Mr. Phaup wrote up a contract before he began and let me know how he planned on doing the project. He was always available by email and answered any questions promptly. He did some of the work himself but had two men whom he supervised to do most of the work. The workers were friendly and did a good job. The only complaint was he was busy, as most good workers are, and at times there were a few delays along the way while he spent a few days finishing up another job. The screen door was not hinged properly by one of the workers and has had to be rehung and a quarter inch taken off the bottom so it opens easier. Later last year (2012) my daughter sent him pictures of shutters she wanted for her house and sent him the sizes. He constructed them and even primed them. His fees for what he accomplishes is very reasonable, and he seems to offer little bonuses without asking for additional money.
