After some researching on his part, Dan found and ordered the correct mechanism to replace in the clock. He called several times to update us on the progress. He picked up the housing from us and in a couple days he called to say the part had arrived and advised us when he would be bringing the housing back and replacing the movement mechanism. Dan called that morning to let us know the exact time and arrived promptly. Dan is very professional and explained exactly what he was doing, as well how we could make any slight adjustments to the time in the future, if needed. He also explained exactly how the old movement had worn out. The entire project was done in a very timely manner. We certainly appreciated his efforts, even though our grandfather's clock was a "modern" clock, as he said, from 1974, and he normally works on antiques.

Mr Buffinga disassembled the clockworks, repaired the mechanism, polished all parts, and tested the clock for accuracy when the repairs were finished. His time and cost estimates are accurate, fair, and reasonable. This is the fifth time he has repaired clocks for me over the years and I recommend him very highly. I have had dealings with other clock repair services in the area and none of them are nearly as good.
