I wanted a glass top cut for an end table. I took over a template to Southern Glass and Plastics expecting to leave the template and pick up the glass days later. I was pleasantly surprised when Jon Smalley, the person working the counter that day,asked if I was willing to wait a few minutes and he'd do the job while I waited. That sounded good to me because it would save me time and gas in returning to pick up the glass perhaps days later. So I waited. Jon also let me watch when he cut the glass and buffed off the sharp edges while he explained to me how he cut and buffed the glass. He had to cut two of the four sides free hand and he let me see the glass he cut in comparison to the template before he was finished. I not only got my glass right away, but I also learned a little about glass cutting. The price of $16 was also less than I expected to pay.
