Don't confuse longevity with professionalism and quality standards. Tile Collection floundered with a simple bathroom renovation. General Manager, Senior Designer, Ops Manager, Project Supervisor are deficient in recording detail resulting in CONTINUED DISRUPTIONS, NUMEROUS ERRORS, VISIBLE SUBSTANDARD RESULTS (attached). The standard response from each being. "I forgot". Company provided a lockbox yet the tech LEFT MY DOOR UNLOCKED after a day's work. Workers DAMAGED MY VANITY. I proposed a cash setllement, percentage of balance due, for acceptance of the shoddy work respectfully allowing the owner's discretion to repair. Owner professes to stand behind his company’s work at while demanding the customer's time. Yielding to owner's decision, a second tech reviewed for repair, excusing the damage as due to the tool making the cut. VP of Ops mumbled "defect". Then writes "imperfection" in his follow up correspondence. Hmmm... imperfections vs defects vs damage; not the same. Skilled craftsmen know how to use their tools, period. In the end, Tile Collection refused to repair reverting to my proposal. A circus indeed! Boasts of being a woman-owned company yet no respect for my home or professional time. Brace yourself for a bumpy ride with this company. Be on call to serve. Take your own notes. .This is the second time we have used The Tile Collection. After living in our home for two years, it was time to update the1996  kitchen.  We worked with Chrissy again, as my wife and I are very picky....I MEAN VERY PICKY. 
Everyone in this company is very nice and very professional.  They delivered as promised and made this job happen with little to no disruption of our house.
We were so confident that we did not even get a second opinion or price.  As a contractor from Los Angeles, I didn't feel that I needed to shop them.  I was right.....they are great. 
Chrissy is a sweetheart and knows what looks good in your house and doesn't try to up-sell you.  Trust her recommendations.

They are very polite and just want to please. He is fantastic. Everyone of them are unbelievable. They stay on target with you. They keep on schedule. They were just great in everyone. In overall they are excellent and i would use them again in future. They have excellent services.

It is a local Charlotte company. They were fantastic. I will be using them again in February.

We have been Tile Collection customers for 25 years. They’ve done our kitchen floors, granite counters in the kitchen and bar and a complete redo of our powder room. They were our first choice when we decided to do a master bath remodel.The job involved a tear out of the existing bath down to the studs. A new heated tile floor was installed along with a tile wainscot, a custom vanity and a custom, frameless shower enclosure. New fixtures and paint completed the job.
Tile Collection’s bid was competitive and although their original 7 and frac12; week schedule seemed long to us we gave them the order. The original schedule was revised after the first week’s work as the 2 man tile team was replaced by one man. In the end various other problems and delays stretched the completion date to 10 weeks. Although we had many issues with the way the job was managed we were very pleased with the finished product. About 4 months later several of the floor tiles began to develop a stain near the grout lines We tried all the usual cleaning methods with no luck and emailed Tile Collection asking if they, as tile experts could offer some advice on how to clean the stain. Our contact responded quickly that she would get with the project manager and get back to us. We never heard from them again. I would only be speculating as to why they chose not to respond. FYI - we found that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and a little elbow grease did the job. With all of that in mind I’ll offer my review and grades.
PROS:
*The in store designer/consultant , Teresa in our case, was professional and knowledgeable. She steered us in the right direction on any number of design choices, was helpful and responsive.
*The professional connections, for example with Ferguson for top grade fixtures, are excellent .
*The sub-contractors used are clean and professional. We never had any hesitation or issues with any of them being in our home.
*They are very good at their core competencies, tile and countertop surfaces.
CONS:
*Management of the process was poor. Delays, understandable in many cases, were responded to by pushing the work schedule back instead of attempting to make up time. On many occasions contractors came to the house with a limited or even incorrect understanding of what needed to be done.
*Communications by the project manager were poor. In fact, he rarely communicated at all unless we asked questions.
*Customer service after the fact was non- existent for us.
I would not hesitate to recommend Tile Collection for the installation of tile or for a new countertop; in other words as a sub contractor to a well managed project. Unfortunately, at least in our case, they just aren’t very good at the overall management of an expensive project.

I purchased my tile and countertops from Tile Collection for my bathroom remodel. I had my own installers. Help choosing tile was great! I love the end result. However, not enough countertop was ordered, which caused a 3 week delay in delivery. I was never shown the dimensions used for my estimate and therefore could not confirm when signing the contract that the correct amount was being ordered. Communication went down hill from there. My calls were not returned timely and I didn't know the install was happening until the night before. They did not offer me any discounts for the delay. My countertops are beautiful and they did a good install. I will not recommend them to anyone who wants great customer service. I knew I was paying good money for a nice product... I just wish the customer service hadn't fallen flat in its face.

This company is amazing. Everyone who worked with us was very patient and diligent. They delivered as promised and the installer was meticulous with each piece of stone he installed. The supervisor came by regularly to check the job as it progressed.
Ashley and Chrissy were great to work with in the design center. My wife and I are very detail oriented. AKA...Type A personalities, and they put up with us.
As a retired Plumbing Contractor from Los Angeles, I know what it takes to be a great service company and they are fantastic.
Now I know why their parking lot is always full of cars. We will definitely use them again.

It was easy to set up the appointment and the provider was right on time.
He immediately went to work and did an outstanding job. The area around
my sink is now repaired and very smooth. I wish I had called long ago!
The job took about an hour and Derrick was very neat and diligent in
getting a perfect outcome.

Overall a good, if long (2+ months), process. Quality work. All employees and sub-contractors were very professional, punctual and neat. Tammy was an excellent partner throughout the tile selection and was accessible and responsive throughout the whole process. Good coordination with Ferguson where all fixtures were delivered to Ferguson in Pineville and the Tile Collection picked them up. Also a good recommendation for Distinctive Cabinets. Wendy did a good job coordinating all the various parties who had to do work. With a project this large, of course, there were a couple snafus - one original tile selection not suitable for floor tile and too many holes cut in one piece of granite, but the Tile Collection immediately stepped up and offered options to get back on track. Very pleased and I would use them again.

Perfectly! Installer came in and measured to size of shower, where decorative trim would go as well as shower niche. Laid subflooring and mud for shower floor. Installed ceramic tile on floor, shower walls. Completed plumbing for shower. Glass installer came out to measure for glass shower doors. Said it would take approximately 2-3 weeks. Door was ready the next week and installed. Will definitely use Tile Collection for the Master Bath project coming up in the next few weeks! My sales rep was Teresa and she is beyond awesome!

Perfectly. My husband did the demo and Tile Collection put down the cement board, thinset, new threshold and grout in a diamond shaped pattern.

The overall experience was excellent. We had a oak floor that had been damaged by a leaky dishwasher and nneded replacement. We had used Tile Collection before and had been satisfied with their work, although there were some problems. They have a wide selection of tile to choose from, which is initially why we went back to them. We met with Wendy Rollins who assured us that this job would be perfect. She took the time to come to our house to help with the tile selection and to fully understand some of the installation details. She stayed engaged on the job and made sure that the and quot;uniquenessand quot; our job was communicated accurately to her team. We also had a fantastic installer. and quot;Zand quot; as he wanted to be called was superb in all aspects of the installation. His attention to detail, his willigness to work with us as decisions had to be made on the fine points of the job were just great. He performed as a craftsman on the job and you could tell that he took great pride in what he did. If Wendy and Z continue to be the face to customers of Tile Collection, the business will continue to have very happy customers.

The quality of the tile work and the completed project results are excellent! However, the coordination and management of the project steps and logistics was not consistent with the company's reputation nor acceptable . Our overall experience was less than acceptable and very frustrating. From the very first day, and durinig the project time frame, there were many instances when their plumbers or electricians were scheduled and did arrive on time, but the fixtures were not delivered prior to their arrival. The oversight of the project process was very poor with lack of consistency in communications, especially with respect to the coordination with the plumbing supplier and electricians. This caused a lot of rescheduling and a longer project timeframe than expected or planned for.

We placed a call to discuss our complaints about the project very early in the process with Elaine Cresser, the owner. She came to our house the same day and followed up several times during the followiing weeks to address the problems. While we appreciated her attention, most of the problems that we encountered should never have occurred and were the direct result of poor planning and project oversight/follow up.

The completed bathrooms are fantastic with beautiful tile design and excellent quality installation. Miladin is an artist who takes great pride in his work; Josh is a very diligent and excellent plumber. Karen provided great guidance from a tile design standpoint. However, I would not hire the company as a turnkey remodeling contractor given the logistics issues. There were many other companies and tile providers that were less expensive, so we were disappointed overall given the premium price we paid based on their reputation and representations.

Design staff will not visit homes, giving limited ability to personally design rooms. You really need to already know exactly what you want to deal with them successfully. Granite division was great helping you pick out your own slab, where to cut template on slab and installation. Tile people not as consistent or professional. Sub-contract painting, plumbing and electrician. Appointments and work revolved around their busy schedule, not ours, resulting in extended time to complete entire job. Definitely would use them again for granite counters.

We would never use Tile Collections again but whomever they subcontracted it out to do the work did a very professional job. They showed up on time, did a very professional job and cleaned up their mess. They answered any questions that we had. I am grading the people that actually did the work, not Tile Collections.

I would highly recommend the person who carried out the work. He was excellent.

I had an excellent experience. I had no complaints with their work. They did a good job.

I called for an estimate. They sent someone out within a week to look at the walls where the granite was to be inserted in place of the wood backboard that was currently there. When giving us a price, he actually suggested that we might want to use a remnant as it would be less expensive and he thought they would have pieces big enough to accomodate us. I made an appointment with Laura (who was extremely pleasant to deal with) to visit the showroom with the other HOA officers to pick out the granite. As soon as we made up our minds, they set up an appointment to come out and make the template followed shortly with a date to come out and do the actual installation. It looked beautiful but for a nickel sized chip in the edge of the granite which was only noticeable if you were standing close to the sign, but they promptly arranged to have someone come out and fix it with no problem at all. I would definitely use them again either for commercial or personal use.
