Sales rep was great! So was our install crew, except for when their personal schedule delayed the project a few days. I'm not sure the ownership of the company supports the sales and install staff as they should. We are very satisfied with the end product, but could have been better coordination, as the materials order was incorrect and that combined with personal schedule (not other jobs) delayed the completion beyond what was promised.

Our experience was with Seegars Fencing in Hillsborough, NC, not  New Hill.   Our original request was for all fence posts and rails  that needed, to be replaced, get replaced, and additional fencing be built.   Jason came when he said he would walked the old fence to determine what needed replacing .  We agreed on his estimate, the new fence was awesome.  About 2 months after the job was done, one old old fence rail fell out and one broke in 2.  When I called Jason he wanted nothing to do with me. He basically stopped taking my phone calls after the first one.  He made it clear he provided us with what he estimated.  I told him I felt it was his job to have done the estimate correctly and offered to pay for the new railing.  He basically blew me off completely and about 3 weeks later had a different type of fence post delivered to our home.  The fence posts he had delivered were not cut to size, so we need to cut it, bevel it and install it.  He made his point.  If you use them, make sure you walk the entire project and point out any issues you see, BEFORE you pay them.  The did a good job, but in hindsight left a bad taste in our mouths thanks to the after treatment.

Prompt service and installation according to plan. No issues and no changes to plan or estimate required. Very satisfied with results.

Matthew came out for the bid and was friendly and eager to have the job. I mailed in the contract and set a date for when they would come. i wanted to be there when they arrived to point out some things. I waited and waited that morning and no show. I called Matthew who said the guys would be there at the end of the day, which did not work for me. He said he didn't realize I was expecting him early, even though we had talked about this just a couple days before. We rescheduled it for a morning I could be there when they started.

The 2 guys showed up on time, but don't think they understood much of what I said. There was no supervisor there to get them started or check on their work during the day. When I checked the job at the end of the day, there was a large piece of concrete footing laying next to the gate that had not been cleaned up. Three of the posts at the back of our fence line were not removed. There were replacement posts in place right next to them. The problem is that two of the posts left in place were where there was a joint in the wire fencing. Once those posts rotted away, there would be a breech in the fence. Not sure why the third post was not dug up.

I tried calling Matthew twice over the next week and a half and got no call back. Then I called the office explaining the problem, and that I was not satisfied and would not be paying the balance of the bill until I was. They were very pleasant and understanding on the phone, and I got an immediate call back from Matthew. Once he understood the problem, which took some explaining, he said he would get them out very soon to fix it. It took about another week, but they did replace and remove all the posts, fixing the areas where the fence joined up. Of course that block of concrete footing was still sitting by the gate!

So in the end the quality of the work completed was pretty good. But there was no supervision that I saw, or any urgency to fix the problem from the job supervisor, or whatever Matthew's role was. I was not there when they came back the second time, and there may have been oversight then. Communication was poor, and I was not contacted after the final work was completed to see if everything was okay, which is what I would have done if I was concerned about customer satisfaction. Probably what in the end led me to take the time to file this report.

They were responsive by e-mail and phone. They had done my neighbor’s yard.

The fence looks great, but it took longer than expected. The only complaint that I have is that there are oil stains in my driveway from their truck. He was very nice and answered our questions. He did a great job.

We met Seegars and Ken at the Southern Ideal Home Show. We have an older chainlink fence that needs repairing, need to add a gate, and add a section of privacy fencing. They seemed to be able to do it all AND have the name to stand behind their work. We were scheduled with Matthew for a quote. He did arrive when scheduled, spent time walking our yard and discussing our needs. He promised a quote by the next day and left. We never heard back from him. After two weeks we started calling, after several complaints, calls, emails, and several more days, we received a quote for only part of what we discussed. So, we started calling and emailing again. After several more complaints, calls and emails we received an email with an estimate written in the email, but no actaul quote and Matthew asking if we wanted a quote. After several more emails and calls we received a quote attached to an email from Matthew complaining that we had called his manager and needed to stop complaining about him. This process has now lasted approximately 5-6 weeks. We thought it was worth being persistent due to their reputation. However, given the difficulty in getting a simple quote and the really poor attitude and customer service. I can't imagine what it would be like to actually have them do work.

My experience with them was great. They had a competitive price and they offered suggestions for me. I would recommend them and use them again in the future.

They were great. Initially I got an estimate for vinyl and wood fencing. When I realized how expensive that would be, the salesman didn't pressure me, instead he suggested a cheaper alternative of putting wood gates and fencing along the side of the house and chain link fencing around the rest that people wouldn't be able to see from the road. It was the perfect solution and was a third the cost. They installed the fencing the week after I received the estimate. I couldn't be happier!
