A & T Well and Pump

My well pump died on me on a Sunday afternoon. Monday called A&T who arrived earlier than expected however I was charged a flat $4000 replacement when the Googled average cost states between $1000 and $2750. I feel I was over charged when they knew I was desperate to have water.

Mr. Jonathan Tyler Nichols is the owner/principal of A & T Well and Pump, Raleigh, NC. Two of his employees arrived 45 minutes late and determined that an elbow joint had to be replaced. This repair costs about $296 and I was charged $550 without these two employees consulting with the owner or giving me an opportunity to speak with the owner myself about this charge. When I contacted Mr. Nichols he asked me what a fair refund would be and I stated $250; Mr. Nichols Stated he would put the refund in the mail which I never received. 1 week later I called Mr. Nichols who stated he had put the check in the mail last week; I called again two weeks later and he said he was on vacation, another week then he was not in the Office, then another week he had his kids with him, the following week I offered to drop by his place of business located at 1413 Woodline Dr, Raleigh, NC 27603-8756 to pick up the refund and he refused. Mr. Nichols tendered my $550 check, conducts his business in an unethical manner, lacks The Integrity required to do so, and has no regard for the customer. I do not recommend this business.

Outstanding service. A&T was fast to respond and was on-site, on time. The crew was fully prepared to deal with the issue and had the pump replaced quickly. They were respectful, kept the site clean and even jumped in to do some emergency repair work. Their prices were more than fair given the situation. Will certainly look to A&T in the future for installation, repair and professional services.
