I set up an air-conditioning repair job on Angi. I was contacted the next day by the AAC Services technician who, after asking a few troubleshooting questions, offered to come by the same day for an after 5pm appointment. The technician, Ken, called at 4:50 to notify me that he had encountered slow "5 o'clock" traffic on I-40 and would be arriving shortly after 5. Ken was knowledgeable, courteous, and dedicated while determining the exact trouble with my AC system and recommending options for repair and preventative maintenance going forward. I will be hiring AAC Services again beginning next year for routine maintenance. I would recommend AAC Services to anyone in the Hickory, Newton/Conover area who needs HVAC repair or service from experienced and friendly technicians.

Ken answered my call immediately, he was at my house within an hour. He was so knowledgeable and professional, he gave me some great ideas and suggestions for the issues I was having. I will definitely contact him again if I have issues.

Ken is the owner of this business and addressed himself as a good honest person. In fact, he is untrustworthy who preys on those in need of HVAC/AC services. I was out of town and requested a quote from him on my ac unit. He said it would be $89 to do the estimate, which would explain what was wrong with the unit. I agreed to pay the fee. Within an hour of doing the work, Ken called me back and said he needed $70 more to check the compressor, which he thought was already bad. He stated that it was hard to get to but that I needed to rule it out as a possible problem. I paid the $70, and within 10mins he called me back and said, just like it thought your compressor is no good. I then questioned the fraudulent charge of $70 and realized that $89 should have included the compressor since it was part of the unit. On top of that, it took him less than 10 mins to, so call check it out. He not only charged me the $89, plus $70 but then added taxes for his labor. What a rip-off. I later called him back and asked to have the $70 refunded or I will seek legal action. He then told me to do what I have to do because he runs that town and everyone know him. Stay away from this guy.
