It went well, but he could not fix my problem due to it being still under warranty. He was not authorized to do warranty work on this unit. He advised me how to get it taken care of. I called the warranty co. and got it fixed. This man was a great help. It was worth the $60 for the system check and advice. I'm a first time home owner. Glad not to be taken vantage of. He was professional. I learned a lot.

They are actually a good little company. They are a small little business but the guy always tries to find a solution that doesn't cost as much. It is just his way. I have used them to do maintenance on the system before. I think they might have found a bolt that was loose and they fixed that too while they were there. I've never had anything but good things to say about them. I think their price is completely fair. They are completely responsive. If you call them they will call you back the same day. They were punctual and showed up right when they said they were going to show up.

The father son team came out to service our 19 year old A/C unit. I thought we needed to replace it, but they fixed without an issue. It was a valve that needed replacing. They felt the unit could go a few more years. There honesty and integrity was unmatched!

Rockfish Heating And Air Conditioning were very quick, they respond fast. Every time he does work for us he fixes things and they work. We have long-haired German Shepherds and one of the filters got clogged up with hair. He told us it would cost $400 to fix but he had to crawl under the house and get the tubing out. He doesn't tell us to replace things which don't need replacing because he can fix them.

He does a great job fitting me in because my air does not go out on scheduled time. He has always fixed things for me and has done it at a reasonable price. He can tell me where he thinks my unit stands and what he foresees in the future being a problem with it. I like him, he has been great.

Nick was very professional and took the time to explain why he was having to do all that he did. I could have been taken for a lot of money because I know nothing about heating and air. I highly recommend this company, and am planning on using them again in the near future.

I called this company first thing this morning and left a message requesting same day service because my A/C had stopped working. Nick promptly called me back in less than 5 minutes and said he could be there around lunch time. He showed up when he told us he would and was very polite and explained the fix and problem to my mother (because I was out of town) . He worked very quickly and even took the the time after he finished to explain everything to me over the phone. I would recommend him to anyone and I'am glad to deal with such a true professional!

I had a different company come out 2x to try and fix my downstairs air, when I called a 3rd time he said as far as he could tell my unit was fine and I would need to try someone else. So I called Rockfish AC, and explained my problems. Rockfish told me that my unit probably needed cleaning, and they would check the coolant levels. They had an appointment for me the next day, they were on time and found the units (upstairs and down) both dirty. While checking the system under the house he found that I have an Apollo system and showed me how to turn off the heating feature - which had been competing with the cooling system. I am SO happy to report the house is cooling off and now that I am only cooling rather than heating and cooling I expect my utility bills to go down.

Called the day prior because the outside connection to the a/c was iced over. Told us to shut down a/c for a while to let it thaw and then to cut it back on. Was no problem because it was not that hot that day and a/c was working OK for the rest of the evening. Told us they would come early next morning to look at it. Both father and son came, as usual very punctual. Went right to work and found the problem pretty fast which was a Freon leak on the outside unit. Explained everything as they worked on it and after they were done. They had to use garden hose to wash off some dirt, made sure that the hose was not laying on any of our flowers or plants, truly appreciated that. They are always friendly, punctual, professional and clean up after themselves. They do not try to talk you into buying or fixing things that are not needed. Great company, will continue to call them if needed.

Condensing unit died around noon on Friday July 23, 2010 (one of the hottest days of the year). Rockfish Hand AC was called and promised to be here in an hour: he was. Mr. Counts gave an honest assessment of the situation that included need-to-know information about compatibility of different systems (Trane vs. Carrier) and cost and quality differences associated with each. After my decision was made Mr. Counts called vendors for unit availability and let me know that a unit was available and could be installed the next day (Saturday). At 9:00 on Saturday morning Mr. Counts and another experienced gentlemen arrived and by 10:30 a.m. the old system was out and the new system was being tested. By 11:00 Mr. Counts and I were discussing warranty questions and my house was cooling down nicely. The concerns I had included two people, two cats, a very furry toy dog and a 75-gallon aquarium - none of whom or which I could put up in a hotel. The rapid turnaround of Mr. Counts from beginning to end was something that sold me on his company as the only one I will use and one that I will recommend without hesitation. Called him while he was out of state on personal matter. He returned the call and came to see my concern the very next day which was a Sunday. He spent about an hour and checked the unit inside and out and provided information regarding the nature of the concern. He also provided good advice and was very honest about the aging system. I felt the prices were reasonable considering it was a weekend service call. Carl was very professional and was very personable. I will continue to use this business and would recommend without hesitation.

2 days ago the ac unit in the bonus room was not blowing out cold air. Called this company in the morning but got no answer. Called another company that was willing to squeeze me in. Right before lunch rockfish called back and told me he had just came back to town due to holiday. Since we had already good experience with these guys I told him that I already called somebody else and that I was sorry. But the situation upstairs got worse so I called him back and asked him how fast he could come by even though he had just come back to town. He said 30 minutes cause they have their business in Raeford and that is very close to where we live. He was very punctual and within not even 20 minutes he had the problem fixed. Checked for possible water blockage upstairs but there was none.Again I was very happy about the manner in which he handled himself and the accurate -no dragging- out service that we received. He always answered my questions no matter if they have been asked before and is always friendly and helpful. I called and canceled the other company which was a company that I had found on this list. They were very nice and understanding. Anyway I am sure we will continue to use Rockfish.

When we moved into our new home we found red particles all over the house. We were afraid that it was red fiberglass insulation from the main duct filter and pipes that were layered with fiberglass. We thought that the fiberglass had passed into the air filter and would make us sick. Not trusting the home builders with cheap material we hired this company to replace the filter and ducts with the metall ones, eliminating most of the fiberglass issues in the main air duct. Father and son both came and another helper and they went straight to work. Did not once complain about the heat in the attic, working non stop other than for well deserved lunch. Explained what they did, showed old pieces and showed what the new pieces looked like. Cleaned up after themselves and were very knowledgeable.Friendly and stuck to their time table, always calling before coming by or if they had to change anything. Had all the pieces required, worked with no delay.

After we had moved into our new home this company had cleaned our ac/heating units and we asked if they knew what kind of digital thermostat could be used to replace the old mercury ones. He checked and had 2 and charged us only for the parts and put them in. Mainly because he had just been to our house yesterday. Again we were happy with the results. He answered questions and was friendly and very professional.
