"Thanks [Member Name Removed] for the review for your Kitchen Project performed in 2014 (October 7) that included a dedicated microwave outlet, demolition of three outlets and reconnect circuits, moving thermostats and light switch extension, refrigerator outlet, and relocating a counter outlet and over circuit. I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the canned light installation, and I wish you would have brought this to our attention in 2014 when the project was completed. Now why am I so enthusiastic?
Remember the derecho in July of 2012?---I lost power with everyone else in Frederick county---My generator came on and ran for 8 hours before stopping with error messages. I had a Generac repair service with a service contract---I called ---very busy ---3 months later could come out. Just a fuse --a few weeks ---error messages --Just a fuse ---ran a few weeks , battery is melted--YES melted, as in puddle of plastic--need new battery--we will replace its controller board ---ran a few weeks --battery dead and fuse blown- diagnostic is you have too many amps coming in your electric service ---Call power company ---6 months to monitor line to tell me line is fine ---no problems on our end---call generator service --we are busy can't be out for at least 2 months ---Frederick home show--another company --Told problem---Yes, sounds like X --OK come out and fix it---Nothing wrong except battery dead--Repeat 2 times---In between diagnostic by myself --will drain a new battery in 2 weeks and ---last visit nothing wrong electronically ( From previous no rain visit) previous visit so its your trickle charger cable ---but cannot look at it because it is drizzling (Still service charge though stood on porch and talked)--Will order part and schedule repair---4 weeks later ---what is status ---OH you need an electrician to do this ---we cannot do this ---can you recommend one--need tyo call back ---silence!!!
So call Bear Rock after much trepidation and waffling Angie's list gernerac service providers --courteous service ---asked about problem---appointment when I could be home not their time ---snowing and nasty outside---brought own battery (no one did that before!) and tested --this is most likely issue--transformer --but may also be the trickle charger unit, but lets wait to buy it--not cable ---Before left had a cost , part ordered, paid in full---4 days later part in (not weeks) ---we can install without you being home if you want. Was home anyway--Raining , cold, nasty---on time --30 minutes later starts up --trickle charger unit OK. Tom--showed replaced transformer --a broken terminal to the trickle charger--Could cause everything seen since JULY 2012!!! as it got worse ! Now I am cautious --set exerciser and waited 4 weeks before telling my story ----Its still going strong! No dead batteries and it actually runs quieter ????? How'd that happen?
I am very happy and Bear Rock is now number one on my list for electrical and generator service.

There was a problem with the information that I got from Home Depot .The outlet he installed was the wrong one.The plug was needed to see which outlet box was to be installed.He used the one he thought was the most common for dryers.Without the actual plug
he had no way of knowing that it was not the right one.Another tech. came this morning and still had to go get the correct outlet.
He said there are about 10 different outlets for dryers.Amana or Home Depot needs to give information on plugs when you buy a new dryer.They were so nice.Not their fault or my fault.Dryer is working now.

I wish I remembered the electrician's name that came out. He was patient and very informative.
He accomplished the above tasks. The most challenging one was #4. He had to go into our attic, in a very confined space, to rewire and separate the ceiling fan and the light switch. I wanted to write this review now that they are on Angie's list.
I have more work for them and will be writing another review when that job is completed.

working on my home. They have serviced my equipment, taken lots of time to make sure I understand
all the components to the system and how to monitor and test. Their pricing is very competetive and
they are responsive to both email and telephone contacts.
I am so happy with them that I have also used them to perform routine and non routine electrical work
in the house. Again, I just can't gush enough. They found a problem that had been missed by others,
problems that almost left me thinking I was the one with and quot;issuesand quot;! I was relieved to hear I was sane, that the
problem existed and better yet resolved.
They also took the time to evaulate the electrical system in my 30+ year old house. No sales pitch,
no looking for problems that didn't exist (enough real ones!) just an honest evaluation of an aging
house.
I recommend them without reservation.

The electrician sent out, Chris, is very helpful in explaining what he is doing, what can be done to fix the problem, and alternatives that are possible. The helper/apprentice earned his pay running up and down the stairs as Chris cut each breaker on and off.
This time we used them to trace the electric in the house, our panel is original and over the years it looks like the previous owners were 'do-it-yourself' types. The day started well, as Chris and his helper were on-time and they immediately got to work.
There were numerous issues discovered, the worst of which is that someone cut/removed the busbars from the back of the panel on the lower section. This isn't something that would be readily apparent to the layman as it isn't visible.
