It went great! They delivered it immediately. Quality was great. We ordered 10 cubic yards (which is a lot--like 2,000+lbs!) and there were only a couple of pieces of small trash in the whole giant pile. It was definitely comparable to bagged mulch at Lowes or Home Depot-- except a lot more cost efficient. And since they delivered it, we only had to spread it-- not load our own vehicle at the store and then unload again at home (over and over again!)
We will be using Henson's every year going forward. I was thrilled with the experience.
P.S. They have an online calculator to help you figure out how much mulch you need for your area. After also talking with them on the phone, I think the amount we got was almost exactly what we needed!

Very satisfied. Delivery on time and in exact location desired. Mulch was very good quality. The amount we ordered was not sufficient to cover our beds so we ordered a second load. Very Pleased with entire process as well as product and we would definitely use henson's again.

Called and ordered 5 yards of mulch. The lady that answered the phone was super helpful and talked me thru the measurements and amount needed. She was extremely helpful and they delivered it exactly where I asked. Very high quality mulch and very pleased. O

Mulch was delivered on time. The single grind mulch was of good quality. There were a couple big and quot;logsand quot; in the mulch and about 5 pieces of trash, but it was great mulch for the price.

I ordered 12 yards of cedar mulch. Delivered that day and they dumped it exactly where I wanted it placed. The lady who answered the phone was friendly and the driver was as well.

Easy to schedule via phone as well as pay. Phone person was quick a knowledgeable. Delivery person was accomodative and helpfull as well. Better to order in bulk than buy from the bog box stores.

This is our first spring in our new house, and we inherited a jungle of a yard needing a ton of time and money to make it look good again--starting with a coat of pine needles. Through Angie'e List, we found four local businesses with good reputations that sell pine needles--I called each of them to see who could deliver 40 bales the quickest (I called on a Saturday seeking delivery before the next weekend) and for the lowest price. Henson's employee quoted me the lowest price ($4 per bale) AND the quickest delivery. After calling the last of the four companies, I called Henson's back and ordered the pine needles. I was thrilled--delivery was scheduled for Monday. An employee called before the delivery for directions, and the driver showed up in a reasonable time frame that afternoon. The delivery guy was courteous and friendly. The only sour spot was when I looked at the receipt and realized I had been charged an extra $60 for delivery that I was not expecting. I looked back at my notes--no mention of that delivery charge. I didn't remember hearing about it, either. I emailed Henson's with my concerns--that no mention was made of this charge when I was quoted the price per bale or when I gave my credit card number. An employee responded to my email within 24 hours and offered a refund of the delivery charge. We didn't appreciate the extra charge, but mistakes happen, and Henson's certainly fixed the situation as far as we are concerned. We certainly would use them again for other materials (maybe not pine needles!) because they were professional and responsive. I haven't spread the needles yet, but they appear to be dry, clean, and tightly bundled--unlike some I have purchased through Craigslist before for less money that were wet, moldy, and full of spiders. I suppose some of the confusion is that businesses selling these materials don't all price them the same--some build the delivery into their needles ($4.99 --$5.50 per bale delivered is normal although we've found folks on Craigslist lower) but Henson's lower price does not include delivery charges. Per bale their needles are a bit more expensive then a few of their competitors at $5.90 per bale, but there's also a whole lot to be said for convenience and professionalism. Like I said, we'll certainly keep them on our list of companies to patronize again because overall our experience was positive.

Their service was excellent from the ordering to delivery process and their prices are excellent!

Henson's was able to deliver next day, on short notice. The price was very fair, upon reviewing 2 other local suppliers. The quality of the product this time was very good. Only minor issue is the delivery coming closer to noon cut into the time we had to spread throughout the property.

I called for an estimate, talked to CJ. She was very friendly and answered all my questions. I told her I would call back once I had a delivery date. I called to schedule, and she arranged for us to be first that day. The driver came around 8am, and because I live in an old neighborhood, he had to mind the trees and power lines as he dumped the mulch onto the driveway. He was very conscientious, and that was much appreciated!

They were great! They don't normally spread, but they made sure a certain person was coming out to the job to take care of it for me. They were able to come out the next day after I called. They did an absolutely great job and the house looked beautiful!

I called for the delivery of mulch and had many questions since I was switching from pine needles to mulch. The lady who answered the phone was very helpful in answering all of my questions. They delivered the mulch the same day and placed it exactly where I asked them to in my driveway and left the receipt in the door where I asked them to since I was not home for the delivery. I have already had several neighbors ask me where I got the mulch. It is very good mulch and at a very good price. I will definitely get all my mulch from Henson's in the future.

WE CALLED HENSON'S AFTER WE COULD NOT GET THE COUNTY TO DELIVER COMPOST TO US IN A TIMELY MANNER. HENSON'S WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE A DELIVERY TIME WITHIN A FEW DAYS AND THEIR PRICE WAS CHEAPER THAN THE COUNTY. THEY DELIVERED AS PROMISED. HOWEVER, THE SOIL CONDITIONER CONTAINED MANY LARGE LUMPS THAT WERE HARD TO BREAK UP. IT WAS NOT AS GOOD QUALITY AS COMPOST WE'VE OBTAINED IN THE PAST THROUGH THE COUNTY.
