Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning

NOTE: This is the home office address. the office i used was in Shallotte, NC {Brunswick Co}
all went great. they installed our heat pump a few yrs ago in our beach cottage. Angela, the office mgr, is such a delite to talk to. she can answer any questions i have. the techs are always professional but personable as well. i have no complaints. will always use them.

He came out and we had no problems.

It worked out fine.  It was a little bit expensive than what I anticipated.  It turned out to be more and more expensive but they did a great work.  We just ended up with a pretty expensive units, I guess. They were fine and good.  The best part is the quality and the worst part is the expense.

They did not show up today due to them being too busy.

It's been a week and still haven't heard from them.

I purchased a Groupon deal for 3 Furnace/Heat Pump tune-ups for 3 of my rental properties with Aire Serv of Eastern Wake County and a technician came out on 10/13/14 to service the furnace.  I met the technician as we didn't have a tenant in the unit and he stayed for about 10-15 minutes to clean and check the unit.  We had a tenant move in on 11/13/2014 and a day after he moved in, I got a call from him that the furnace wasn't working and that it was all gunked up with dirt and garbage.  We called Aire Serv and they sent someone out who cleaned the unit again and said that he may have to replace a part if the problem wasn't resolved.  It turned out that they did need to replace a fan.  When I spoke with the owner, concerned that the original technician didn't do a good job cleaning the unit, he claimed that the gunk and trash found in the unit must have gotten there during the month between the cleaning and when they came out a second time.  I explained to him that the unit had been empty and the furnace had been off, but he insisted that the original technician wouldn't have left it that way.  I certainly won't be using this contractor again and have cancelled my other Groupon vouchers!

The HVAC service was great, I guess. October 2, I purchased a plumbing check through Angie's List and was never contacted by the provider to confirm appointment.
October 16, contacted provider to find out they never received notification from Angie's List of the purchase. I clearly explained that I'd purchased a plumbing system check and the Aire Serv rep said she would check their Angie's List account for the purchase and schedule the appointment with the person at the home. October 26, Aire Serv sent out an HVAC technician to do a system check.
November 4-5, spoke with Aire Serv only to find out that they wanted me to pay again for them to perform the service I originally purchased. Aire Serv owner stated that the there was a miscommunication on my part as I should have clearly stated (I did clearly state that I had purchased a plumbing system check as there was no specific problem to speak of) what the problem was in order for them to send the correct tech. I thought that was what the coupon was supposed to communicate. It was a plumbing system check. 
Owner was indifferent about taking any responsibility for the "miscommunication" and the fact that I had spent money because Aire Serv doesn't get any of the money.
Still have to find a plumber.

Brantley was awesome.  He called to inform me that he was on the way, arrived on time, was very professional and polite, and went out of his way to give advice on different plumbing issues.  They honored my Angieslist coupon.  I would definitely use this company again.

It was a great experience and I was very satisfied with everything. The technician was very knowledgeable and explained things to me that I could understand. We have scheduled them to come back out in January to install a UV light and a whole house filter. My husband and children have allergies and these items will help improve the air in our home. I was really impressed with the service and the information. Aire Serv will be our heating and air company as long as we live here.

Went well overall.  My appt happened to fall during the first hot weather of the year and they had a lot of emergency no A/C calls, so they needed to reschedule me twice.  While that was an inconvenience,  they did get here on Saturday of the same week and the technician was very good.  What I learned from the rescheduled appts is to make sure next year I book the appt a little eariier in the season, which normally I do. Was just running a bit late this year!  Despite this small glitch, overall I was happy with their service.

I don't usually write negative reviews, but the guys at Aire Serve are crooks, plain and simple. According to the tecnician who came out to look at my unit, my reversal valve was bad and it would cost $1700 to replace. I was a little skeptical, so I waited until my brother (who happens to be a certified electrician/HVAC specialist) came down from WI to visit a few weeks later. He checked out my entire unit, including the reversal valve, and said there was absolutely nothing wrong. And he was right - been running my regular heat ever since and haven't had one problem - auxiliary heat works the way it should. 
My advice - stay away from Aire Serve ( and other national franchise companies like them) and hire a local/privately owned HVAC company. In my experience, local guys tend to be more straight forward and honest - often times they're more affordable, too. I hope this review saves some folks from getting ripped off.

In the dead of summer, our A/C unit quit. There was an issue with a capacitor in our unit that continued to blow out.  We had called another A/C company for several years who replaced that capacitor 2-3 times a year to keep the unit functioning.  We had another issue with the attic unit not draining properly and the drip pan kept filling up.  The other company kept coming out to fix things but always ?recommended? installing a new A/C system.  At one point, they insisted that the system would not last another 6 months (that was two years ago).
I decided to call Aire Serv last year and give up with the old company.  Aire Serv was quick, prompt, and honest about their serve and their work.  They fixed the capacitor problem (haven?t had it blow out since) and fixed the drainage problem in the attic.  When I asked the technician about whether or not I should consider a new system, he told me that our current system would last another several years as long as we continued to take care of it and have proper maintenance.  This is the kind of honesty I expect out of a provider.  They are in the business to serve the customers? interests, and not try to soak you for more money.
I?m very happy with Aire Serv and will not be going back to our old provider.

The price was very reasonable. They were punctual. They were professional and seemed knowledgeable.

I originally called Aire Serv to come out to do a regular checkup of my A/C unit. I already knew of the problem of the coil when Aire Serv came to my house and as expected the technician told me that the coil had to be replaced. The quote they gave me was around $1100 for parts and labor. The quote did not include re-filling the system with coolant.  I accepted
since this quote was around $300 less than what my previous A/C company had quoted me.
They came out a week later or so to replace the coil. The tech came on time and started the work. After several hours a second tech came out and assisted him. I suspect that that the first tech ran into trouble and called the second to help him out. After 5-6 hours or so they were ready and had everything tested out. The system ran just fine and cooled well throughout the summer/early fall period.
I did sign up with Aire Serv to let them to regular maintenance twice a year. I only have good experiences with them, both when it comes to booking/canceling appointments and service performed

It went great and I had no bad experience

I recently moved to a house with gas logs and had no idea if they worked or not and I wanted to make sure they would be safe to use. I called Aire Serv and they came out to check out the logs. They found that the office was stopped up and the pilot assembly needed to be changed. They luckily had the part on the truck and had them working safely.

I called this company when I came home from work to find my house was freezing. They came out quickly and found that my condenser fan motor had failed as well as a capacitor. He showed me the price of the repairs in his book and after I accepted the repairs he had me up and going in no time. He cleaned up and was gone before I had to start dinner. I hope I don't need their service anytime soon but when I do I will definitely call Aire Serv again.

the company called me before they came to confirm the time. they looked very professional came out found the problem quickly gave me some option to repair or replace. they fixed the unit the sameday I would recommend this compant to my  friends and family.

They did a great job at a great price, and the workmen were very friendly.  My only complaint is that they didn't follow up on a request I made for an estimate regarding heating and air conditioning on our second story.

The gentleman was very nice, but he said that we would need a new unit after he attempted to add some Freon which he claimed didn't help.  Thus, I had another technician from another firm come to the house. He inspected the unit and wasn't able to find anything wrong, so he worked with the thermostat which caused the air to return.

All was done exactly as described and on schedule.

It was easy to work with them, and they did a good job.  The air conditioner is still functioning well.
