Based on my experience, I would not recommend Tommy Howe Jr. for landscaping or irrigation work. I believe him to be unethical, unprofessional, dishonest, and not a man of his word. I would be surprised if I'm the first to complain about his services.
Tommy failed to supervise his crew and refused to meet with me to discuss the services he promised (verbal and contractual). He failed to follow the community CCR's; planted bushes that died and then did not honor his warranty to replace them; failed to plant all the bushes in accordance with the contract; failed to plant all of the 1400 sq ft of sod in the contract; failed to seed and straw the sides of the house; and failed to remove the overgrowth we discussed when we walked the lot during his estimate. After numerous complaints, he refused to address my concerns and fix the deficiencies and was content with sending a couple of guys back to the house to throw down more pine straw.
I was contacted by the Developer on 12 October 2015 and told that Tommy Howe Jr. didn't submit the architectural plan to the Community Review Board until mid August. This was 2 weeks after we closed on the house which was an assumed attempt by him to try and pass the cost to us to bring the yard into compliance (approx. $3000). The General Contractor (Goneau Construction) failed to hold Tommy accountable for his unfinished work and the Developer had to pay for the service to bring us into compliance with the community CCR's.
