Amazing! Would recommend to anyone. It was thorough and informative.

They were very efficient.  They give a very detailed report and tips for new homeowners.  He was very thorough and inspected for about four hours.  The only issue was that the gentleman smelled of cigarette smoke.

It went great. Marty put the things that needed to be fixed in the report, but as I followed him around. He told me about other things that might need a touch up that could help with the sale.

Marty was the man who inspected my home, he was very polite. He took off his shoes and everything. As we walked through the house with him, he explained everything as he went, in detail. He made sure we understood what he was talking about before moving on to inspect another room. He also provided us with some painters tape to mark any deficiencies we found in the home. Overall, I would recommend this company. They are professional and polite. The experience was enjoyable and we actually learned some things about our home.

I called just looking for some info and to coordinate for someone to inspect my rental property since I live in a different state.
The contractor I spoke to on the phone was very polite and asked me some basic question and the location of the property.
He said he happened to be just a few miles away and would be happy to go take a look at it right then.
After coordinating with my tenant the contractor went to the home and did a thorough interior and exterior inspection and informed me the dry wall issues are most likely just normal setting of the home. The offered advice as to a few actions I could take.
Since he was so close and did not have to make a special trip, there was no charge for this service.
Outstanding company with customer service that you rarely find anymore these days.

Marty showed up and did an in depth inspection of the entire house starting in the kitchen checking everything you could possibly think of. After that we went to the exterior house and explained to me while I was following him around his findings and answering any questions I had on the house. We then did the inside of the house completely testing the heating and AC units. Every square inch of the house was inspected and being the owners of the house did not take care of anything so the report was really long and detailed. We are going to take marty's report back to the sellers and either get them to fix all issues or get money off the purchase price to make up for the difference to fix the problems. I recommend Marty to anyone trying to buy a house to make sure they know what they are getting into with a home.

Marty was very thorough and very informative. He was able to answer all my questions and explained exactly what he was looking for and why. He also offered advice such as obtaining documents from the builders showing that certain things were built correctly that could not be verified visually (such as the stone skirting).

They were great. I just had to make an appointment; they met me at my property and did the home inspection. They looked at everything that a home inspector would look at like the roof, hot water heater, air conditioning and windows.

From the beginning Marty exuded knowledge and attention to detail.  When I called to request a quote for his services he explained to me in depth his procedures for testing the heat pumps, emergency, and auxiliary systems of our heat pumps.  He did not otherwise try to oversell his services in any way.  He was very flexible and willing to work with us, and scheduled to do the inspection on a Saturday afternoon to meet our schedule.  During the inspection he was extremely thorough and walked me through every nook, cranny, and appliance in the house.  He has a very sharp eye and identified everything of note, both positive and negative.
As for the price, I found that his rates were competitive for the area.  I was used to the prices when I bought my first house in Tennessee, where the average price was $150, but he is well within the averages we received when calling around for quotes. 
In quality, he wrote a very lengthy and detailed report, with a concise and clear summary that we were able to send to the sellers for repairs.  My only negative in the quality column is that about 15% of the deficiencies noted in the report were not supported with photographs, but that is mostly because he spent twice as much time answering my questions and teaching me about the house than he did writing the report, so that is more my fault than his. 
He was very punctual with returned phone calls and emails.  I gave him a "B" only because he got the report to us two days later than he promised, but again, that is because he crammed his schedule to meet ours, causing him to fall behind his timeline.  
Marty was very patient and knowledgeable, and the most valuable thing I received from his inspection is that I understand that house from top to bottom.  I would recommend his services to anyone, and I will be using him again myself. 

Though we needed such a quick turn around, Marty was more than happy to have us follow him through the house asking questions. He was very thorough and mentioned helpful tips along the way, knowing we were first time home buyers. We were very happy with Marty's expertise, thoughtfulness and timeliness. (He even offered a military discount, which is always great.)

Alan was very professional and very thorough.  He combed through every inch of our prospective house and provided a great binder with all of his detailed findings.  He also encouraged us to follow him along during the inspection and ask questions during the process.  He was very patient with us being first time homebuyers.  If we had questions after the fact he was very responsive to emails and phone calls.

Guilford Barnhill did an inspection at the home I was looking to purchase.  I was there with him while he did the inspection and I think he did a great job.  This was my first home buying experience so I didn't know anything.  He was very informative and helpful and didn't mind me asking questions.  He spend about 3 hrs inspecting the ~1500sq ft house.  I definitely would recommend him to anyone.

It went very well.  He showed up earlier than I did and was already in the backyard getting an idea of what all he would need to look at when I arrived.  He definitely knew what he was doing and he took me through every single part of the inspection pointing out all of the things that could cause me problems or that weren't up to current code.  He checked every single outlet for correct polarity and showed me what circuits had GFI and was very knowledgeable about any questions I had.  I got lucky that I was purchasing from a couple who had taken immaculate care of their home and only had 3 major issues that needed to be corrected.  Marty spoke to them and offered references, even though I was the one who hired him.  He provided me with a 3 ring binder to help me keep track of the paperwork and it contained a brochure with local companies that provide every home improvement service you could think of.  If I were to stick around Fayetteville/Raeford I would definitely use him again.  He normally charges $320, but gave me a 20 dollar discount for being in the Army.

Marty was recommended to me by another Pillar to Post Inspector who I had originally wanted to work with, I could not have been more impressed with the experience. Marty was very professional, personable and thorough in his inspection and his customer interaction. He was willing to answer questions by phone and entertain ideas prior to and after the inspection. In a buyers market like today it is important for buyers to get as much information about their potential home as possible, especially when looking at foreclosures, with an inspector like Marty you will be doing everything you can as a buyer to protect yourself. As an added benefit Marty is knowledgeable about solutions to many types of problems that may come up during an inspection.

Marty came out on short notice (Sunday) to look over a house we were interested in buying. He allowed me to go through the walk through explaining each step of the way what the state of NC requires and for each step went further. He covered every aspect of the house. I noticed how methodical he was instead of jumping around. Any questions I had, Marty answered and explained the specifics behind anything I asked. I would and will definitely recommend Marty to anyone wanting to find out if there is anything wrong or right with a house you are looking to buy. In fact I am going to have Marty inspect the house I am going to sell so I know there will be no surprises from another inspector.
