absolutely no response, even damaged some furniture but will not acknowledge it. They are quick to get funds/ unresponsive when you have a complaint and do not provide quote in writing when you ask. They ended up taking a lot longer trying to charge an old lady on a fixed income, very unprofessional.

SHARE THIS PUBLIC POST to show everyone locally how disgusting and SHADY this company is, how they treat their customers, and how they view women (as people who can be easily taken advantage of with their "generosity" and kindness and their willingness to work under the table for large tips when the reality of it is, they just want cash money at MY expense and the company they work for's expense).

The move out went way too long because they didn't have a truck big enough to move everything. They needed a second truck which confused them to no end. The movers themselves were decent; two were great, two were marginal. The move in was a disaster. Damaged many items, lost pegs and small items for shelving, lost a 7 foot ladder, personnel was shoddy and the customer service personnel were abusive and confused. STAY AWAY from All My Sons.

Took forever to move me.  We're one hour late.  Stole family, irreplaceable jewelery.  Owner did not care.  Reported to police.  I lived in a two bedroom apartment with my son.  Do not have much furniture.  Moved to another apartment about 15 miles away.  Paid way to much.
4 guys moved me.  The head guy kept pulling me off to the side saying he would take care of everything, especially if I treated them all to a nice lunch and tip.  Was very sly and sneaky.  Insisted I not help take boxes down to the truck.  Noticed mucky later he was down at the truck most of the unloading.  Now I know why.  He went rummaging through my things.
When I called the company all he seemed concerned about was me signing a waiver to not sue!
Horrible experience.  I have moved quite a bit by at rosa with no problems.  Should have not listened to another person!!!

Had to come back to put the bed frames back together. All beds. Didn't not attach mirrors to dresser just put it on. Lost all the screws to items. Damaged headboard in 8 places. Damaged dresser. Damaged 12 hardwood floors because did not take the time to put down pads. I could go on but I do not recommend at all.

My husband and I have moved many times, including several international moves, and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had. All My Sons sent an inadequate number of movers for the job, grossly underestimated the time needed, spent 22 hours instead of the scheduled 9 hours to pack and load our belongings, broke or damaged over 30 items during the move, and lost at least 3 separate boxes containing clothing, books, and pantry items.
Our initial interactions with All My Sons actually went relatively smoothly. The guy who came out to give us an estimate seemed thorough and professional, and the estimate (for both packing and moving) came in lower than any of the others we received. The move-out job was estimated to take 9 hours, and I specifically asked whether that included both packing AND loading the truck, and whether we needed to set aside 2 days. I was told that the 9 hours was for both packing and loading.
On the day we were scheduled to move out, a crew of 3 movers showed up and began packing. After a couple hours, it became clear that they were behind schedule, and they started calling the office to request more movers. My husband also called to request more guys, especially as evening came and only one story of our two-story townhome was packed up. We were told that there were no more movers available. The original movers kept packing throughout the night, and the job was not completed until the following morning, almost 22 hours after they had begun.
Not only did this create an extremely stressful situation, but it also meant that we did not have time to clean the house before our buyer did her final walk-through, and it also meant that many of our items were packed extremely poorly, in some cases literally thrown into boxes with no packing paper or packing materials of any kind. This resulted in a very large number of broken and damaged items, as we discovered when we moved into our new house a week later and began unpacking our things.
After 6 days of storing our items, All My Sons came to our new home to unload our belongings and reassemble our furniture. They did send more movers this time, and the job was completed by later that same evening. However, as our furniture was brought in, we noticed scrapes and scratches on a number of pieces that had definitely not been there before. Several smaller bookshelves were cracked and broken. As we opened boxes and began unpacking our belongings, we found many broken items, including a number of irreplaceable things that we had either received as wedding gifts or acquired together overseas.
During previous moves, we have had perhaps 1 or 2 (and in some cases, zero) items damaged. In this move, we had over 30 items damaged. In addition, there was massive evidence of incompetent packing, which was no doubt made worse as the original crew of movers ran out of time and started rushing to complete the job. Many items, including an expensive printer, a small TV, and framed pictures, were put into boxes with literally no paper, bubble wrap, or packing materials of any kind. Fragile items were thrown together, loose and unwrapped, alongside bare screws. My wedding dress and my husband's suits were at the bottom of two different boxes, crumpled beneath clothes, blankets, and shoes, instead of being hung in wardrobe boxes like much of our other clothing.
Most inexplicable is the fact that, after going through all our boxes, we are still missing at least 3 separate groups of items--clothing (including several pairs of expensive designer jeans), an entire bookshelf's worth of children's books (the bookshelf did arrive broken and cracked, but the books are nowhere to be found), and a box of items from our pantry. When we called to ask about the missing items, we were told that there were no boxes of ours left in the warehouse, and that the warehouse manager had personally supervised the unloading and reloading of our crates into and out of the warehouse. They have no explanation for where our missing items might be or how they could have disappeared.
For this move, we went with the standard basic insurance coverage (maximum of 60 cents per pound of damaged/missing items), thinking that our belongings should be safe considering the fact that we were moving only a few miles away and storing our items for only a few days. Now that so many of our items have been damaged or lost/stolen, we will need to submit a claim to recover a little bit of the money we will need to spend in order to repair and replace our belongings. We just discovered that this process will require us to sign a notarized form stating, among other things, that after accepting settlement of our claim, we will not make "verbally or in writing, any negative or derogatory remarks about All My Sons or its employees." This feels manipulative and only adds to the negative experience we have had with All My Sons throughout our moving process.
In conclusion, our experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage was truly terrible, and we would NOT recommend their services to anybody.

It seems like this company has a problem with management, estimators, and the movers being on the same page. My wife just read my review and feels like the estimator promised way more than could be delivered and we got pushed to the back of the line for some reason with the untrained, inexperienced general laborers having to try to make up for his mistakes. But still:  My advise: Don't hire this company.

The movers showed up to our home at least an hour late on days 1 and 2.  On day 3 (unloading day), the movers were supposed to call us at 8 to let us know when they would be here - they called at 10, saying they would meet us at the house at 11:00.   We called the driver at 12:30, but the call went straight to VM.  At 1:00 we called the company office who was able to get a hold of the driver no problem (miracle!)  and the office said the guys were stopping for lunch and would be there by 1:45.  The men pulled up at 2:30, with no apologies and about 5 hours late.
Once they were finished unloading the trucks (cigarettes in hand and dropping F-bombs loudly)  we were asked for a tip.  When I explained that I will not be providing one based on their service, the driver argued about it.  We also had to chase them down after we discovered that one of the guys had "accidentally" kept a Kershaw knife we let him borrow to check box contents during the move.
As we began unpack our boxes we discovered MANY fragile/valuable items were packed unsafely, TONS of items were packed in the wrong boxes and since NONE of the boxes were labeled AT ALL, this has made unpacking a total nightmare. We had to put many items in storage with this move, and I made a point to meticulously label all items in the house that were to be put in boxes or wrapped for storage.  Despite clearly labeled items and us explaining this to the men, all of this information was ignored, and items that were not supposed to be stored were in boxes with storage items and vice versa.
All of these issue could have been overlooked with a roll of the eyes and a comment that moving is a nightmare...until we discovered that many items were stolen from us prior to unloading.  So far we have discovered that my husband's dart board was stolen, along with 2 sets of darts.  We know they were not  simply "mispacked" because the thief had to get into a metal box that stored the darts and took 7 of the 12 darts & the dart board.   We are also missing a stereo & speakers.
My professional set of Calphalon pots and pans were also taken, not sure why they would want them I can't imagine they are worth much used...but having to replace them will cost at least $1000.  We are still unpacking and hope this is the worst of it.
We are reaching out to the management office tomorrow to seek resolution and I will update this review once we find out what they plan to do rectify the mess we are dealing with.
Needless to say I feel violated that a company we trusted to help us with one of life's most stressful events made it a horrific experience for us.  We selected this company because they are a family company and endorsed by UNC, I'm really disappointed in our experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage, Raleigh NC

UPDATE:  We found out what happened to our items and reached an agreement with the management.  Management advised that 2 of their movers stated the items taken from our home were gifted to them by us and they no longer had the items in their possession.  While this is NOT what happened (We had no idea that one of our stereos had been taken until the mover told his boss we had given it to him!);  I have changed my grade for "responsiveness" based on management's willingness to provide us the reasonable replacement fee for the items taken from our home.  We received the check in the mail yesterday.  While we would not use or recommend All My Sons Moving and Storage, Raleigh NC, I am thankful that the management was willing to offer an amicable resolution without a lot of discord.

Kareem and his crew did an amazing job and made this stressful move go very smoothly for me.  They are skilled, cheerful, and fast, but not too fast as they were very careful with all my things. They were great with the unloading and helped me get everything placed properly.

This company is very straightforward with their pricing and does not add on a lot of extras. Their estimate beat the two others that I received for the move. They use smaller trucks and in most cases, I believe, only your things are loaded on it.

I definitely recommend them, but must add that their office personnel are very rude and not helpful at all. I was quite worried as my moving date approached because I had not been able to get questions answered or any type of reassurance that things would go as I expected. Thankfully, it all did go very well.

After getting very positive references from three neighbors in my new community, we chose All My Sons. Our move from a 3,600 sq. ft. house to a 2,400 sq. ft. house included quite a bit of high-quality furniture, a washer and dryer, and some large flat-panel TVs. The crew was very experienced and careful. The Raleigh office called us several times before and during the move to ensure that we were happy with all of the services, and they were great to work with in all aspects. All My Sons was incredibly focused on customer service. Their price was great also. We strongly recommend All My Sons.

The move was fantastic. The crew worked from 8:30am until 4:15pm, disassembling and reassembling all of our beds, carefully wrapping all fragile items, and even stretch-wrapping things like rolling wire shelves in the garage and all of the dressers so that we didn't have to remove items and box them up. The crew was fast, efficient, and cheerful and was willing to accommodate the fact that we were still packing boxes while they were loading the truck, ensuring everything was loaded.
In addition, they came out prior to appraise the move and gave us a "maximum cost" guarantee. The team came in $50 under the maximum.
A friend referred them to me after a similar move and I would highly recommend All My Sons to anyone who is moving.

They were horrible! They showed up to move my apartment at 10:00PM @ night. They told me it would be late day but I did not think it would be 10:00 @ night. They blew me off the whole day tellign me they would be there soon but never did I imagine it would be 10:00 PM. They moved us into our new house kind of fast everything was done by about 12:00AM. I would not recommend!

They came on time with three movers. I only expected two and only paid for two. They were efficient and careful with my items. They have already contacted me to survey customer satisfaction. Cost came in at the estimate. Unfortunately they left behind a couple of items. Their cost was a little high for such a small job but they have earned a good reputation and I felt comfortable using their service. I would use them again.
