PLAZA APPLIANCE MART

We purchased a Thermador refrigerator and installation from Plaza Appliance Mart at Carolina Place and it was delivered to the job site of our new home but not installed though we waited all day for him to arrive.  I called our salesman Curtis and he rescheduled installation for another day because his installer had not reported in.  We waited at the job site all that day and the installer again never showed up.  I again called Curtis and he rescheduled for the following day claiming he would send a different installer since the original installer had twice not reported in.  We again waited all day the following day and the installer did not show up.  I called Curtis again and he refunded our installation fee leaving us to attempt to find our own installer.  Curtis' installer did finally show up around 6:30pm after we had left and no one was at the job site except our cabinet maker who just happened to be working late.  This turned out to be the same installer, Fernando, that never showed up the previous 2 days.  Fernando performed the installation, but later when our cabinet maker attempted to install our refrigerator panel he discovered it was installed incorrectly and he could not install our panel.  I called Curtis who looked up our record and immediately began repeating over and over that he refunded our money so it's not his problem.  I asked him if he even remembered us or the circumstances by which he refunded the money and he stated NO he did not.  He would not listen to me and kept repeating he refunded our money so Plaza is not responsible. I asked him if I could speak and he said NO.  I asked if he was just going to continue talking and making me talk over him and he said YES and continued repeating the same thing that Plaza is not responsible and he wanted us to pay for the installation he had refunded.  At this point, I had to yell to be heard over him and asked to speak with the manager and was told he was not in.  This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.  We spent nearly $9000 at their store and weren't even given the courtesy of being heard out not to mention being left waiting nearly 24 hours over the course of 3 days at a job site for an installer who didn't show up and then incorrectly performed the installation when he did.  Curtis was incredibly unprofessional and it was like trying to reason with a child. He made us feel that he had already earned his sizable commission off of our purchase so we were left without recourse.  We still have several appliances to purchase including 2 dishwashers and ovens and range top.  Had Curtis simply dealt with us cordially and reasonably, he could have realized commission on the sale of those items as well, but as it is, we will never purchase another item from that store.

This store has very knowledgeable salespeople.  They really know the brands and the differences between them.  The delivery men also knew their stuff and didn't roll the refrigerator into the house--they carried it with slings.  So no damage to my floor and no awkward maneuvering in my house.

I received great service. The salespeople were knowledgeable and helpful. The person I worked with was informed and listened to what I was looking for. The delivery was timely. The gentlemen who took away my old refrigerator and brought in the new one were professional and did a quality job on the install. I am very pleased with the whole transaction.

A few years ago, when I had built my house, they installed all the appliances for me. Hence, I chose to go with them even this time. I paid $3000 for the purchase, delivery and installation, all inclusive. I also, ha a very good experience with the sales person there and their prices were good. Everything was wonderful and they were very professional. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Price was good and the salespeople knew a lot more than the big box stores. Our biggest concern was the noise level of the dishwasher, and they were able to give us the decibel ratings on all of their models. Delivery was on time and professional.

Washer was delivered promptly and installed without problem. Installers were professional and quick, cleaned up afterward. No complaints. Store salesman was knowledgeable about the various washing machines on display there; explained their advantages clearly. However, if I had not done my own research before looking, I would have had no clue from him as to which models or brands are less than desirable compared to others. All of them were just marvelous, according to him. This failure does not induce customer loyalty.

The whole experience was extremely positive with Plaza Appliance. We would highly recommend them to other Angie's List members.

They were prompt and fixed my problem I would use them again.

I DID SOME COMPARISON SHOPPING, AND THEY HAD THE BEST PRICE ON THE APPLIANCE AND SERVICE CONTRACT. THE DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION WERE FLAWLESS, AND THE SALESMAN WAS VERY HELPFUL.
