Bo Timothy Holloman Construction

Description of Work: A contract was signed for a 2-car garage with completed bonus room for a total price of $41,850.00. Work began 7/1/2009. Mr. Holloman told us it would take about 4 months to complete the job. Things started going well and we were seeing progress. He wanted money every week, telling us he was buying the garage doors, windows, framing/sheetrock for upstairs, etc. We began to notice that these things were not showing up and neither was he. Work came to a standstill. I started adding the numbers and realized that as of September 25, we had paid him a total of $36,000.00. We knew it would take way more than the remaining $5,850.00 we owed him to complete the garage (see below for what was not done). He continued to seek money from us, even calling me at work, but I told him we wouldn't pay him anymore until the job was finished. He didn't show up for over a month, and we started calling him every day. Of course, he didn't answer or return our calls. When I called using a friends phone, he would pick up because he didn't recognize the number, he would only lie and repeat previous lies he told (wife's grandma died, son always in court, etc). He promised it would be finished by 12/25/2009, it was not. He then promised it would be finished by 1/31/10, it was not. He last came to the job for approximately 3 hours on 1/27/10 to partially frame the garage doors (that needed to be redone by professionals). We have not seen nor talked to him since that date. Depsite numerous calls to Mr Holloman, he refuses to answer. Contractors began coming by our home looking for him, as he had not paid them or had either written them worthless checks. We were basically left with a shell building. We didn't have any garage doors and no trimming/finish work downstairs. Water was supposed to be ran to the garage with a sink installed, not done. He was supposed to build brick steps to replace the wood ones he destroyed, not done. Absolutely nothing was done upstairs. The completed bonus room was supposed to have heat/air, carpet, recessed lighting, insulation. It is bare - no kneewall, insulation, drywall - nothing. Wiring/electrical not completed. The stairway leading up to the bonus room has no door, steps are just boards, and no drywall. Job was left totally unfinished. The work that was done was not done professionally. He simply left us with a complete mess after he got almost every dime. When he realized he had scammed us all he could and wouldn't be getting any more money, he left.
