"Black Dog Responding to Member's complaint. Black Dog Has a A rating with BBB. Member bought flooring from BD, and choose to have Woodway install it. Woodway is one of several contractors BD used at that time. Member was contacting Woodway flooring about her floor for several months before she ever contacted Black Dog Discount Carpet outlet. Once she called BD we took action to find out what was stressing the floor. She had several issues with her sub floor. Member took BD and Woodway to court, the judge found Woodway flooring responsible for replacing the floor or refunding Member. The floor was leveled, but not enough according to the Inspector. Glueing engineered wood floors on cement slabs can create issues due to mositure levels in slab that change through the season, along with the fact there is no perfect flat cement slab."
"When BD comes out to measure a house for several different types of flooring or just one type of floor, this process takes time. We have to sit down and figure seam placement, floor prep if needed etc. The member was being unrealistic. As far as giving him a quote on tile over the phone. I need to know what type of tile, what size of tile, I never got any information back from the member. I cant give a quote unless I know what I am quoting. All measurements done by BD that are paid for by the customer are entitled to a copy of there measurements. Via fax, or they can come in and pick them up."
