We were introduced to DLW Services through a
LivingSocial deal offering discounted lawn cutting services. My husband initially had trouble contacting
the owner Kim to schedule (she did not return voicemails or text messages) and
so I contacted Kim to schedule lawn service and did not have the same issues
initially. My voicemails and text messages were returned within the same
business day and so we went about scheduling our package deal. The service we
received from the owner?s son Vince was great the first time but seemed to go
downhill from there. The first time, they edged, cut in straight lines, and
left the yard looking pristine. On subsequent visits, we noticed the edging
stopped, the lines got way and were not in straight patterns, and the overall
look was not quite the same. For the price though, we were happy with the
product we received and just assumed we were getting what we paid for, as I?m
not interested in being featured in Better Homes & Gardens, just having a
nice lawn. After several months of using the LivingSocial deals, our package
ran out. I contacted Kim, the owner, to see if we could agree on a new rate. I
also offered to hand out flyers in our neighborhood in an attempt to help DLW
get additional business; since she had told me multiple times she was a single
mother employing her (3) sons. Kim was very kind and appreciative of my help
and offered me a fantastic new rate and promised to give as equally great of a
deal to any interested neighbors. Sadly, right after this conversation, I tried
to schedule lawn service. My messages were met with a response ?we?ll get back
to you in a couple of days? and several days later I was informed the family
would be going out of town for the weekend and that it would be another week
before our lawn would be serviced. We needed servicing on the day I called so I
was insistent about following up. Kim finally wrote me back and told me they?d
be there the following Tuesday. When Tuesday came, I sent Kim a message to find
out what time her son Vince would be here. She replied that I didn?t confirm
our appointment, even though I?ve never confirmed them before, and even though
she stopped responding to my messages the week prior. She said she?d do what
she could; and that?s where the contact stopped. My text messages were then
ignored. I called and left a message, which was ignored. I went to the website
and did a ?Contact Us? and it was ignored. I even called the next day pleading
with them to come and service my lawn, since they had kept me waiting for weeks
and knew personally we did not have a mower. Everything was IGNORED in the most
unprofessional of ways. I never did hear back from Kim, which was unfortunate,
because we were happy with the service and she was always telling us they
needed business, but then ignored us. I can?t in good faith recommend DLW to my
neighbors, friends, or anyone out there. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable
company that is organized, professional, and cares about their customers
because unfortunately, that?s not DLW. If you want a lawn that looks like a
jungle and/or want to experience unprofessionalism in it?s purest form, give
DLW a call.
