"Iza V. has never been my client. I have just checked my schedule for this for the last 7 years, plus reviewed all Goldsboro appointments over the last seven years for anyone with the last name beginning "V" or anyone with a name like Elizabeth that she might truncate to Iza as a nickname. This review is a mistake or she is confused, methinks. Perhaps this was one of the callers we get about once a month that is a little confused about what we do and thinks we are a volunteer organization, a government agency, or such and was disappointed at being told that there is an appropriate fee for the services we provide, as a business, for the work we do. I cannot really say."
"Honestly, I do not know what to say. This man was VERY complimentary on site of me, his builder, and the entire process. BUT he initially wanted to complain about knot holes in wood, stains on concrete that was to be covered up later by finished goods, and other pedantic issues like that which are VERY normal of a construction site. Remember this inspection was when the systems are only roughed in. Further, he wanted me to report on things such as the type of tub being installed and about a fiberglass shower pan. These are things BEYOND the inspection. These deal with written agreements between the builder and buyer and the agreed price/materials choices. I reported on what I saw on site. The conditions on site were very good, and I voluntarily offered him a discount at the end, at that time because I felt like there was little to report. I won't argue about time, that's just unreal. I was there more than 30 minutes, but he expected me to take a ladder and check every square foot of the exterior. That's well beyond the scope. The reason we have good reviews is our customers generally expect good work, not an agent to come make his impossible expectations a reality. If you have ever dealt with someone who expected the kitchen to be spotless DURING the cooking of a huge dinner, you know this man. You cannot make an unreasonible person happy. Look at our overall reviews. This statistical anomaly is because of the unreasonable expectations of a perfectionist who thinks I can complain for him about grades of lumber, ongoing project matters, et cetera... not about the actual craftsmanship of the home. If anything, it proves the reviews are real, not made up. I stood in the sales office beside this man and asked repeatedly if he had any questions or comments and he told me thank you for my time. I walked through with him and answered questions about tile, flashing, underlayments, tape, dust, and more. I am flabbergasted. He complains on line, aiming to inflict harm, but paid for the service at the END, rather than complain or ask questions to me directly, and has not contacted me directly at all. If he had complained to the owner, me, he would have gotten a proper response, which would be like this one, but also a no questions asked refund. I don't believe his review. Incidentally, the language he sank to in this review is some indication of his calibur, and he DOES pay for the town Code enforcement officials, these costs are fees the builder pays when getting permits and are a cost in the price of the home. This shows his lack of understanding of how the process of construction and costs/budgeting works. Perhaps he thinks the city official works for free? You can't satisfy an unreasonable person. Thank you, sir, for proving the adage that no one sick above the crowd without having a few tomatoes thrown their way."
