TERRIBLE-WORSE THAN BAD-STRESSFUL

Work started in January 2012. Partially finished end of May 2012. Contracted work not completed but paid for. Company refuses to respond or refund. My condo was damaged by water in August 2011. I contacted Custom Care Restoration because they had many many positive reviews. They came out and did a wonderful job on the clean up. I contracted them to do the repair work but ask to delay the work until January 2012. They started the repair in January 2012. My first contact was Marc Battiste who quoted the job. Sheet rock was cut out but no progress was made so in February I called to find out the hold up. I was referred to Matt Fredericks. Matt came out and looked at what needed to be done. When no additional work was done by February I phoned Custom Care and was referred to Matt Frederickson. I met with Matt to show him the work I needed done. He suggested additional work which I liked. He said I would have to put down a deposit. I asked if I could give him the insurance check. He said I would and any overage would be refunded to me by check. On March 4 I sent Matt an e-mail asking that at least the damaged room be repaired to I could rent or sell the condo. Matt said he would get the work back on track. No work was done I sent another e-mail on March 16. He replied that he was waiting for the flooring to come in. On March 20 I received a call from a co-worker interested in buying my condo. I e-mailed Matt on March 21 to hurry and get the work done. A couple of weeks later the flooring was put in. I hoped we would be back on track. It was April. In May I learned that Marc Battiste no longer worked at Custom Care, Matt Frederickson no longer worked at Custom Care and the new person was Paul. I spoke with Paul who knew nothing about my work. I told him I needed the sheet rock patched, the room painted, the door to the air handler replaced and I was going to hire someone to do it. He said they had already paid a painter to do the work and it would be done shortly. I received a phone call later from the painter who had no knowledge of the job and wanted to arrange a time to come out and see it. On May 23 the last item in that one room was completed. None of the other work had been started, my condo was one inch thick in sheet rock dust, all my furniture had been stacked up in my living room since January so I sent an e-mail to come get the lock box off my door and refund the money they had been paid for work not done. I had an appointment with Paul at 2pm on May 24 to show him the work that was not done. He did not show or call. I moved the furniture back myself with a broken arm. Since that time I faxed Paul on June 6 and called him on June 19, 22nd, and 25th. He has not returned my call of responded to my fax.

I was pleased with their services.  They did a thorough job.

It was an excellent experience!  It was particulary wonderful because we were in different states when they were working on the project.  They communicated effectively with me and kept me updated with the status. I would highly recommend Custom Care Restoration Inc.!
