Mr. Prescott came by in December 2011 to survey the damage from Hurricane Irene and provide an estimate. I was impressed with his knowledge and that he paid close attention to the unique challenges of repairing my property. His construction crew began wotk in January 2012. The work required bringing in heavy machinery to remove the old, damaged bulkhead and installing new pilings and vinyl panels for a new bulkhead. In addition, he had to bring in about 15 loads of dirt to replace the sections of lawn that had been washed away. The job took longer than estimated, primarily because the work crew was also repairing my next door neighbor's bulkhead and the crew ran into some unexpected drainage problems on my neighbor's property. Throughout the process, Mr. Prescott and his crew leader kept us informed of the progress and the next steps. We were very pleased with the finished process. There was only one small negative comment to add. Prescott put in place a french drain (drainage ditch) between my prpperty and my neighbor's yard which is a bit higher in elevation. It required several reminders before a cover over the drain was installed to complete the job. Overall, I was very happy with the professional work provided by Prescott Marine Construction and would not hesitate to use them again.
