!!Hunter and his crew are the best!!  He was very professional and patient with us.  The finished product is beautiful and every thing we had hoped for.  Any future projects needing stone projects will definitely be done by him!!

Overall very pleased with the work and price. Hunter Redford was professional and competitive. They lowered their price slightly to match another bid that I had received. I chose Hunter Redford as they impressed me as being more professional. Fortunately, they had a large selection of remnants in the granite that we desired. They took all the time necessary to answer all of our questions, help us make our selections and finalize the transaction. They completed the installation on the date agreed upon. That alone is unusual for contractors in this area! I was a bit nervous about them installing the sinks and granite when I was unable to be present. Unfortunately, I was pressed for time and had no choice. I need not have worried as they did an excellent job. The bathroom counters look good. The only thing that I would have changed would have been to install two centimeter back-splashes. They used 3 centimeters; the same as the countertops. I expected 2 centimeterd from past experiences with granite countertops. This looks too thick for my tastes. Perhaps this is the standard for this area. I did not ask, however, so I guess that is my fault. I thought that I had selected a standard pencil edge for the granite. What I received was more of a slightly rounded squared off edge. This was not what I had expected but was not that big of a deal. If you have concerns, ask to see examples of their edges. Be clear in your requirements!
I have since contacted them about new countertops for my kitchen. They now have a $300.00 surcharges for fuel/delivery to my area. They are on the mainland and I am on the south end of Hatteras Island. While that is about 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive one way, it seems a bit excessive to me when paying thousands for countertops. Perhaps I am being picky as they do need to go back and forth two times in order to template and install. That would be a total of eight hours of driving for the job.

My experience was a pleasant one, Very happy with my counter tops!!
