ETHAN ALLEN

Not to our satisfaction since Ethan Allen has a good reputation and we have spent over $20,000 with them in the purchase of furniture during our time using EA as a preferred source for furniture. The expensive area rug we purchased from EA started to have the "twist" in the loops/strands unfurl and look terrible. They came to our home to assess with their supervisor who contacted the manufacture. We were told we were not "maintaining" the area rug correctly. We have had it verified by a carpet professional that the rug they should us should NOT have "unfurled". They offered no remediation or recourse and our expensive area rug looks terrible. Other than that, we are satisfied with their products and sales staff. Very professional, but one instance can sour the good brand name and reputation that Ethan Allen has built up over the years with both quality products and solid follow-up. Sad.

Sales rep helped me choose furniture to match my existing things (nice design service). They verbally promised to have the furniture delivered by Thanksgiving, and by Christmas, there is still no sight of it. I have purchased one of the pieces already, but they cannot get the leather for the sofa from a supplier. They have called to apologize but cannot seem to work out their supplier/vendor issue. Overall, I am not impressed, and for an expensive store, I was expecting much better customer service.

There was some confusion with the ordering of the lamp. They first gave us the floor model and then when the new one arrived they gave it to someone else. In all, we had to wait four months for the lamp that should have only taken 6-8 weeks. We are happy with the actual lamp but the process took too long.

THE DESIGNER, WILL, THAT I INITIALLY HAD WAS EXCELLENT, BUT HE LEFT THE COMPANY MID STREAM AND THEY GAVE ME SOMEONE ELSE, BUT I REALLY LIKED THE PERSON I HAD. THE TECHNICIAN THAT THEY SENT OUT WAS FINE. I STILL DON'T HAVE ALL MY WINDOW TREATMENTS AND IT HAS BEEN ABOUT 4 MONTHS.
