Aaron failed to apply for a septic permit or locate the septic lines. Even, after digging through septic gravel, Aarons guys kept digging until they tore the septic line apart. We have no deck or way out if our backdoor because they demolished the old one. Aaron has left us without a way out of our back door, kept our $9090 down payment, did not pay the septic company that the county ordered him to hire for repair, and now , he had a bankruptcy attorney tell us that he is untouchable. Aaron is going around and picking up other jobs as I type this. Also, the Rolesville city manager signed a letter against Aaron for his neglegience. Aaron kept monies from another unfinished project in New Hill, NC. $120,000 of the property owners and $47,000 of that same septic guys money who was hired by Aaron to fix our problem.
Description of Work: We hired Aaron Fitzgerald, owner of Aaron Fitz Construction, to do an addition to the back of our house.

Aaron met with us in the beginning and provided us with a quote for the project, which included all service for all subcontractors. That is where the professionalism and promptness ended. After he received the initial check to start the work, his team rarely showed up when they were suppose to. His site project lead never came when expected, and when he did show up, he never fully described to his subs what needed to be done. We had to project manage this project ourselves. Remodeling is not new to us. We understand that remodeling is difficult and timing of subcontractors can be difficult, but when you have 3 weeks to complete a bathroom remodel, with all of the product already on site (except for the misquote of tile, which his sub contractor estimated), took 8 weeks, that is a bit ridiculous. His painters never used drop cloths, his sheet rockers and trim guys gouged our tub, and we had to fish out all kind of debris from the tub drain. Throughout the process, their teams did not clean up after themselves and, at one time, we had so much dust throughout the house, he had to have a crew come in here because we could no longer live in the house. Throughout this process, you would think that Aaron would have called or come by to speak with us, but he never did. He just sent another site lead to try to calm us down or keep us happy. Well, it didn't. He actually had the guts to have her approach us to speak with us about doing our next bathroom remodel. We couldn't believe it. His painters were incompetent and rude, his electrician refused to do some work, but Aaron forced it to do it. He would come and go without ever saying a word to us, like he was upset about being there. His plumber was the only saving grace. Aaron's new and older site leader told us that he was trying to grow his business, but that it was overwhelming him and that is why we were having problems. If that were the case, having an actual conversation with Aaron or a visit from him would have made us understand the situation. However, that never happened. It is unfortunate. I have never written a poor rating on anyone, EVER!! So, it took a lot for me to get on the computer and let everyone know to be careful about using Aaron Fitz in the future.
Description of Work: Aaron Fitz Construction was the general contractor for a complete remodel of our bathroom. They managed all subcontractors for work performed throughout the project.

Contractor was discharged just prior to electrical rough-out for failing to manage the project in any capacity. This included not ordering the new windows for weeks after the start (thus delaying the framing), delays in obtaining the load capacity from HVAC operator, ordering the wrong size, amount, type of access doors, failing to coordinate work between sub-contractors, slovenly and sub-standard work by sub-contractors which required repairs and/or replacement.
Description of Work: Attic Refinishing originally to include framing, flooring, sheet rock, Electric (9 can lights, 2 fans), HVAC, Built in Closet, 2 new windows, 3 window sash replacements, knee wall space access doors, insulation, closet, and mechanical.
