Joe is a nice guy. We just moved into PIttsboro and he was genuine in his welcome to his own home town. That being said I am sorry I hired Joe. His work was overall good but if you expect attention to detail or any small issues figured out and corrected you ain't getting it here. Joe was all about getting the job done and leaving the punch list for someone else. Once paid he will not return phone calls or text or make good on any of the promises he made. Too bad because he seemed like someone who's number I could keep for future business.

"John was a very nice guy to work for and I thought he was happy with his floor. There were a couple of issues that needed taken care of and I sent my employee down to fix them after he had paid us in full. However he had been traveling from back and fourth from up north and he texted me about some touch up that still needed to be addressed in front of his fireplace. I told him that we could come back down and fix it when he got back into town since the lock box was no longer on the house. He then told me that he would let me know when he was back. After that we were busy on other jobs and somewhere between all of that I did not respond to his next text messages about wanting additional work done on his house, I did however try calling him a couple of times and just figured he was still out of town. I am not saying I wasn't at fault the truth is I forgot all about it as time passed by do to it being the peak of the season. I did however apologize to him and let him know that I would be happy to take care of any issues now. That is the best I can do at this point, I do my best to take care of all of my customers promptly unfortunately I did not do this with John but it was not intentional."

I hired Joe because of all of the good reviews. I do not know what happened at my home. I wonder if it was even the same guy. He did communicate well and showed up when he said he would. The wood he installed looked fine. When it came to finishing the job with molding and trim....it was really poor quality. He didn't caulk the molding. He left big gaps in it and he absolutely refused to paint it! He charged me 5530.00 to install about 900 sq.ft of hardwood that I supplied and 85 feet of tile that I supplied. He also redid the treads on our steps. The risers were painted white and when he stained the treads, he didn't cover the risers with anything to protect them. So when he finished, my white treads had stain all over them. I had to pay someone else to caulk and paint them to complete the job. Which cost me an additional 400.00. When I was cleaning up the mess, and looked closely, there are gaps in the wood where the treads meet the sides and the molding doesn't cover the gap. I deducted 200.00 from his final payment because of the poor quality. I wish I had never hired him and would definitely not recommend him to anyone else.

"I believe I was more than fare with Bonnie she asked me to quote this job so she could save money by doing some things herself so I did, her complaints about the gaps in the floor are due to the fact that she spent .89 cents on a floor that normally cost 3.40 to 4.50 a sqft so the mill was horrible but I did not charge her for the extra time I spent sorting through the wood for better pieces which was a day or for the prep work that I had to do even though I did not charge the prep which was a savings of 750.00. In my contract it specifically said to cut and hang base and shoe molding, Not paint I do my best to keep all my customers happy but I cannot due work for free and sometimes people aren't happy unless they feel they got something for free As far as the risers are concerned another area that was not prepped when removing old and installing new stair treads there is always painting that needs to been done afterward which she was aware of also."

Joe did an outstanding job and was on time when promised. The flooring looks great. I had prefinished hardwood installed and he matched the stain of the shoe moulding and moulding he made for two doorways to the prefinished hardwood.

We hired Joe to install approx 500 sq ft of 3/4" pre-finished hardwood flooring , custom oak stair treads , base and shoe molding. Joe and his associate did a great job. The work was done in a reasonable time frame and I would definitely recommend them to others. We will hire Joe again as the need arises.

Joe and his company were very quick and thorough in providing an estimate for the work needed. Once contracted, the work was completed in the timeframe agreed upon and the quality of the final product was excellent. A true measure of a company's work product is whether we would use them again and recommend to friends...in the case of Creative Hardwood Floors, we definitely would use them and recommend to others without hesitation.
