Phillip and his crew were terrific to work with. He wasn't the lowest bid, but having talked with each bidder, he was definitely the most knowledgeable so worth the difference. He and the crew were on time, friendly, and worked every day until the job was finished. For the most part, Phillip is on site for the work. Clean up was great. We had three different colors going, some rotted wood to replace, and many bushes and trees that had to be worked around. The shutters were sprayed to change the color, and after that was completed and the sprayer cleaned, I found 4 more shutters in the garage that are extras. Very cordially set up again and sprayed those as well. I can highly recommend Phillip and Vice Versa Painting.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I booked Vice Versa Painting almost two months ago. I had to keep in touch with their representative to remind them of our appointment. A couple days before my appointment I attempted contact with the company with no response. My appointment was scheduled and Vice Versa failed to show. Irresponsible and unorganized company. You literally have to chase them down.

Perfect! He shows up on time, is friendly and professional, and his prices are very reasonable. He is very neat, he even took his shoes off at the door, and he respects your home. He knows his business and knows more about painting than anyone else we've ever hired. He's very, very good at what he does. I already have plans to use his services in the future.

Phillip showed up for the estimate on time and prepared. We had a bid in 2 days. It wasn't the cheapest but after talking to him at length when he was assessing for the estimate, I felt he was very conscientious - felt that his word was his bond. He and his workers showed up when scheduled and spent 3 full days replacing rotted wood and caulking. He found areas of needed repair that we hadn't seen and hadn't been on the list of repairs; he took care of it anyway with no additional charge. The painting was neat and clean, he and his crew worked everyday, and remained both professional and very personable. When he finished, he walked around the house with me to be sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. I didn't have a color for the front door settled on when he finished, but was happy to come back and take care of it when I made up my mind. It is rare today to find someone as willing to stand behind his word on all counts as Phillip was. A joy to work with. We will never use a different painter and I can highly recommend his work.

Philip was amazing - he was responsive, professional, reliable, and precise in his work and his estimates. He and JD are very talented painters who did an excellent job, we highly recommend to anyone who needs a great painter at a reasonable price. We plan on contacting Philip again for any other paint jobs needed in the future! Also of note, he painted our bathroom in the dark while our light fixture was out and did a great job!

He was fast and pleasant to talk to but after it was all done I could see that the cabinets were not properly sanded before they were painted. After it was done, he cleaned out his painting equipment in the front yard which killed the lawn where the paint soaked into it. I had to have him come back and repaint a cabinet door and apparently he wasn't too happy about that because he verbally tried to intimidate me by arguing politics.

Philip responded very quickly to my emails. He did the work in half the time he estimated and it was a great job!

Philip with Vice Versa painting was absolutely terrific! I have never taken the time to write a review before, but wanted to share my experience this time because the whole experience, from the first phone call to the excellent finished painting job, was such an easy pain-free process. I live in Germany so there are normally some hassles involved with hiring people to work on my rental property in NC. Due to the positive reviews on Angie’s List and Philip’s professionalism, I decided to hire him to paint four ceilings in my rental property. Due to my tenant’s schedule, Philip was flexible and did the work on a Saturday even though he normally doesn’t work on the weekends. The price was very reasonable and he even agreed to bill part of the job separately to another party. Philip was on time and did a great job, even going above and beyond and doing more than I asked. My tenant is happy with the work too. Every time I emailed Philip, he emailed or called me right back. For your interior painting jobs, I can’t recommend him and Vice Versa enough! Don’t forget to mention the Angie’s List 10% discount!

I needed the exterior of my 100 year old house painted. Phillip was very responsive in returning my call and coming out to the house to give me an estimate. He and his crew we an absolute delight to have working on my house. They showed up on time, worked diligently, and meticulously to paint. The weather was less than cooperative for them, but they worked around the interruptions to complete the work in a timely manner. They were quiet and unobtrusive when they were working at the house. They cleaned up at the end of the day and left the job site pristine. Phillip made several suggestions about accent colors on the house and I love how it turned out - the house looks fantastic! I will hire Phillip for other painting work at my house and will recommend him to my employer for painting work at the office.

He and helper were here at the appointed time and worked diligently through nine hours with a hour lunch break, although he said it would take two days. After moving stuff, removing vents and prepping, they had finished the ceiling and cut in most of the rooms by lunch. They put two coats on after lunch and cleaned up by five with outstanding results. Great job and guys.

Outstanding couldn't ask for a better job or price Phillip and his crew were always on time and did what ever we asked. This was the best experience we have had with a contractor ever. Would recommend highly for any one who needs this service.

Outstanding work and very professional.  The house looks fresh and vibrant again - ready to go on the market to be sold!  Even finished a day earlier than originally estimated despite my asking for adding a few areas onto the original job. I highly recommend Philip and his crew.
